Why is this campground not bookable starting sometime in May?? Website says nothing available. Talked to local park staff & they just said they can't access the system. Called TT, & they say they aren't taking reservations & they don't know why not.Stayed end of April '25 (and many times previously). Pool/spa closed for at least two years now with little forward progress. Bathrooms are in disrepair, some closed down. Laundry machines range from hit or miss. 2 washers/dryers at each of the 3 bathrooms.Went in to laundry & heard loud banging coming from women's room. A short time later a paper thin druggy girl comes out, with her head down. One minute later a guy scurries out of the same women's bathroom. Both went to different RVs then, so the neighbors are friendly;-/Space size here ranges from super tight to acceptable. Some mature trees for shade in some areas. Surrounding area is definitely sketchy. On previous visits, we have experienced complete power loss only happening at TT's, when it's 110 degrees. We also have had multiple stays where they shut the water off, & then when it comes back on, they issue a boil water order for a few days. Come with some water in the tank if possible. If not, fill up when you get there in case it goes out. This park needs a lot of love from the owners pocket book. Most employees here are awesome and are just forced to deal with the cards they are dealt. If your a member, come here if you must. If you aren't a member, I recommend staying somewhere else. Oasis RV resort is safest bet if paying $, but spaces there are still rather small & virtually no shade. - Gonzo Kat

Thousand Trails Las Vegas Introduce

For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the bustling Las Vegas area, Thousand Trails Las Vegas, situated at 4295 Boulder Hwy, Las Vegas, NV 89121, USA, presents itself as an option. You can reach them by phone at (702) 451-2719 or their mobile number, +1 702-451-2719. As part of the Thousand Trails network, this RV park caters to both members and potentially non-members seeking accommodation for their recreational vehicles. However, recent feedback from visitors paints a somewhat complex picture of the current state of the park, which should be carefully considered by those looking for "RV parks near me."

One of the immediate concerns highlighted in recent reviews pertains to the availability of reservations. As of late April/early May 2025, multiple reports indicate difficulties in booking stays at Thousand Trails Las Vegas. One potential guest noted that the website showed no availability and that local park staff claimed they could not access the reservation system. Furthermore, contacting Thousand Trails directly reportedly yielded no clear explanation or resolution regarding the inability to make reservations. This lack of booking availability is a significant issue for anyone planning a stay and suggests potential systemic problems or ongoing operational challenges at the park.

Beyond reservation issues, the condition of the park's amenities appears to be a significant area of concern for recent visitors. Multiple reviews mention the pool and spa being closed for an extended period, reportedly at least two years, with little visible progress towards their reopening. This prolonged closure detracts from the overall recreational offerings of the park. Additionally, the bathroom facilities are described as being in disrepair, with some even closed down. The laundry facilities also received mixed reviews, with machines described as "hit or miss," and only two washers and dryers available at each of the three bathroom locations, potentially leading to inconvenience and wait times.

Safety and security within the park are also areas of concern raised by a recent guest. An incident involving suspicious activity in the women's restroom was reported, which raises questions about the supervision and safety protocols within the communal facilities. While this appears to be an isolated incident reported in the provided reviews, it nonetheless warrants consideration for potential visitors.

The physical layout of the RV spaces at Thousand Trails Las Vegas is described as variable. Guests can expect space sizes ranging from "super tight" to "acceptable." This lack of consistent space size could be a challenge, particularly for those with larger RV rigs. While some areas of the park benefit from mature trees providing shade, this is not consistent throughout the entire campground. The surrounding area is also described as "definitely sketchy," which might be a concern for visitors unfamiliar with the location and could influence their overall sense of security outside the park premises.

Reliability of essential utilities, such as power and water, has also been questioned based on past experiences shared by a returning visitor. There were mentions of complete power loss occurring specifically at the Thousand Trails location during high temperatures. Additionally, the park has reportedly experienced multiple instances of water shut-offs, followed by mandatory boil water orders lasting for several days after the water service is restored. This suggests potential infrastructure issues that could impact the comfort and convenience of guests, prompting a recommendation to arrive with some water in the RV tank or to fill up upon arrival as a precaution.

One reviewer aptly summarized the situation by stating that "This park needs a lot of love from the owners pocket book," indicating a perceived lack of investment in maintaining and upgrading the facilities. Despite these challenges, the same reviewer commended the majority of the employees as "awesome" and acknowledged that they are likely "forced to deal with the cards they are dealt," suggesting that the staff is trying their best under difficult circumstances.

Based on the prevailing sentiment in the reviews, there is a clear distinction in recommendation based on membership status. One reviewer explicitly advised that "If your a member, come here if you must. If you aren't a member, I recommend staying somewhere else." This suggests that the value proposition for non-members might not align with the current condition and potential drawbacks of the park. As an alternative for those willing to pay more, Oasis RV resort was mentioned as a potentially safer option, although it was noted to have similarly small spaces and limited shade.

While one brief review simply stated "Great park," the subsequent comments from the same individual highlighted significant limitations for larger RVs, specifically mentioning the tight spaces and a desire for more pull-through sites. The ongoing issue with the pool not being finished from the previous year further reinforces the concerns about timely maintenance and amenity availability.

In conclusion, Thousand Trails Las Vegas, while conveniently located on Boulder Highway, appears to be facing several significant challenges based on recent customer feedback. These include potential difficulties with making reservations, the prolonged closure and disrepair of key amenities like the pool/spa and bathrooms, concerns about safety and security, variable and often tight RV space sizes, potential issues with power and water reliability, and a perceived need for investment in the park's infrastructure. While some positive aspects, such as the commendable staff, were noted, the overwhelming sentiment suggests that non-members might find better value and a more reliable experience at alternative RV parks in the Las Vegas area. Members may choose to stay due to the nature of their membership but should be prepared for the current conditions. Potential visitors should carefully weigh these factors and consider contacting the park directly to inquire about the current status of reservations, amenities, and any ongoing improvements before making a decision.
