Windmill Village Introduce
While your search for "RV parks near me" in North Fort Myers, Florida, might be underway, we'd like to introduce you to a well-regarded mobile home park known for its welcoming atmosphere and active social scene: Windmill Village. Located at 16131 N Cleveland Ave, North Fort Myers, FL 33903, USA, Windmill Village can be contacted at (833) 426-0832 or +1 833-426-0832. Based on customer reviews, Windmill Village appears to be a vibrant community that appeals to both property owners and visitors, particularly snowbirds seeking a friendly winter retreat.
One reviewer offers perspectives from two standpoints: as a property owner and as a visitor, stating, "I love it here in Windmill Village" in both capacities. This dual positive feedback strongly suggests a community that offers a high quality of life for its residents and a pleasant experience for those visiting. The reviewer explicitly notes that Windmill Village is "a great place to live" and "a great place to visit," highlighting its broad appeal.
Windmill Village is also identified as a popular destination for snowbirds, with the majority typically departing by the end of March and almost all gone by the end of April. This information is valuable for those considering seasonal residency or those who prefer a quieter atmosphere during the late spring and summer months. The presence of a significant snowbird population indicates that the community is accustomed to welcoming seasonal residents and likely offers a comfortable and engaging environment for them.
A key feature of Windmill Village is the emphasis on social interaction among its residents. The park offers a "lot of activities" designed to encourage residents to connect and get to know one another. These activities range from card games to dice runs and dances, providing a diverse array of opportunities for socializing and building friendships. The reviewer emphasizes the ease of meeting people, noting that even "just a walk around and you are greeted with smiles and waves," contributing to a "lovely" atmosphere within the community.
The amenities at Windmill Village further enhance the resident experience. There is a "great swimming pool" for recreation and relaxation, as well as a "clubhouse" that serves as a versatile space for various events, including dances and parties. The reviewer mentions that several such events had taken place recently, indicating an active social calendar and the clubhouse as a central hub for community gatherings.
Adding a practical note for potential newcomers, the reviewer mentions the availability of homes for sale and rent within Windmill Village. They specifically point out "lots of new trailers for sale," suggesting opportunities for those looking to purchase a new home in the community. Additionally, they observed "several used for sale" and "a couple for rent," indicating a range of housing options to suit different needs and budgets. This active real estate market within the park suggests a desirable community where people are keen to live.
However, it is important to present a complete picture based on all available reviews. Another reviewer shares a negative experience related to attempting to purchase a home in Windmill Village after experiencing a significant drop in their credit score due to a divorce. This individual felt they were discriminated against based on their credit, as they reportedly did not receive a response from the realtor regarding their potential transaction. Based on this experience, the reviewer expresses a negative view of the community, labeling it as "money hungry" and a "huge corporate sink hole for your pockets," advising others to learn from their "lesson learned!!!"
This contrasting review highlights a potential concern regarding the sales process or financial requirements for purchasing property within Windmill Village. While the majority of the feedback is positive regarding the community atmosphere and amenities, this experience serves as a reminder that individual financial situations and interactions with management or realtors can vary.
Considering both perspectives, Windmill Village appears to be a community with a strong social fabric, numerous activities, and appealing amenities like a swimming pool and clubhouse. It is also a popular destination for snowbirds and has a dynamic real estate market with new and used homes for sale, as well as some rental options. However, potential buyers should be aware that financial considerations, such as credit score, may play a significant role in the purchasing process.
To obtain specific promotional information regarding new or used homes for sale or any current rental opportunities in Windmill Village, interested parties should contact them directly using the provided phone numbers. Inquiring about the community's policies on credit checks for potential buyers and any fees associated with residency would also be prudent. Additionally, asking for a schedule of activities and events would provide further insight into the active social life within the park.
In conclusion, while you are searching within the category of "RV parks near me," Windmill Village in North Fort Myers, FL, offers a compelling residential option with a friendly and active community, appealing amenities, and a convenient environment that welcomes snowbirds. The availability of various housing options for sale and rent makes it an attractive prospect for many. However, potential buyers should be mindful of the financial aspects of purchasing property within the community and ensure they have a clear understanding of the requirements and processes involved.

It is a great place to visit. There are a fair number of snowbirds. Most leaving at the end of March, and certainly gone by the end of April.Lost of activities in the park to encourage social interaction. From cards to dice runs, dances and all kinds of stuff to get to know one another. Certainly difficult to not meet people....just a walk around and you are greeted with smiles and waves. Its just lovely. There is a great swimming pool and clubhouse, that can also be used for dances and parties. Apr 04, 2019 · Blair HongLife happens, you get a divorce, your credit takes a huge hit. I feel I was discriminated against because of my credit score thereafter, I never heard back from the realtor about my future transaction in buying a home in this development. That being said, I would not want to live in a community that is money hungry and a huge corporate sink hole for your pockets ! Lesson learned!!!
