Minnesota Lake Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Port Huron, Michigan area, Minnesota Lake, situated at 1219 Minnesota Rd, Port Huron, MI 48060, USA, is a mobile home community that may offer long-term residency options for recreational vehicles. While the primary focus of a mobile home park is typically on manufactured housing, it is possible that Minnesota Lake has provisions for accommodating RVs on a long-term basis. However, it is crucial to consider all available information before making any decisions.
Port Huron, located at the southern end of Lake Huron, offers a mix of waterfront living and small-town charm. Its location provides access to recreational activities, local amenities, and services. For those seeking "RV parks near me" that offer proximity to the Great Lakes region, Port Huron could be an appealing area to consider.
However, the online reviews for Minnesota Lake raise significant concerns that potential residents, especially those with children, should carefully evaluate. One review explicitly warns families with children against moving to the community, citing the presence of two gangs, one composed of high school-aged individuals and another of middle/elementary school-aged children. The reviewer expresses fear for their youngest child's safety and states that their children can no longer leave their yard without fear of being assaulted. This review also recounts a disturbing incident where a child allegedly threatened to set the reviewer's children on fire while holding a gas container, and the subsequent difficulty law enforcement faced in getting the child's mother to cooperate.
Another review highlights significant issues with maintenance response times. The reviewer claims to have waited three months for the completion of repairs that were needed since their move-in. They attribute this delay to a limited maintenance staff of only three individuals serving approximately 300 trailers, making it challenging to address non-emergency maintenance requests promptly. This suggests potential challenges in getting timely repairs for any issues that might arise with an RV as well.
Given these serious allegations regarding safety and maintenance, anyone considering Minnesota Lake as a potential "RV park near me" must proceed with extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence. Relying solely on the limited positive aspects of the location (proximity to Port Huron) would be imprudent without a comprehensive understanding of the current living conditions within the community.
If you are still considering Minnesota Lake, it is absolutely essential to contact the management directly at (810) 388-9240 or +1 810-388-9240. When you call, you should ask specific and direct questions about:
- Do you currently accommodate recreational vehicles for long-term stays?
- Are there designated and secure spaces available for RVs?
- What are the monthly or long-term rental rates for RV spaces?
- What specific amenities and services are provided for RV residents (e.g., hookups for water, sewer, electricity)?
- What security measures are in place within the community to ensure the safety of all residents, particularly children?
- What is the process for addressing safety concerns raised by residents?
- What is the current maintenance response time for issues reported by residents, including those in RVs?
- Can you provide information about the community's environment and any efforts being made to address the issues raised in the online reviews?
- What are the community rules and regulations that would apply to RV residents, including those pertaining to the behavior of children and teenagers?
It is imperative to seek clear and satisfactory answers to these questions before even considering a visit to the property. If the management is unwilling or unable to address the serious concerns raised in the reviews adequately, it would be wise to explore other options for "RV parks near me" in the Port Huron area.
The negative reviews paint a concerning picture of the community environment and management's responsiveness. While it is possible that the situation has improved, potential residents should not assume this without explicit confirmation and evidence from the current management. The safety and well-being of yourself and your family should be the top priority when choosing a long-term living location.
Therefore, if you are looking for "RV parks near me" in Port Huron, Michigan, approach Minnesota Lake with significant caution. Prioritize direct communication with the management to address the serious concerns raised in the online reviews regarding safety and maintenance. Do not make any assumptions about the current living conditions based solely on the location. Your thorough investigation will be crucial in determining if Minnesota Lake can provide a safe and comfortable long-term living environment for you and your family.
In conclusion, Minnesota Lake is a mobile home community in Port Huron, Michigan, that might offer long-term RV stays. However, alarming online reviews detailing gang activity involving children and severely delayed maintenance raise significant red flags. It is absolutely essential to contact the management directly at (810) 388-9240 or +1 810-388-9240 to seek detailed explanations and assurances regarding safety and service before considering this as one of your options for "RV parks near me." Proceed with extreme caution and prioritize your safety and well-being.

Minnesota Lake Reviews
If you have children DO NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT MOVE THERE!!!There are 2 gangs here. One made of high school aged kids and one made of middle/ elementary school kids. My kids can no longer leave our yard without fear of being jumped all. I'm fearful for the youngest life. My kids have been threatened to be set on fire by a child as he has a gas container in his hands, and when the COP went to the childs house, the mother yelled out "I'm not answering the door, I'm busy" even when they said it was the cops...took the cops threatening to brake the door done for the mother to finally answer the door.
Oct 28, 2023 · LovableColtIt is hard for u to get maintenance to come overTo fix any problems. I have been waiting 3. Months for them to come back to finish fixing what was wrong with trailer when i moved in. They only have 3 guys fixing the places. When u have 300 trailers to look at and fix hard to them here when there is anything is emergency.
Apr 08, 2024 · katerie LormandVery quiet compared to some manufactured home communities I have lived in. I've never had an issue with the staff or the office when I've had an issue. They have been patient and helpful. We own our home so I'm not familiar with the maintenance issues some are complaining about. I like it here and we have a great spot at the end of a road, so there is very little traffic.
Mar 08, 2019 · Jim BlackerI hope this reaches everyone inside and outside of the parks of Port of call and Minnesota Lake. If and when you see or have seen inside of them. I hope you all give 1 star too bad they didn't have a 0 star I would definitely choose that. Only for very very very poor maintaining the insides and well the outsides of the trailers too. They are all just falling apart and now causing fires when renters are not home. Windows of the trailers are also broke/falling apart literally. They do not want to spend money on them to fix them up. If their daddy was still here I'm very very sure he would be very very disappointed in them for not maintaining them like their daddy actually did. Instead they are worried about their own problems of their own places to live oh yeah and definitely worried about their paymemts on their like 10 vehicles they own or are trying to pay on to own.Was a very good place to live. But not no more at all. Will have more updates later. Yes I looked at other reviews and the others are right about the kids that recently moved in or have lived there for a while making it bad for the actual good kids that lived here for a while or moved in not long ago. But there is a ton more situations then just that making it bad to live there. I am currently making my list. Everyone else should too so if something ever comes up then you will have everything jotted down for your personal records. Thank You for reading. The outside of the mobile/manufactured park may look ok but unless you walk in one or all you won't believe on how dangerous they really are. Most do not have screens on them. Even in minnesota lake. It gets very very hot in the trailers because you can't open your windows unless you want bugs or spiders or rodents invading your trailer.
