Up the Creek RV Camp Reviews
First time going on a camping trip with a travel trailer, 2 adults, 1 teenager, and 4 dogs. We believe there would have been no better option than Up The Creek. Easy access, Easy hookups, nice patio. They give you all of the information in a folder at the entrance and the best part of it all is the PEACE AND QUIET and the beautiful spacious areas by the creeks. We were able to walk the dogs without bothering anyone and they even enjoyed taking a wade in the creek and drinking the fresh water. We are already planning our next trip here.
Apr 22, 2025 · Jerod StoverWe’ve been traveling full time since Sept and this is the nicest place we’ve stayed. No frills, which we are fine with. The creek behind us is calming. Plenty of room between sites. The grounds are very well maintained. You can tell they take great pride in the place. It’s a great place if you want to escape the chaos of Pigeon Forge.
Apr 03, 2025 · Lu KarrDefinitely will be back! This is a well kept campground with spacious full hook-up sites. A short drive gets you right into pigeon forge. The only thing we were disappointed with was the trolley was not running to the campground but that was due to staffing of drivers and is of no fault to the campground, just something to keep in mind.
May 04, 2025 · Brandon FThe perfect camping experience for us . May 03, 2025 · Hannah Godsey-LlewellynTwo couples, stayed in Sites 49 & 50 for one week. Very nice campground just outside of Pigeon Forge proper.PROSVery nice staff - enjoyeded talking to Chris several times; met Harry and talked to him briefly.Very nice sites - good spacing, some privacy, very clean & tidy, well maintained.Water pressure was adequate and no unpleasant taste.Electric was metered through our 30A EMS; no errors were detected during our weeklong stay.Nice concrete spring next to each site.Fire ring at each site.Easy access to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Wears Valley, Cades Cove, tourist activities, etc.Small fenced dog play area. The 'Deluxe Sites' hadCONSNone to speak of.+/-No playground for kids.No bathhouse. There were a LOT of dogs. I'm a dog lover, but not find of dogs that yap & bark in campground.Be aware of Poison Ivy around some of the trees. If you are looking for firewood:Whaley's Country Store on Walden Creek Road (very close, you pass them coming in) had an OK price for typical small camping bundles. There is a rough looking kiosk/shack on the right side of the road, just past the 'Antique Mall' on Wears Valley Road - we bought wood there and it was quite a bit of dry-tied/punky junk. Don't recommend.Apparently, if you come out of the campground and take a right on Little Valley Road, there is some just up that road who sells good wood.
