Barr Lake RV Introduce
Looking for "rv parks near me" in the Brighton, Colorado area? Consider Barr Lake RV, located at 17180 E 136th Ave, Brighton, CO 80601, USA. You can reach them at (303) 659-6180 or +1 303-659-6180 for inquiries and reservations. Based on recent customer reviews, Barr Lake RV offers a range of amenities and a generally positive environment for RV living, with particular appreciation expressed for the on-site management.
One long-term resident, who had been staying at Barr Lake RV since Christmas, shared a very positive experience. They highlighted several key features, including "nice bathrooms with showers," which suggests clean and well-maintained restroom facilities are available for guests. A notable convenience mentioned was the "cool" laundry room that allows payment via phone, eliminating the need for carrying quarters. This user also noted that the laundry facilities were typically not overcrowded, making it relatively easy to do laundry. Trash pickup was reported to be regular, occurring more than once a week, contributing to the cleanliness of the park.
A significant point of praise in the reviews is Kathy, who works in the front office. She is described as "the nicest lady" and "always willing to help." This suggests that the on-site management is friendly, approachable, and dedicated to assisting residents and guests, which can greatly enhance the overall living experience in an RV park. The lot rent was also mentioned as "very reasonable," and the inclusion of water and sewer in the rent adds to the affordability and convenience for residents.
For RV owners with larger rigs that might have ground clearance issues, the reviewer provided a helpful tip: using the entrance closer to the light, as it is more flat. This kind of practical advice from a resident indicates a level of community awareness and helpfulness within the park.
An important piece of information regarding local law enforcement is also shared. The reviewer mentioned that the Brighton Police Department regularly comes through the park to verify vehicle registration. They clarified that these visits are primarily for issuing tickets related to outdated registration, rather than for safety or security patrols. This is crucial information for residents and guests to be aware of to avoid potential fines.
One reviewer acknowledged the presence of "very negative reviews" but attributed them to the owners, suggesting a potential disconnect between the on-site management (specifically Kathy) and the overall ownership. This highlights the importance of distinguishing between the day-to-day management and the broader ownership policies or decisions that might impact the park.
This reviewer further elaborated on Kathy's role, emphasizing that she "runs the place" and does her best to make it comfortable and safe, often single-handedly. This reinforces the positive impression of the on-site management's efforts and dedication. The reviewer also pointed out that Kathy tries her best to accommodate both last-minute arrivals and local people, even with limited availability, which speaks to her commitment to customer service.
Addressing a common challenge in RV parks, the reviewer noted that "one person cannot be available 24/7/365" and again directed any broader issues or concerns to the owners, implying that Kathy's capacity to resolve certain problems might be limited by the ownership structure or support provided.
Another issue mentioned was with the phone and internet service in the park over the past few weeks. One resident even tried to help rectify the internet situation using their own resources, and they felt that this issue, too, should be addressed by the owners. The lack of adequate support for essential services like phone and internet can be a significant inconvenience for residents.
The reviewer also stated that the park does not have dedicated on-site support staff beyond Kathy, referring to a "know it all management company that only sees their paycheck" which does not actively facilitate the park's needs. This further underscores the reliance on the on-site manager for the smooth operation and positive atmosphere of Barr Lake RV.
Based on this information, Barr Lake RV offers several appealing features for those seeking an RV park near Brighton, CO. The presence of nice bathrooms with showers, a convenient mobile payment laundry facility, and regular trash pickup contribute to a comfortable living environment. The reasonable lot rent with water and sewer included adds to its affordability. The positive feedback regarding Kathy in the front office suggests a helpful and friendly point of contact for residents and guests, enhancing the overall experience.
However, potential residents should also be aware of the issues raised in the reviews, particularly the alleged negative aspects related to the owners and the challenges with phone and internet service. The regular presence of Brighton PD for registration checks is also a factor to keep in mind regarding vehicle compliance.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. Local users interested in Barr Lake RV should contact them directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about current rates, availability, long-term stay discounts, or any other special offers they might have. It would also be wise to ask about the current status of phone and internet services and any plans for improvement.
For local users searching for "rv parks near me" in Brighton, CO, Barr Lake RV appears to be a park with well-maintained basic amenities and a strong point in its on-site management. The sense of community and helpfulness among residents is also a potential draw. However, it is recommended to inquire about the ownership's responsiveness to park needs and the reliability of essential services like internet access when making a decision.
In conclusion, Barr Lake RV offers a convenient location in Brighton, CO, with positive aspects such as clean facilities, mobile-friendly laundry, reasonable rates including utilities, and a highly praised on-site manager. Potential residents should be mindful of the concerns raised about the owners and infrastructure issues like phone and internet and seek up-to-date information directly from the park management before making a commitment.

Barr Lake RV Reviews
I’ve been here since Christmas and I love it here. They have nice bathrooms with showers. The laundry room is cool because you can pay for your wash with your phone. No more lugging quarters. It’s usually pretty easy to get a load in as in it’s not always being used. Trash is picked up pretty regularly and I think more than once a week. Kathy in the front office is the nicest lady and she’s always willing to help. Lot rent is very reasonable. Water and sewer included. If you have a rig that tends to bottom out, use the entrance closer to the light. It’s more flat. Make sure your registration is up to date on your vehicles as Brighton PD comes through regularly to verify that. They don’t come through for safety and security, they come through to issue tickets.
Apr 02, 2025 · Chardonnay TomczakI would have to say, there are some very negative reviews on here, but that’s on the owners.Kathy runs the place and without help she does the best she can while doing things to make the place feel comfortable and safe.As someone that has a 42’ diesel pusher, the accommodations are far and few between and she does her best to accommodate everyone that’s (last minute) and local people as well. One person cannot be available 24/7/365 and once again, reach out to the owners. The phones and internet were an issue for the past few weeks here, I helped try to rectify it with my internet and that should be on the owners as well. They do not provide one person (just a know it all management company that only sees their paycheck) to help out facilitate the park.
Aug 04, 2024 · Jeremy kuhlmanUpdate # 2 Nov 2024It's a great place to be if you have an Rv. Everyone pretty much stays to themselves. I've had a few invites to cookouts as well. Kathy runs the property as tight as a ship. The other day crews came through to level off the gravel roads. Still content with the property. Dont think I'll be leaving my spotany timesoon.Update: Its may 2024 and i still enjoy the place. Its still quiet. I had one issue and the universe took care of it. Yea so its nice. I fiujd out there was showers on the property and they are pretty cleanI love it out here. Located in Brighton which is north of Denver. No better simple Rv park than here. Laundry room on-site 20 min from the airport. It's clean. water included. Lights are added to lot rent. Front office is very nice. I've been here 4 months and not really going nowhere else.
