Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve Introduce
For local RV enthusiasts and those passing through the Atlanta area searching for "rv parks near me," Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve, located at 2558 Wren Cir, Austell, GA 30168, USA, presents a practical option. While currently undergoing a transformation from a former trailer park to a dedicated RV park, Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve offers essential amenities and a convenient location, particularly for travelers needing a stopover or those visiting the Atlanta region.
The environment of Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve is in a transitional phase. As it evolves from a trailer park to an RV park, the landscape may reflect this ongoing development. However, one positive aspect highlighted by a visitor is the presence of "level spots," which are crucial for ensuring the stability and functionality of RVs. This suggests that while the overall aesthetic might be in progress, the fundamental requirements for parking and setting up your RV are being addressed. The park's location in Austell provides relatively easy access to Atlanta and surrounding areas, making it a potentially convenient base for exploring the city or visiting family and friends nearby.
In terms of services, Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve offers "full hook-up" at what has been described as a "very reasonable price." Full hook-ups typically include connections for electricity, water, and sewer, which are essential for comfortable RV living, especially for longer stays. The availability of these services at a competitive price point makes this RV park an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers. Additionally, the presence of a "nice laundry room" is a significant amenity for those on the road, allowing for convenient upkeep of clothing and linens without having to leave the park. This practical feature adds to the overall convenience for both short-term and potentially longer-term guests.
One of the key features of Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve, as noted by a reviewer, is its suitability as a "great place to stop in Atlanta if you're driving through in an RV." This underscores its strategic location for transient travelers. Furthermore, the park accommodates those visiting the Atlanta area, as evidenced by a guest who stayed there while visiting their son. The park's understanding and polite response to a guest's RV mechanical issue further highlight the positive and accommodating nature of the staff. Their willingness to assist in a stressful situation reflects a commitment to customer service. It's also worth noting that while a "majority of RVs/trailers are full time" residents, the park does offer "temporary/pass thru sites," ensuring availability for short-term visitors.
The sense of community and safety appears to be another positive feature. The reviewer mentioned that "folks there are nice, respectful, & we felt safe there." This is an important aspect for any traveler, as feeling secure and being surrounded by a respectful community can significantly enhance the overall experience of staying at an RV park. This positive social environment adds to the appeal of Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve, particularly for those who value a welcoming atmosphere.
However, it is crucial to address a significant concern raised by a visitor: the "crazy loud and frequent" trains. The noise was reportedly so disruptive that the guest and their family "could not sleep despite ear plugs and fans and decided to leave a day early." The provided information about the MARTA train schedule in Austell indicates frequent train service throughout the day and night, with intervals ranging from 12 to 20 minutes depending on the time. While this schedule specifically mentions MARTA, the reviewer's experience suggests that other train traffic in the area may also contribute to the noise issue. Therefore, individuals sensitive to noise should seriously consider this factor before booking a stay at Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve. The reviewer explicitly advises, "if you are sensitive to noise I would not."
Currently, specific promotional information for Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve is not included in the provided text. However, the mention of "full hook-up at a very reasonable price" can be considered an inherent value proposition. For local users and those traveling through, the combination of essential amenities and affordability can be a significant draw. To inquire about any current specials, discounts for longer stays, or other promotional offers, it is advisable to contact Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve directly at (770) 743-4378 or +1 770-743-4378.
In conclusion, Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve offers a practical and budget-friendly option for those seeking "rv parks near me" in the Atlanta area, particularly for travelers needing a convenient stopover or visiting the city. The availability of full hook-ups, a laundry room, and the reported friendly and helpful staff are definite advantages. The park's ongoing transition to a dedicated RV park suggests potential for future improvements. However, the significant issue of frequent and loud train noise is a critical consideration for potential guests, especially those sensitive to sound. While the price and convenience are appealing, the noise factor may outweigh these benefits for some. It is recommended to weigh these aspects carefully and perhaps inquire further about the proximity and frequency of trains when booking a stay at Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve.

Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve Reviews
Great place to stop in Atlanta if you're driving through in an RV. We've stopped here in the past to visit out son who lives in the Atlanta area and this time in June 2024 we had an RV mechanical issue that required our RV to be towed from the park to a nearby area repair shop. The staff were very understanding and polite regarding our situation. The park used to be a trailer park and they are converting it into a RV park. Majority of RVs/trailers are full time there, but they have temporary/pass thru sites & offer full hook-up at a very reasonable price. Folks there are nice, respectful, & we felt safe there. Will definitely keep this on our list of parks for the Atlanta area as there are very few in and around Atlanta.

Oct 15, 2024 · Kim NelsonWe booked here because we were looking for a place to stay that was close to the Georgia Convention Center - and this place was perfect. Upon arrival, on Saturday, we called the number posted in the office and they immediately answered. They accommodated our request to pick a different spot and were very kind and hospitable. We had a great stay, no one bothered us, everyone kept to themselves. Facilities and grounds were clean. Staff was extremely pleasant. They tell you straight up that this is a very basic campground, and it is. There is nothing other than a laundry facility and bathrooms on site, but across the street is a playground for kids. I have 4 children and they rode their bikes and scooters around the campground without issue, then rode their bikes to the park across the street, without issues. Overall, it was a great experience in a convenient location, which is what we needed. Thank you to Sweetwater.
Aug 03, 2024 · Jacqueline SpenceI've been here a year now. The staff are all very friendly, have good communication with the occupants, and take good care of the grounds. Prices are comparable to other parks in the area. This location is close enough to get anywhere you want in under 20 minutes, but seculded enough to remain peaceful all hours of the day and night. Neighbors are polite and keep to themselves. There's a decent sized park across the street for exercise or dog walking, and it is walking distance from a few gas stations, restaurants, and a dollar general if you don't have a car to drive
Jun 27, 2024 · Clinton KnappThis place is more like a RV storage lot with people living in it than it is a RV Reserve. They damaged our RV by mowing their gravel lot with a mower with no guard on it. you could hear the mower hitting all the rigs and cars with rocks. I'll attach a picture of the damage done to our rig. It wasn't even worth bringing up to the management while there. You can tell by his responses to other reviews that he's not a professional and is definitely the person running this place into the ground. We never saw 1 person working in the office. Be prepared to show proof of insurance apon arrival. Which they don't tell you until you arrive and via text message. Be prepared to have the front door of your rig about 3 feet away from your neighbors back side. We had 20' of sewer line and had to go buy another 10' piece because of how far the sewer inlet is. Just do yourself a favor and stay somewhere nicer. The abandoned campground up the road with all the homeless people living in it looks like a better option. Have a great do Jonathan ;)
