The park is fairly well lit, and the neighborhood is relatively quiet (we don't mind the train). Bathrooms/showers, though outdated, are temperature controlled and have been mostly clean. About half the laundry machines are functional (at $4 load), and the ice machine is a nice perk.RV spaces aren't really level, and the roads are a mess, but maintenance at least seems to be present on site daily. We love the staff in the office after 3 pm, but the dayshift desk lady has never been very personable to put it kindly, so we avoid the office altogether for help at all with anything in the morning hours. We considered that all utilities were included here in the monthly rate when searching for a new long-term space in our budget but were a little upset to discover their "month" every month is only 28 days. Also, the park failed to mention at check-in that they had shut off ALL provided 110 outlets for RV guests. In what is sometimes a 120+ degree Arizona summer, and especially in a park with NO shade we really count on our extra a/c to give our roof unit a break and for the high price of living here being unable to use it has been pretty miserable. The pool keeps us from dying, but recently, the chemicals have been so strong that we have all noticed new and significant hair loss. If it wasn't for trying to survive this heat, we wouldn't even be getting in it anymore. Something definitely needs adjusted there! We also considered into the cost that there was supposed to be included wifi, yet the provided internet has been unable to connect at all for us, so we were forced to buy our own service anyway. They don't care if you have kids or are 55+ here, which is rare for the area so they can get away with charging struggling families well over 1K a "month" for a parking spot. - Dana Apolinar

Valley of the Sun RV park Introduce

If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in Peoria, Arizona, Valley of the Sun RV Park, located at 8955 W Grand Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345, USA, is a facility that warrants careful consideration based on recent customer reviews available online. They can be contacted at (623) 334-1977 or +1 623-334-1977 for inquiries.

Several aspects of Valley of the Sun RV Park receive mixed feedback from recent visitors. On the positive side, the park is noted for being "fairly well lit," which contributes to a sense of security during nighttime. The surrounding neighborhood is also described as "relatively quiet," although one reviewer mentions the presence of a train, which they personally did not mind. The park offers bathrooms and showers that, while "outdated," are reportedly temperature controlled and "mostly clean." Laundry facilities are available, though approximately half of the machines are functional at a cost of $4 per load. An ice machine is also mentioned as a "nice perk" for guests.

However, several significant drawbacks are also highlighted in the reviews. One recurring issue is the condition of the RV spaces, which are described as "not really level." Additionally, the park roads are characterized as "a mess." While maintenance staff is reported to be present on-site daily, the state of the roads and parking spaces may be a concern for RV owners seeking level and well-maintained grounds.

The quality of customer service appears to vary depending on the time of day. Reviewers express a strong preference for the office staff after 3 pm, whom they "love." In contrast, the dayshift desk staff member is described as "never been very personable," leading some guests to "avoid the office altogether for help at all with anything in the morning hours." This inconsistency in staff demeanor could impact the overall experience for guests needing assistance during different times of the day.

A significant point of contention for long-term stays involves the park's billing practices for monthly rates. While the inclusion of all utilities in the monthly rate was a deciding factor for some when choosing Valley of the Sun RV Park, they were "a little upset to discover their 'month' every month is only 28 days." This discrepancy between a standard calendar month and the park's billing cycle could lead to unexpected additional costs for long-term residents.

Another critical issue raised by a reviewer concerns the park's failure to disclose a significant limitation upon check-in. Guests were reportedly not informed that "ALL provided 110 outlets for RV guests" had been shut off. In the context of the Arizona summer, where temperatures can exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit and the park offers "NO shade," the inability to use extra air conditioning units to supplement roof units has been described as "pretty miserable," especially given the "high price of living here." This lack of transparency and the impact on comfort during extreme weather are serious concerns for potential guests.

The park does have a pool, which is acknowledged as essential for surviving the heat. However, recent concerns have been raised about the pool's chemical balance, with multiple guests noticing "new and significant hair loss" after using it. While the pool is seen as a necessity during hot weather, these reports about the chemical levels may deter some visitors from using it.

Furthermore, the availability and reliability of included Wi-Fi were also misrepresented, according to one reviewer. Despite the expectation of included Wi-Fi factored into their cost considerations, the provided internet has been "unable to connect at all," forcing guests to purchase their own internet service. This adds an unexpected expense for those relying on internet access.

Valley of the Sun RV Park reportedly does not adhere to age restrictions, which is described as "rare for the area." While this might be appealing to families with children, one reviewer suggests that it allows the park to charge "struggling families well over 1K a 'month' for a parking spot," implying that the pricing may not be competitive for the amenities and services offered.

Another reviewer summarizes their experience by stating that the "bathrooms are not the greatest" and that the park is "a bit pricey for what you get." They also reiterate the presence of a "loud train" and note that the RV parking areas consist of "corroded gravel." While acknowledging that they have seen worse parks, they ultimately describe Valley of the Sun RV Park as an "ehh park."

Based on these recent reviews, Valley of the Sun RV Park offers some basic amenities such as temperature-controlled (though outdated) bathrooms/showers, and laundry facilities with limited functionality. The park is also well-lit and located in a relatively quiet neighborhood (aside from train noise). However, significant drawbacks include uneven RV spaces, poorly maintained roads, inconsistent customer service, a non-standard 28-day "month" for billing, the отключение of 110 outlets without prior notice, potential issues with pool chemicals, unreliable included Wi-Fi, and a perception of being overpriced for the overall quality.

There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Therefore, individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in Peoria, Arizona, should weigh these reported pros and cons carefully. It is strongly recommended to contact Valley of the Sun RV Park directly using the provided phone number to inquire about current rates, site availability, policies regarding utilities and billing, the status of the 110 outlets, pool maintenance, Wi-Fi availability, and any other concerns raised in the online reviews. A personal visit to assess the condition of the RV spaces, roads, and other facilities might also be beneficial before making a decision.

In conclusion, Valley of the Sun RV Park in Peoria, Arizona, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer experiences. While it offers some basic necessities and a relatively quiet location, potential guests should be aware of reported issues concerning site levelness, road conditions, inconsistent staff, billing practices, отключенные utilities, pool chemical concerns, unreliable Wi-Fi, and the overall value for the price. Thoroughly investigating these aspects directly with the park management is crucial for anyone considering a stay at this RV park.
