This introduction will delve into the environment, services, and features of Sunflower RV Resort, highlighting why it's considered a great place to spend time.
The environment of Sunflower RV Resort is characterized by a strong sense of community and an active social scene. One reviewer described it as an "awesome community of seniors!" This immediately sets the tone for a park where interaction and engagement are prevalent. The mention of a "St. Patrick's day parade" within the community illustrates the active and festive spirit among the residents. The observation that "so many active, happy seniors live here" suggests a positive and energetic atmosphere, making it an appealing environment for those looking to socialize and stay engaged during their retirement years. The presence of long-term residents, including a remarkable 98-year-old who still drives her golf cart and enjoys visiting and dancing, further underscores the vibrant and independent lifestyle fostered within the resort.
A central feature of the resort's environment is the "Tiki Bar area," which is described as a hub for "food, drinks, live music and dancing." This amenity serves as a social focal point, offering opportunities for residents and visitors to gather, enjoy entertainment, and socialize in a relaxed setting. Sunflower RV Resort Reviews
This community of seniors is awesome! We visited my son in law's Grammy and participated in the St. Patrick's day parade. So many active, happy seniors live here. Just go check out the Tiki Bar area to find food, drinks, live music and dancing. We were blessed to meet the senior most person who still drives her golf cart and lives to visit and dance. She will celebrate her 99th birthday in May!
Mar 18, 2025 · Jeni DGreat place to spend time. Friendly service and resort owners. Plenty to do. No tipping at resort. Felt odd, but that was the policy. Centrally located to fast food and great sit down meals. We'll be back.
Feb 24, 2025 · Pev VezWe stayed here as part of their Fall Special rate - can't beat the price for a longer stay. We split our stay between Canyon Vista Resort in Gold Canyon and Sunflower in Surprise. As we were only in Sunflower for 2 weeks of the fall special, we were able to stay in one of the "short term" spots in the back, which include a picnic table and are preferable (in our opinion) to the longer term sites within the park. Perhaps because they weren't as full in that area, so it felt more spacious. Park was well maintained and staff was helpful. You do hear the jets from Luke Airforce Base. We were in site 1135 - pull through with full hook-ups. Lots of activities in the park.
Feb 09, 2025 · Susan SchwadererReally nice park. We enjoyed our stay except for the pickleball experience. One of our main reasons for staying at Sunflower was the pickleball courts. They were not friendly at all. Very clickish and we were met on the two occasions by the same lady when we went to play that the courts were reserved and we would not be able to play unless we were invited. We were never invited. We stayed each day for a bout 20 minutes and then left and not one person could have been bothered. Very disappointed and the locals there were not inviting. Suggest maybe a more welcoming atmosphere to help attract more people to your resort. We definitely felt like the outsiders and not worthy.
Feb 03, 2025 · Jeffery MichelWe only stayed a couple nights and were in view of the secondary dog park, not "V". I found that Disney is not The happiest place on Earth" this dog park is! 😂 Nice resort.
