River Bend RV Park Introduce
Looking for "RV parks near me" in the Winston, Oregon area that offer a picturesque riverside setting and a welcoming atmosphere? Consider River Bend RV Park, located at 31 Thompson Ave, Winston, OR 97496, USA. This park boasts a beautiful location directly on the river and offers a range of amenities, though some aspects of the check-in process and payment options are worth noting based on recent customer experiences.
The environment at River Bend RV Park is frequently praised for its natural beauty. Situated right on the river, the park offers scenic views and the soothing sounds of flowing water. One reviewer described it as "beautiful here!" and another noted the presence of "really nice river front lots," indicating the desirability of the waterfront sites. The park also features "nice, shady" trees, although one guest cautioned about their "spiky-seeded" nature, advising to sweep off RV slides before retracting them. The presence of a "little dock that you can jump off into the river" adds a unique recreational element, allowing guests to directly enjoy the water. The park is also noted as "pet friendly," with one reviewer with a "big dog" stating it "wasn't an issue," suggesting a welcoming environment for furry companions. While one initial impression mentioned a degree of disorganization, the overall environment seems to be a significant draw, with its riverside location and natural beauty.
Based on the available reviews, River Bend RV Park offers a mix of services and amenities. The park has pull-through spots, as mentioned by one guest who stayed in a "smaller middle pull-through spot," indicating ease of access for various RV sizes. A unique feature is the presence of a mini-golf area, which seemed popular with children, as noted by the reviewer who saw "lots of kids were having fun doing it." The park is pet-friendly, catering to travelers with animals. However, it's important to note a significant service limitation: "They do not take credit cards." This cash-only policy is mentioned as a reason for no-shows and vacant spots, so potential guests should be prepared with cash for payment. While not explicitly listed, it is reasonable to assume standard RV park amenities such as water hookups, electrical connections, and sewage disposal are available at the sites. The availability of other amenities like restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, or Wi-Fi is not mentioned in the provided reviews, so it would be advisable to inquire about these when contacting the park. The friendly nature of the owner, who took the time to chat with one guest, suggests a personal touch in the management.
Key features of River Bend RV Park include its prime riverfront location, offering scenic views and direct river access via a small dock for swimming or potentially launching small watercraft. The park's pet-friendly policy is a significant draw for travelers with animals. The presence of pull-through campsites adds convenience for RVers of all sizes. The unexpected amenity of a mini-golf course provides a fun recreational activity, especially for families with children. The friendly and engaging nature of the owner, as reported by one guest, can contribute to a positive and welcoming experience. However, the cash-only payment policy is a notable feature that potential guests must be aware of. The initial check-in process was described as "a bit confusing" by one reviewer due to the signage for the office, suggesting that first-time visitors might need to pay close attention to directions upon arrival. Despite this initial confusion, the overall experience seemed positive for the reviewer.

River Bend RV Park Reviews
Good location, nice people but a bit disorganized and a tad prickly. We had a nice stay here in a 5th wheel for 3 days. It was a bit confusing upon arrival. The signs indicated that an office was 300ft ahead but it turned out to be a tree with an ‘office’ sign posted up on it and a small sign saying to call a number. Perhaps putting the sign at the top of the driveway would be better. They do not take credit cards and therefore people take advantage of them by booking spaces and then not showing up to pay. A number of really nice river front lots remained vacant during our stay in one of the smaller middle pull-through spots. The owner came by for a chat. He was a Super-nice guy and explained the reason for the nice, shady but spiky-seeded trees. Make sure to sweep off slides before retracting them. They have a little dock that you can jump off into the river. My dog had a blast. We didn’t try out golf but lots of kids were having fun doing it. I would stay there again.
May 16, 2023 · zmnixonPet friendly and everyone is friendly and helpful to out of towners like me! I have a big dog, wasn't an issue! And it's beautiful here! Right on the river and close enough to the store when you need something. Highly recommend checking out this semi hidden jewel!
Jun 05, 2018 · just meIt seems to be an alright place. My buddy's mom lives in the park and seems to like it there. It is close to shopping and schools
Apr 04, 2024 · Michael CallahanVery nice and quiet. Clean. Plum trees. Fire pit. On river. Fishing pickneck tables. Next to a nice park. We are looking to rent there now. Love that internet os included and laundry facilities for an amazing price.
Jul 09, 2019 · Brandy HuskAll long term, with maybe two sites a month short tern. Decent place for shorter stop overs. They do not enforce noise rules, which is a DAILY BLAST fest 2 to 3 hours EVERY SINGLE DAY plus hotrod noise in campground. Managers are nice, helpful in office but do nothing about the noise. Slight junk yard aparence. Not patrolled by police despite crime & weekly thief activty. Price is pretty good for nightly, or weekly. Near to Roseburg and many tourist sites. Weak net, drops a lot so be sure to bring your own which we used purely ours due to their local problems. Has decent, clean smelling, cheap laundry. No fish cleaning station that I could find. Pets required on leash but does not applie to cats it seems. Wild cats plus local collered cats are a problem.
