The New RV Park Introduce
For local users searching for "rv parks near me" in the Elberton, Georgia area, The New RV Park, located at 2503 Sanders Rd, Elberton, GA 30635, USA, presents itself as a potentially quiet and affordable option. They can be contacted at (706) 768-1561 or +1 706-768-1561 for inquiries. Based on customer reviews, the park has generally been described as a nice and quiet place, with friendly and accommodating owners and managers. It appears to cater to both transient travelers looking for a short stopover and potentially long-term residents. However, it is crucial to consider all feedback, including a significant negative report concerning electrical issues, when evaluating this RV park.
Several reviewers have highlighted the peaceful environment of The New RV Park, describing it as a "nice and quiet Park." This suggests that it could be a suitable option for those seeking a more tranquil camping experience away from busier or more crowded RV parks. The grounds are also mentioned as being "nice and well maintained," indicating that the management takes some care in the upkeep of the property. This can contribute to a more pleasant and aesthetically pleasing stay for visitors. The presence of permanent residents who are described as "extremely friendly and hospitable" could also foster a welcoming and community-oriented atmosphere within the park.
In terms of services and features, The New RV Park offers "full hookup sites," which is a significant advantage for RV travelers. These sites reportedly provide "good water flow and steady power," along with sewer connections, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay without issues related to basic utilities. For those needing to take care of laundry, the park has a "laundry house on site," adding to the convenience of longer stays or for travelers on the road. The park also appears to be accommodating to short-term stays, as one reviewer who stopped for a night en route north mentioned that the owner was "happy to have us stay." Furthermore, the park demonstrated helpfulness by lending a 50 amp to 30 amp adapter to a guest in need.
Affordability is another frequently mentioned positive aspect of The New RV Park. One reviewer specifically noted that it was "very affordable," which could be a significant factor for budget-conscious travelers or those looking for a more economical option in the area. The combination of a quiet environment, full hookups, and affordability could make The New RV Park an attractive choice for certain RVers.
However, it is imperative to address a serious negative review detailing a significant electrical problem. According to this review, a camper experienced a heater malfunction shortly after arrival, followed by a light sparking and a heat source catching fire. Subsequent investigation by an external electrician reportedly revealed that the park's electrical system was "messed up n pushing 240 in camper," causing $1000 worth of damage. The reviewer further alleges that the owner was aware of the issue but did not return calls to discuss the damages. This is a serious accusation that raises significant concerns about the safety and maintenance of the park's electrical infrastructure. Potential visitors should be aware of this report and consider inquiring about the current status and safety of the electrical systems before booking a stay.
While the majority of the reviews mention positive aspects such as the quiet atmosphere, friendly management, and full hookups, this single negative report regarding a potentially dangerous electrical issue cannot be ignored. It is essential for the park management to address such concerns promptly and transparently to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests. For local users considering The New RV Park based on the positive feedback regarding its quietness and affordability, it would be prudent to seek assurances about the integrity of the electrical systems and any steps taken to rectify past issues.
Given the conflicting feedback, a balanced perspective is necessary. The New RV Park appears to offer a quiet and budget-friendly option with essential amenities like full hookups and laundry facilities. The owners and managers have generally been described as friendly and accommodating. However, the serious allegation of a faulty electrical system causing significant damage is a major red flag that potential visitors must consider. It is recommended to contact the park directly to inquire about the current condition of their electrical infrastructure and any safety measures in place.
Without any specific promotional information available in the provided reviews, the park's primary appeal seems to be its affordability, quiet environment, and the friendly demeanor of the owners/managers. For local users prioritizing these aspects and seeking "rv parks near me" in Elberton, GA, The New RV Park might still be a viable option, provided that the concerns raised about the electrical system have been adequately addressed and resolved by the management. It would be wise to request confirmation of the safety and reliability of the utilities before making a reservation.
In conclusion, The New RV Park near Elberton, Georgia, has been described as a nice, quiet, and affordable option with friendly management and full hookup sites. The presence of a laundry facility adds to its convenience. However, a significant negative review detailing a serious electrical issue that allegedly caused damage to a camper and a lack of response from the owner raises serious concerns. Potential guests should weigh the positive feedback against this negative report and consider contacting the park directly to inquire about the current status and safety of their electrical systems before making a decision about staying at The New RV Park.

The New RV Park Reviews
Nice and quiet Park, owner and manager were both very nice and accommodating, and very affordable. We stopped in for a night en route north, and the owner was happy to have us stay. They were all so friendly and welcoming. They even had a 50 amp to 30 amp adapter for us to borrow. The grounds are nice and well maintained, but there are a fair amount of ant piles around. They have a laundry house on site. Full hookup sites offered good water flow and steady power. No complaints at all with the power/water/sewer.The permanent residents are all extremely friendly and hospitable. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet RV park, and we would definitely stay again if we were looking to stay in the area.
Oct 04, 2024 · Drew SidlesI moved my camper in on a Friday. Had a hard time getting my heater to run right. It ran for about 10 hours n shot off at 5 in the morning. Now keep in mind it was in the 30s. Left and came back in afternoon. My light sparked at me n a heat caught fire in 5 seconds.. I had to pay a man from Anderson to come and fix it at 11 at night. Costed me 1000 $ to fix when we found out that there electrical was messed up n pushing 240 in camper. Owner will not call back to discuss damages to my camper since they even knew about it. I would not recommend it to anyone
Dec 29, 2024 · Calvin TaylorI've been here two months, I love it. There's a garden that you can help with and then take a few fruits and veggies home to enjoy. We can have dogs it's very peaceful and serene I'm happy being here.
Aug 14, 2024 · Charles GRIMESI'd like to start with I'm posting on my anonymous account because I still stay here but the first review is very relevant to the maintenance mans attitude and demeanor. I had a friend who stayed there for 5+ years who I helped plant a whole litany of vegetables for everyone to enjoy, just to watch it all be destroyed by the drunk they have fixing stuff around here. I'm very disappointed in the direction that this RV park is heading. I don't feel safe leaving my RV or my car unlocked, heck I barley feel safe letting my kids play outside with these people around.
Aug 09, 2024 · Dick LongIt was peaceful until the new owner came, but he brought a lot of drama with him. The maintenance man he hired has snuck into our RV multiple times and stolen a number of things (got him on camera). Not only that, but he's a violent drunk and has threatened several people here, including my family. The lady who collects rent for the owner lives in the park with the maintenance man and have been causing issues for everyone. We've stayed here for almost a full year without any problems but as soon the owner hired her, people were leaving left and right. She would brag about how the owner would let her do whatever she wanted at the park, and kick out whomever she wanted. Right now she's chosen us even though we have begged her, literally begged her, to leave us be. We have never been late on rent and have had no issues with anyone here other than the owner and the workers. The owners reason for suddenly kicking us out has yet to be told to us. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!
