Valley View Mobile Home Park Introduce
While the platform category is "RV parks near me," it's important to introduce Valley View Mobile Home Park as a manufactured home community located at 200 Emils Way, Roseburg, OR 97471, USA. They can be reached at (541) 476-6502 or +1 541-476-6502. Although categorized under a platform that might typically list short-term RV accommodations, Valley View Mobile Home Park offers long-term residency in mobile homes. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" who might be considering extended stays or are interested in understanding the broader landscape of residential parks in the vicinity, information about Valley View Mobile Home Park can provide valuable context regarding the types of communities available for longer-term living.
Based on the available customer reviews, Valley View Mobile Home Park presents a mixed picture, highlighting both positive aspects of the community and significant challenges related to infrastructure and pet management. One long-term former resident, who lived there approximately 16 years ago, fondly recalled the friendly neighbors and a positive sense of community, mentioning specific individuals and a kind gesture they received. This review, while dated, suggests that Valley View Mobile Home Park has historically fostered neighborly connections and a welcoming environment for its residents.
However, a more recent review paints a different picture, raising several concerns that potential residents should carefully consider. This reviewer noted that the park is "Always changing owners," which could lead to instability in management and policies, potentially impacting the residents' quality of life and the upkeep of the park over time. Frequent changes in ownership can create uncertainty and a lack of consistent long-term planning for the community.
A significant issue highlighted in the recent review is the prevalence of cats within the park. The reviewer stated, "cat’s everywhere and your yard will end up smelling like a litter box." This suggests a potential problem with unmanaged cat populations, possibly including stray cats and residents who may be hoarding them. The resulting odor in yards could be a considerable nuisance for residents and impact the overall environment of the park. The reviewer explicitly mentioned "Lots of cat horders and stay cats," indicating that this is a noticeable and ongoing problem.
Another major concern raised is related to the water infrastructure within Valley View Mobile Home Park. The reviewer reported "major water issues," elaborating that "If my neighbors use water then my water pressure will drop to almost nothing, so water pressure is constantly up and down." This indicates a significant problem with the water supply system's capacity or design, leading to inconsistent and unreliable water pressure for residents. Such fluctuations can be highly inconvenient and disruptive to daily life.
Furthermore, the water issues extend beyond pressure problems, with the reviewer stating, "Water leaks cause water to constantly be running right down the road and it’s been like that for years." This suggests a long-standing problem with the park's plumbing infrastructure that has not been adequately addressed. Constant water leaks are not only wasteful but can also indicate more serious underlying issues that could potentially affect the water supply and utility costs for residents.
Despite these significant challenges, the recent reviewer did note a positive aspect, stating, "It’s mostly a quiet place and really not a lot of crime." This suggests that while there are issues with pets and water, the park generally offers a peaceful and safe environment in terms of noise levels and security. This could be an important factor for individuals prioritizing a quiet and low-crime residential setting.
The reviewer concluded by reiterating their primary concerns: "Cats and water are my only real issue," emphasizing the significant impact these problems have on their living experience at Valley View Mobile Home Park.
Given the stark contrast between the dated positive recollection of community and the recent detailed concerns about infrastructure and pet management, potential residents need to carefully weigh these factors. The historical sense of community might still exist to some extent, as suggested by the friendly interactions recalled by the former resident. However, the persistent and significant issues with water pressure, leaks, and the unmanaged cat population, as reported by a current resident, present considerable drawbacks.
Due to the nature of the provided reviews, there is no information available regarding the specific services and features typically found in mobile home parks. These might include utility hookups (water, sewer, electricity), waste management, on-site management, and potentially communal areas or facilities. Similarly, there is no promotional information provided. To obtain details about the amenities, services, lot rental fees, and any current promotions at Valley View Mobile Home Park, interested individuals would need to contact the park management directly.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" who are considering long-term residential options, Valley View Mobile Home Park presents a complex scenario. While the park may offer a quiet environment and has historically fostered a sense of community, the reported ongoing issues with water infrastructure and the management of cats are significant concerns that could severely impact the quality of life for residents. Potential residents should thoroughly investigate these issues, perhaps by visiting the park, speaking with current residents (if possible), and directly addressing these concerns with the park management before making any decisions.
In conclusion, Valley View Mobile Home Park in Roseburg, OR, appears to be a community with a history of friendly residents and a quiet atmosphere. However, current reports highlight significant and persistent problems with water pressure, leaks, and a large, unmanaged cat population that could lead to unsanitary conditions. The frequent changes in ownership also raise concerns about the long-term stability and management of the park. While the park may offer affordability and a generally quiet environment, the reported infrastructure and pet-related issues are serious drawbacks that potential residents must carefully consider and investigate before choosing to reside at Valley View Mobile Home Park.
