Sierra Meadows Mobile Estates Introduce
For individuals exploring "RV parks near me" who are considering a long-term residential solution in a manufactured home community, Sierra Meadows Mobile Estates in Citrus Heights, California, offers a distinct living environment. As a mobile home park, it caters to permanent residents in manufactured homes, differing from transient RV campgrounds. Located at 7600 Daly Ave, Citrus Heights, CA 95621, USA, Sierra Meadows Mobile Estates can be contacted for inquiries at (916) 726-1500 or via mobile at +1 916-726-1500.
The category "RV parks near me" can encompass a wide range of residential and recreational parks. Sierra Meadows Mobile Estates falls into the category of a land-lease mobile home park, where residents own their homes (coaches) but lease the land on which their homes are situated. This structure is a key differentiator and a significant factor for prospective residents to understand, as it influences responsibilities for maintenance and financial considerations.
Environment and Location:
Sierra Meadows Mobile Estates is situated in Citrus Heights, California, a suburban city in Sacramento County. Citrus Heights is known for its established neighborhoods, retail centers, and accessibility to various amenities. The park's location on Daly Ave suggests it is within a residential area, likely offering convenience to local services and transportation routes. The perceived environment within the park is subject to conflicting views from residents. One reviewer states, "Yes the park may look good when you drive in," suggesting an effort to maintain curb appeal, especially at the entrance. However, this same reviewer encourages prospective residents to "drive around and look at some of the lots," implying that the overall maintenance of individual vacant lots or areas owned by the park may not be consistently up to standard. Specifically, a concern is raised about a "vacant coach, with weeds knee high in the backyard," creating a "fire hazard." This suggests inconsistencies in grounds maintenance, particularly on park-owned or vacant lots. In contrast, another resident states, "Park is well maintained," indicating a positive perception of overall upkeep. This disparity highlights that the park's environmental quality might be perceived differently depending on an individual's specific location within the park or their priorities. The general suburban setting of Citrus Heights provides residents with access to local parks, shopping centers, and healthcare facilities.
Services and Features:
As a mobile home park, Sierra Meadows Mobile Estates provides the fundamental infrastructure for manufactured homes, including lot spaces with utility hookups. A critical aspect of its service structure, as highlighted by a resident, is that it is a "land lease park." This means residents own their mobile homes, but Sierra Meadows (the park owner) owns the land. This distinction is vital for understanding responsibilities. The park management is stated to be "trying to improve the look of the park" by "plant trees." This suggests an ongoing effort, even if perceived as misdirected by some residents. The park's bylaws are mentioned, stating that "everyone to take care of their lot." This indicates that residents have obligations regarding the maintenance of their individual leased spaces. However, a significant concern is raised regarding the park's adherence to its own responsibilities, particularly concerning vacant lots or common areas it owns. The review mentions "weeds knee high in the backyard" of a vacant coach on park-owned land, and a "mess" left by a tree company hired by the park. This suggests potential shortcomings in maintenance and accountability for park-owned property. Conversely, a positive review explicitly states that "management not only listens, but actively address resident's concerns," and mentions "lots of activities." This indicates that the park does offer community engagement opportunities, such as "bingo, and monthly dinners, and other events," which are common features in mobile home parks aimed at fostering a sense of community. The presence of these activities suggests that the park aims to provide a social environment for its residents. The conflicting reports on management's effectiveness and responsiveness are a crucial point for prospective residents to consider.
