Western Star Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a mobile home community in Roseburg, Oregon, Western Star, located at 101 Lad Ln, Roseburg, OR 97471, USA, presents a location with recent and contrasting feedback regarding its environment and management. Inquiries can be directed to them at (336) 281-5302 or +1 336-281-5302. It is crucial for prospective residents to carefully consider these varying perspectives to gain a comprehensive understanding of the community.
One recent review paints a concerning picture of a community that has reportedly "gone way down hill." This reviewer expresses significant dissatisfaction with the current atmosphere, stating that there are "to many rude and aggressive residence" living in the park. A major safety concern is raised regarding the alleged disregard for park rules by a significant portion of the residents, described as "half the park." This behavior reportedly includes speeding within the park and tailgating other vehicles, even those driven by residents who are not doing anything wrong. The reviewer also mentions instances of threats. These actions create a potentially unsafe environment, particularly for families with children, who the reviewer advises to "watch out for their kids or possible risk seeing them get hit or having a child with no parents around to get them out the road."
Adding to these safety concerns, the reviewer claims that "Nothing is ever done" to address these issues, implying a lack of effective management intervention to enforce park rules and ensure resident safety. Due to the housing market conditions, this reviewer sadly states they have "no choice but to stay and cannot find a way out," highlighting the distress caused by the current living situation. They conclude their review with a strong recommendation against the park for couples with families "until they fix the issues and get rid of the bad seeds of the park," and advise others to "best to stay indoors." The reviewer also notes a significant decline in the park's quality compared to six years prior.
In stark contrast, another recent review offers a much more positive perspective, expressing love for "how nice the place is now." This suggests that improvements or changes have occurred that have positively impacted at least one resident's perception of the park. This reviewer is so impressed that they express interest in potentially purchasing the property should it ever be put up for sale, even considering hiring the manager for a lead position in their own corporation. This high praise for the manager, describing her as "very professional" and doing "an amazing job," directly contradicts the negative portrayal of the park's management by the other reviewer.
The positive review also highlights the "Great location" of Western Star, although specific details about the location's benefits are not provided. However, a desirable location is often a key factor for those seeking RV parks or mobile home communities, offering convenience to local amenities, services, and attractions.
Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," these contrasting reviews present a challenge in objectively assessing Western Star. For RV travelers seeking a temporary or longer-term spot, the potential for rude and aggressive residents and a lack of rule enforcement, as described in the negative review, could be a significant deterrent. Safety concerns, especially for families, would likely outweigh the potential benefits of a "great location."
On the other hand, the positive review suggests that recent improvements have been made, and the management, at least according to one individual, is professional and effective. This could indicate that the park is undergoing positive changes that might not yet be universally experienced or acknowledged by all residents.
Due to the conflicting nature of the feedback, it is difficult to ascertain the current environment, services, and features of Western Star with certainty. Typically, mobile home and RV parks offer essential amenities such as utility hookups (water, electricity, sewer), waste disposal, and potentially laundry facilities, restrooms, and recreational areas. However, the provided reviews do not offer specific details about these aspects.
Prospective residents, whether in RVs or considering mobile home living, should approach Western Star with caution and seek further information to reconcile these divergent opinions. It would be highly advisable to contact the park management directly to inquire about the issues raised in the negative review, such as the enforcement of park rules and measures taken to ensure resident safety and a peaceful environment. Asking about recent improvements mentioned in the positive review and the management's approach to community issues would also be prudent.
Furthermore, if possible, visiting the park in person and observing the community atmosphere could provide valuable insights. Speaking with current residents (if feasible and safe to do so) might offer a broader range of perspectives beyond the two contrasting reviews available online.
Given the lack of specific information about services, features, or promotional offers, it is challenging to address these aspects in detail. The primary focus of the available feedback is on the community atmosphere and the effectiveness of the management, with starkly different viewpoints presented.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Roseburg, OR, Western Star presents a location with potential benefits, as highlighted by the positive review's mention of a "great location" and professional management. However, the serious safety and behavioral concerns raised in the negative review cannot be ignored and warrant thorough investigation. Potential residents should weigh these conflicting accounts carefully and prioritize their safety and comfort when considering this community.
In conclusion, Western Star Mobile Home & RV Park in Roseburg, Oregon, elicits strongly contrasting opinions in its recent customer reviews. While one reviewer describes a deteriorating environment with rude and aggressive residents and ineffective management leading to safety concerns, another praises recent improvements, a professional manager, and a great location. This divergence underscores the importance of conducting thorough due diligence, directly contacting the management, and potentially visiting the park to form a well-informed decision before considering residency at Western Star.

Western Star Reviews
This place has gone way down hill and to many rude and aggressive residence live there now. Half the park is full of people who don't follow the rules of the park and ones that follow the rules have to watch out for their kids or possible risk seeing them get hit or having a child with no parents around to get them out the road. Nothing is ever done, and everyone speeds in the park or tail gates you and threatens you for doing nothing. I do not recommend this park to couples with family until they fix the issues and get rid of the bad seeds of the park. Sadly, I have no choice but to stay and cannot find a way out do to housing markets. Best of luck and best to stay indoors. It was never like this 6 years ago...
Oct 16, 2024 · DuhmaxesLove how nice the place is now. Wouldn't mind being a runner up to put a bid on the property should they ever wish to sell it above cost. I'm a little bit out from being able to drop the full amount should they ever choose to, however business is starting to pick up, and I wouldn't mind purchasing it if they ever have interest in selling. Great location as well. Wouldn't mind hiring the manager for a lead position in my corporation, she is very professional, and does an amazing job! Keep up the amazing work!
Mar 04, 2023 · Charlie KetchemGreat place to and for me so far. Worst part is the feral cats being fed against rules. But not much park can do I guess.
May 15, 2024 · Amy Nelson( Update: New manager in 2019, is an old park resident. They are not qualified to run the park and break every rule in the book. ) Surprised the lady running it has not been sued. for violating tenants rights.Update: The Park Managing appears to have been reported to the state for tenant violations. Since my last review a year ago the place is no longer maintained well at all. The Manager is seldom there anymore and has park residents doing services. Its slowly going down hill from poor managing by the new replacement.
Jan 14, 2020 · Argus CThe community is okay, I had better neighborhoods and had worse. The managers do a good job keeping up with the place. Rent is affordable which is a huge bonus. Nice starter homes.
