Rising River RV Resort & River House caters to a diverse range of accommodation needs. While it offers the typical overnight camping experience expected from an RV park, it also provides a valuable option that might not be widely known: monthly RV site rentals. This is particularly attractive for individuals or couples who are traveling full-time in their RV or those seeking a temporary or semi-permanent residence in the Roseburg area. The availability of monthly rentals distinguishes Rising River RV Resort & River House from many other "RV parks near me" that primarily focus on short-term stays.
In addition to RV sites, the resort also features a "River House" that is available for rent, suggesting an alternative accommodation option for visitors who may not have an RV or who desire a more traditional housing experience for a period. This versatility further broadens the appeal of Rising River RV Resort & River House to a wider range of potential guests.
Contacting the resort is easy via phone at (541) 679-7256 or their mobile number, +1 541-679-7256. Customer reviews consistently highlight the positive aspects of Rising River RV Resort & River House. One long-term resident, living in a 30-amp RV full-time at the resort, praises the availability of monthly rentals, indicating its suitability for extended stays. This reviewer also emphasizes the exceptional cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers, which is a crucial factor for the comfort and satisfaction of any RV park guest. The resort further offers a laundry room, a significant convenience for both short-term and long-term visitors, allowing them to manage their laundry needs on-site.
For long-term customers, Rising River RV Resort & River House provides an additional unique amenity: a guest house. This suggests a thoughtful consideration for those who have made the resort their temporary home, offering a space where they can host visitors comfortably. The mention of a pool table ("Anybody like to shoot pool?") hints at social or recreational facilities available for guests to enjoy, fostering a sense of community and providing opportunities for leisure and interaction.
The resort's location directly on the South Umpqua River is another major draw. The river is described as "beautiful and relaxing," promising a tranquil and scenic backdrop for guests. Whether enjoying the views from their RV site, taking a stroll along the riverbank, or perhaps even engaging in water-related activities (though not explicitly mentioned), the riverside setting undoubtedly enhances the overall experience and provides a sense of natural escape.
Security is also a noted feature, with one reviewer mentioning that the resort is "gated at night and felt safe." This provides peace of mind for guests, knowing that measures are in place to ensure a secure environment during the night hours. Highly recommended!" Positive interactions with staff can significantly elevate a guest's stay, making them feel welcome and well-cared for. This personal touch contributes to the overall positive reputation of the resort.
In terms of the RV sites themselves, one reviewer mentioned getting a "nice little spot right on the river," indicating that some sites offer premium waterfront access. While the amperage of the electrical hookups (30 amp mentioned by a long-term resident) might be a consideration for some RVs with higher power demands, it is essential to inquire about the availability of different amperage options when booking.
While the reviews provide extensive positive feedback, it's important to note that one reviewer explicitly states, "No hotel here!! Just camping and a place to call home for now!!" This serves as a clear indication that Rising River RV Resort & River House primarily caters to RVers and those seeking longer-term mobile home or RV living, with the River House being an additional accommodation option, rather than a traditional hotel.

Dec 05, 2024 · Ellen SnyderWe got a nice little spot right on the river. It’s gated at night and felt safe. The staff are friendly a helpful. Highly recommended!
Mar 31, 2025 · Nate SchultzeManagement is great. Park is clean and maintained. Good size spots the only thing was in my spot 25 traffic was a little loud. Clean bathrooms.
Mar 05, 2025 · David SherwoodWe stayed for a few days on a long trek home. The staff were very friendly and the park seems quite nice. It was blistering hot so we appreciated that there are trees. Our pull through site was gravel/dirt, pretty level and we could easily access all utilities. There is a picnic bench for all sites. The central restrooms were clean (though a bit warm); we did not use the laundry. The dog park was usually active and it seemed that owners were good about picking up. There is a trail down to the river and people were swimming in it. The park is convenient to restaurants & shopping.
Jul 10, 2024 · VM HoffersDespite the heat, we had an excellent stay here. A special note to those who plan on showing up after hours. The management has a bulletin board outside their office door where they hang your reserved lot information. I wasn't aware of it til the following morning when I went to check in. It has your pass codes to the gate, showers, bathrooms, and for the wifi. Management was super friendly and helpful. She even gave my boys free Popsicles and suckers. So kind of her.The property is well kept, and the spacing works out just right for pulling in and parking campers. There trails to the river where we kayaked and fished. We caught lots of small mouth bass, bluegill, and pumpkin seeds. We even took advantage of the nearby Dutch Bros coffee shop. Yum!