Promotional Information and Lifestyle:
Sierra Meadows Mobile Estates markets itself as a long-term residential community for manufactured homes. The positive feedback highlights a well-maintained park (from some perspectives), friendly neighbors, and a variety of activities. The statement "I love living here" from a satisfied resident is a powerful endorsement, especially when coupled with the claim that "Things have only gotten better" with the current management, and that management "actively address resident's concerns." This suggests that for some, the park offers a fulfilling and responsive living experience. For those searching for "RV parks near me" with an intention to settle down in a manufactured home, the presence of community activities and friendly neighbors can be a significant draw. The park's ability to foster a sense of belonging and provide a stable environment for residents is a key promotional aspect. However, it is essential to address the detailed negative feedback as well, which raises serious concerns about management's priorities, accountability, and the perceived lack of maintenance on park-owned land. The reviewer highlights issues like fire hazards from overgrown weeds on vacant lots and messes left by contractors, despite substantial monthly space rent revenues. This suggests a potential disconnect between resident expectations and park management's actions regarding property upkeep and adherence to bylaws. The argument that management prioritizes aesthetic improvements like planting trees over critical maintenance issues (like fire hazards) is a significant point of contention. Prospective residents should understand that while community activities and friendly neighbors may exist, there might be underlying issues regarding park maintenance and management responsiveness to certain concerns. It is highly advisable for interested parties to visit the park, observe the conditions of various lots (both occupied and vacant), inquire directly about maintenance schedules and responsibilities, and ideally speak with multiple current residents to gain a comprehensive and balanced understanding of the living experience at Sierra Meadows Mobile Estates before making a decision. The contact information provided, (916) 726-1500 and +1 916-726-1500, offers avenues for direct communication with the park management for further clarification.

Sierra Meadows Mobile Estates Reviews
I’ve lived here 17 years, we recently got new managers, this is the 3rd manager in 17 years….The current managers, don’t really address anything of importance. They plant trees, trying to improve the look of the park, and while I don’t have a problem with that, they want everyone to take care of their lot, as stated in the bylaws, again no problem with that. This is a land lease park, we own the coaches, Sierra Meadows, owns the land. It’s their responsibility to take care of it, if the owner does not, or is unable to do so.There is a Coach, that is vacant, with weeds knee high in the backyard, its fire season, and yet the management of the park has done nothing about it. How can you enforce bylaws on others, if you can’t hold yourself to accountability.I have an obligation, but they don’t?Yes the park may look good when you drive in, but if you drive around and look at some of the lots, it would cause you to scratch your head and ask the question, why do they allow this. This has been going on for months, and yet, no one in management cares, if they did, they would take care of the fire hazard.I guarantee, if they had to live next to it, it would be taken care of, but because they don’t, they don’t care, it appears that they don’t, they have never spoken to us about the problem, so based on that, I can say they don’t care, but yet they can spend thousands to cut down trees, plant trees, but they can’t clear the land around the Coach, on land that THEY own. There is about 240 coaches in this park, using 700 a month for space rent, that’s roughly $168,000.00 a month in space rent, just over 2 million a year, and they can’t clear the weeds around a vacant coach, again, on land they they own. They need to take care of the weightier issues, and things that really matter like removing trees and messes that were made by a tree company that they hired to cut down trees, instead of leaving the mess by a coach. They are in violation of their own bylaws. But we have to abide?? That’s not how things work.Instead of bingo, and monthly dinners, and other events, why don’t you take care of what needs to be taken care of.Those who think I’m not being honest, pictures don’t lie.
Jun 07, 2024 · Robert CornelisonI chose this park before I bought. Then it changed on-site managers. Things have only gotten better. I love living here. Park is well maintained, neighbors are friendly, lots of activities and management not only listens, but actively address resident's concerns.
Feb 26, 2024 · S MorganI don't live here, but I'm a caregiver, and I have a client who has lived here for many years. So I come here quite often, and have had an opportunity to get to know the place pretty well. It's a senior living manufactured home park, and it's always very clean, quiet, and well-maintained. They have a nice clubhouse and pool, and my client seems to be very happy with her place here. This is the kind of park where I may live myself some day!
Jun 27, 2019 · janet swailsVery nice mobile home park. I gave it 4 stars because the pool is only 3.5 ' deep and, you have to walk your trash to the dumpster. The dumpsters are not close unless you live next to them. The management is great!
Oct 19, 2021 · ANGELA PONENice, quiet, senior mobile home park. Bill the manager is very helpful, and is focused on ensuring his homeowners are satisfied. Looks like a lot of activities in the Community Center. Nice, clean pool, I will be looking forward to using when it gets warmer.
