WILD COUNTRY RV PARK Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Keenesburg, Colorado area, WILD COUNTRY RV PARK, located at 29521 Co Rd 398, Keenesburg, CO 80643, USA, emerges as a highly recommended destination based on enthusiastic feedback from long-term guests. This RV park appears to offer a welcoming and well-maintained environment with a focus on community, amenities for families and pets, and spacious individual lots.
Several reviewers express surprise at recent negative feedback, emphasizing their consistently positive experiences at WILD COUNTRY RV PARK. One guest who has been staying since February states they have "nothing but good things to say" about the park and highlights the kindness of the office staff. This positive interaction with management is a recurring theme, suggesting a friendly and helpful service orientation.
The park appears to have clear and simple rules that are communicated at check-in. The reviewer notes that they have never received a fine, attributing this to following the provided guidelines. This implies that the park maintains order through consistent enforcement of its rules, likely contributing to a more harmonious environment for those who adhere to them. The reviewer also points out that those receiving fines may be doing so due to non-compliance with these rules, suggesting a fair and consistent approach to park regulations.
Safety within the park is also addressed, with a mention of speeding being a potential issue despite posted 5MPH limits. This indicates that while the park strives for a safe environment, guests are reminded to be mindful of speed limits for the well-being of everyone in the community.
A practical feature highlighted by a guest, especially important in Colorado's climate, is the presence of heated hydrants. The reviewer confirms that by following the rules to keep them plugged in, they have never experienced a frozen hydrant, while a neighbor who didn't follow this procedure did have an issue that was "fixed promptly" by the park management. This demonstrates the park's attention to infrastructure and their responsiveness to maintenance needs.
WILD COUNTRY RV PARK distinguishes itself by being both children and pet-friendly, a significant advantage as many RV parks in the area reportedly have restrictions on these. The park has a "nice rocked playground" for children and a "large dog park with doggie bag stations all throughout the park," catering well to families and pet owners. The pet policy includes the common-sense rule of keeping all pets on a leash, ensuring the safety and comfort of all guests.
A standout feature repeatedly praised by reviewers is the size of the individual lots. Guests appreciate the "large lots with plenty of space in between," offering more privacy and room compared to many other RV parks. This spaciousness can significantly enhance the overall living experience, especially for longer stays.
Long-term guests consistently express high satisfaction with WILD COUNTRY RV PARK. One such guest states they "continue to have nothing but great things to say about the park" and are surprised by low-star reviews. They emphasize that the office has always been "friendly and responsive" to any issues they've had with their space, reinforcing the positive feedback about the management.
Based on this overwhelmingly positive feedback from long-term residents, WILD COUNTRY RV PARK offers a welcoming and well-equipped environment for RV travelers in the Keenesburg, Colorado area. Its key features include friendly and responsive management, clear and enforced rules, heated hydrants for winter, a pet and children-friendly policy with dedicated amenities like a dog park and playground, and notably spacious individual lots.
While the reviews do not explicitly mention all services and amenities, typical RV parks often provide:
- Full hookups at each site (water, sewer, electricity).

WILD COUNTRY RV PARK Reviews
Sad to see the recent negative reviews on this place! Everyone in the office has been so kind to us, and we’ve never been given a fine on either occasions of staying in this park. We follow the simple rules that were given to us at check in.The ones getting the fines….I’d imagine it would have something to do with not following those…. 🫣?There tends to be a lot of outrageous speeding going on when it is posted everywhere, 5MPH…. That may also have something to do with it.The hydrants are heated and we have followed the rules to keep it plugged in… we have never experienced a frozen hydrant…. Our neighbor has (he unplugged the hydrant) and it was fixed promptly.Several parks in the area have gone to no pets, and no children. This park is children and pet friendly (with the common- all pets on a leash). They have a nice rocked playground as well as a large dog park with doggie bag stations all throughout the park. Also, you Can’t beat the large lots with plenty of space in between!
May 04, 2025 · Kaitlyn HickmanLong term guests of the park and continue to have nothing but great things to say about the park. The reviews with low stars are surprising to me. The office has always been friendly and responsive to us if we had any problems with our space.

Apr 18, 2025 · Dusty PollmanTried to secure a two month reservation with this campground for September And October, 2024. Woman answered the phone and started the usual query as to the number of people, pets etc. I told her we were retired individuals wanting a spot to visit our son and his wife who live in the Denver area. The next question wanted to know the age of our rig. Being honest, I told her that our rig was a 2003 Thor Citation. She NEVER said that the campground would not take older rigs and I could not find anywhere on their website about rig age.THAT IS WHEN THE LIES STARTED. She said that they do not take reservations and that they would have to call me sometime in August with availability. Sensing an issue, I explained that our rig was a one-owner and that our rig looks better than a lot of newer rigs on the road today. We felt that we were being snowed, so the next morning, I sent three pics of our rig to the campground. Well, our thoughts became a reality when we got a snotty, all capital response stating that there were no exceptions. Asking the age of the rig is their way of screening undesirable rigs in the campground. OK, but when I send them pics showing a rig in mint condition, they should think long and hard about allowance into the campground. What about refurbished old rigs like the 1960's Shastas that are on the road?
Jun 19, 2024 · Caroline SosnoskiRight off the highway, signs in the park for numbered spaces, area is pretty well lit. All gravel, not particularly level, water smells and nearby cattle create lots of flies. No signage to help you find it, had to wave down people to ask. No personnel on the property, calls go to answering system and return calls are next business day. Automatic two day charge for weekends.
