Rainbow Chase RV Resort Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Davenport, Florida area for a relaxing getaway or a longer-term stay? Rainbow Chase RV Resort, located at 6300 Lake Wilson Rd, Davenport, FL 33896, USA, offers a gated community experience with a range of features. You can reach them at (863) 424-2688 or +1 863-424-2688 for inquiries and reservations. Based on the available customer reviews, a balanced perspective of this RV resort can be formed.
One reviewer shares a positive initial experience that led to an extended stay of over two months. They highlight the "great location," the security provided by the gated park, and the spacious and clean RV sites and roads. This reviewer also praises the "great staff" and the laid-back atmosphere, along with the availability of weekly events. For pet owners, a significant feature mentioned is a large pet-free loop within the park, catering to those who prefer not to be near dogs. This positive experience suggests that Rainbow Chase RV Resort offers a welcoming and well-maintained environment for RVers, particularly those who appreciate security and community events.
In contrast, another reviewer provides a more critical perspective, stating that while the park is "nice" and "fairly quiet," it might not fully live up to the designation of a "resort." This review points out potential inconsistencies in pricing, noting that the online website might display one price, while a different price is quoted over the phone, and the final price could increase again upon arrival after an online down payment. This resulted in a monthly rate of $780 for this particular reviewer. Additionally, they mention that propane available at the resort is "expensive," suggesting a significant price difference compared to other sources like Walmart. A notable policy regarding propane is also highlighted: even if a guest has some propane left in their tank, they will allegedly be charged for a completely empty tank upon refill. The reviewer advises potential guests to be prepared for these potential extra costs and pricing discrepancies, as this information might not be volunteered unless specifically asked.
Considering these two reviews, the environment at Rainbow Chase RV Resort appears to be:
- Gated Community: Providing an added sense of security for guests and their belongings.
- Spacious and Clean Sites and Roads: Contributing to a comfortable and well-maintained aesthetic within the park.
- Quiet Atmosphere (generally): While one reviewer found it laid-back with events, the other described it as "fairly quiet," suggesting a potentially peaceful environment.
- Pet-Friendly with Designated Areas: Catering to both dog owners and those who prefer a pet-free environment with a large separate loop.
- Convenient Location: While not explicitly detailed, the positive reviewer's mention of a "great location" suggests good accessibility to surrounding areas and attractions in Davenport, FL.
The services and features mentioned include:
- Staff: Described as "great" and "laid-back" by one reviewer, while the other suggests a need for improvement in friendliness at the office.
- Weekly Events: Offering opportunities for socialization and community engagement among guests.
- Propane Refills: Available on-site, but potentially at a higher cost with a specific policy regarding charging for empty tanks.
- Potentially Long-Term Stays: The first reviewer's two-month stay indicates that longer-term camping is accommodated.
- Online Reservations and Payments: The second reviewer mentions making a down payment online.
Promotional information is somewhat limited but can be inferred from the positive aspects mentioned:
- Secure Gated Community: A key selling point for travelers concerned about safety.
- Spacious and Clean RV Sites: Offering comfort and ease of parking and setup.
- Pet-Friendly with Dedicated Pet-Free Area: Appealing to a broad range of RVers with varying preferences regarding pets.
- Weekly Events: Suggesting a vibrant and engaging community atmosphere.
- Potentially a "Great Location": Implying easy access to local attractions, possibly including the nearby theme parks and other amenities in the Davenport/Orlando area.
However, potential guests should also be aware of the pricing concerns raised in the second review, including:
- Potential Price Discrepancies: Between online quotes, phone quotes, and the final price upon arrival. It is crucial to confirm the total cost before booking and arrival.
- Higher Propane Costs: Guests might find it more economical to purchase propane elsewhere.
- Specific Propane Refill Policy: Being charged for a full tank even if some remains in the existing tank. It is advisable to clarify this policy before opting for a refill at the resort.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," Rainbow Chase RV Resort presents itself as a potentially attractive option with its gated security, spacious sites, and community events. The pet-friendly policy with a dedicated pet-free area is a significant advantage for a diverse range of travelers. However, it is essential to be diligent about pricing and any additional costs, such as propane refills. Prospective guests should directly contact the resort to confirm rates, understand their pricing policies, and inquire about any other potential fees to avoid unexpected expenses.
In conclusion, Rainbow Chase RV Resort in Davenport, FL, offers a secure and seemingly well-maintained environment with a sense of community. Its features like spacious sites and weekly events, along with its pet-friendly approach, are positive aspects. However, potential guests should exercise caution regarding pricing inconsistencies and the propane refill policy, as highlighted by one reviewer. Direct communication with the resort management to clarify these points is strongly recommended to ensure a transparent and satisfactory experience. When comparing with other "RV parks near me," consider your priorities regarding security, community engagement, pet policies, and, importantly, the overall cost and any potential hidden fees.

Rainbow Chase RV Resort Reviews
We started out camping here to checkout the campground. That was over 2 months ago.Great location gated park with spacious clean sites and roads. Great staff laid-back, weekly events. We are dog lovers, they have a large loop that is pet free for non dog lovers. We will return.
Apr 19, 2025 · Danny DietrichA nice, fairly quiet RV park, not a resort. Office staff needs to work on being a little more friendly. The website gives you a price but when you call they'll give you another price and after you give them a down payment on line and you get there they up the price again. We ended up at 780 a month. Propane is expensive. A lot cheaper at Walmart. Even if you have some left in your tank they'll charge you for a completely empty tank. They won't tell you any of this unless you ask. Please be prepared.
Mar 07, 2025 · steve trujilloUnfriendly staff. My mother is touring potential RV campgrounds to see which she’d like. We came by here and kindly asked the office if we could take a quick tour of the campground. The woman in the office rudely declined and handed my mom a flyer to book. We won’t be booking something that we can’t see. With many RV campsites in central Florida, you would think they would choose to be welcoming to potential customers. Don’t waste your time coming here.

Feb 07, 2023 · H AThis is a great RV park. We've been full time RVing for a couple of years and this is definitely one of our favorites. Close to Disney, affordable monthly option, mail delivery and a pool table in the office. Not to mention every single person living here is SO NICE. Definitely recommend this park.
