For local users in the Wayland, Michigan area who are searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a well-maintained and accessible residential community, this guide introduces Windsor Woods Village, located at 1135 W Superior St, Wayland, MI 49348, USA. Windsor Woods Village can be contacted at (269) 792-4271 or +1 269-792-4271 for inquiries.
Windsor Woods Village operates primarily as a manufactured home community, offering a setting for individuals and families seeking a long-term residential environment. While the platform category is "RV parks near me," it's important to understand that manufactured home communities may or may not have specific provisions or amenities for recreational vehicles. Therefore, local users with RVs should inquire directly about the park's policies on RVs and the availability of suitable sites.
Based on the available feedback from residents, Windsor Woods Village appears to be a well-regarded community with several positive attributes. One reviewer expresses that they "really enjoy this place," particularly noting that it is "kept really clean" and "quiet." This suggests that the management places an emphasis on maintaining the cleanliness and peacefulness of the community, which can be a significant draw for prospective residents seeking a comfortable and tranquil living environment. The reviewer also highlights the convenience of its location, being "right off the highway," indicating easy access to transportation routes and potentially nearby amenities.
The same reviewer mentions that the manager is "quite strict" but offers a balanced perspective by stating that "in his defense, it is his job and it keeps the park well maintained and safe." This suggests that while the management may enforce rules diligently, it contributes to the overall upkeep and security of Windsor Woods Village, which can be beneficial for residents seeking a stable and orderly living environment. The reviewer also notes that it is a "Great place for kids," implying a family-friendly atmosphere within the community.
Another resident echoes the sentiment of cleanliness, describing the park as "So clean and such lovely foliage." This further reinforces the impression that the aesthetic upkeep of Windsor Woods Village is a priority. The presence of "lovely foliage" suggests a well-landscaped environment that contributes to the overall appeal and quality of life within the community.
However, this second reviewer also points out some areas for potential improvement within the park's infrastructure and safety. They suggest the need for "a few more speed bumps in certain areas and possibly a few more stop signs," indicating concerns about traffic flow and safety within the community, particularly for pedestrians and children. They specifically mention a visibility issue at "the first left when you come in the park and go around that curve," noting that a "giant bush is hard to see if anyone is coming" and recommending "more lighting at night" in that area. This highlights a potential safety concern at a specific intersection within the park.
Furthermore, the reviewer suggests that "that curve and the one a little further down need to be widened" as it is "hard to fit 2 vehicles around that curve at the same time," particularly during "Winter," which is described as "the worst time." This indicates potential issues with the narrowness of some roadways within the park, which could create inconvenience and safety hazards for residents, especially during challenging weather conditions. The reviewer also suggests that "the main drive in the first curve could also be opened up a little bit more," further emphasizing the need for potential road improvements within Windsor Woods Village.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," it is essential to determine if Windsor Woods Village accommodates RVs for long-term stays and if the infrastructure and potential roadway limitations mentioned by the resident would pose any issues for maneuvering larger vehicles. Contacting the management directly is crucial to obtain this information.
For all local users considering Windsor Woods Village for long-term residency, whether in a manufactured home or potentially an RV, the following steps are recommended to gather more detailed information:
- Contact Windsor Woods Village Directly: Call (269) 792-4271 to inquire about the availability of lots for manufactured homes and whether the community also accommodates RVs for long-term stays. If RVs are permitted, ask about site availability, size restrictions, hookups, and any specific regulations.
- Inquire About Community Maintenance and Safety: Ask about the management's approach to maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the park. Specifically inquire about any plans to address the road conditions, visibility issues at intersections, and the potential for adding speed bumps or stop signs as suggested by a resident.
- Ask About Community Rules and Regulations: Understand the rules and regulations of Windsor Woods Village, including any guidelines related to traffic within the park, landscaping, noise levels, and pet policies. The strictness of the manager, as mentioned by one resident, suggests that there are likely well-defined rules in place.
- Inquire About Amenities and Services: Ask about the services included in the lot rental fees (e.g., water, sewer, trash removal) and any additional amenities offered within the community (e.g., laundry facilities, recreational areas, community center).
- Inquire About the Lease Agreement: If considering lot rental, ask about the terms of the lease agreement, including the duration, payment schedule, policies on rent increases, and any other relevant clauses.
- Visit the Property: A personal visit to Windsor Woods Village is highly recommended. This will allow you to assess the cleanliness and foliage firsthand, as well as observe the road conditions, intersection visibility, and overall layout of the community. Pay attention to traffic flow and any potential challenges for maneuvering, especially if you have a larger vehicle.
- Attempt to Speak with Current Residents: If possible, try to speak with current residents to gain a broader range of perspectives on the management, maintenance, community environment, and any ongoing issues within the park. Their firsthand experiences can provide valuable insights.
The positive feedback regarding cleanliness, quietness, and the family-friendly atmosphere of Windsor Woods Village suggests a well-maintained and desirable community. However, the concerns raised about road conditions, visibility at intersections, and the narrowness of some roadways should be carefully considered, especially by those with larger vehicles or those who prioritize seamless traffic flow and safety within the community.
In conclusion, Windsor Woods Village near Wayland, MI, appears to be a clean and quiet manufactured home community with convenient highway access and a reputation for being well-maintained and family-friendly. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should directly inquire about RV accommodations. Windsor Woods Village Reviews
We really enjoy this place. We have never lived in a Manufactured Home community before and were quite nervous about it. This place is kept really clean, it is quiet, and it is right off the highway! The manager is quite strict, but in his defense, it is his job and it keeps the park well maintained and safe. Great place for kids.
Jul 18, 2017 · Suzanne Smith-LeJeuneSo clean and such lovely foliage. Need a few more speed bumps in certain areas and possibly a few more stop signs. There is the first left when you come in the park and go around that curve. That giant bush is hard to see if anyone is coming it needs more lighting at night. And also that curve and the one q little further down need to be widend it is hard to fit 2 vehicles around that curve at the same time. Winter is the worst time. And the main drive in the first curve could also be opened up a little bit more that would be great.
Jun 30, 2022 · Michelle LewisBeen here for 3 years and like it. Easy access to 131. Only wish people would abide by the speed limit here, its not a drag strip. Park is clean and well maintained by maintance. No problems here as long as you follow the rules which isnt hard to do.
Nov 08, 2019 · Mark ZApplied for a home and moved in a little over a week later!! Such a great place!! After being here for a few months, we have noticed the manager is only nice when you first move in and sign papers.
May 09, 2019 · Danielle NicholsLooking to relocate to Wayland area. Called and spoke with Christina (office mgr?) end of last week. My husband and I drove up from the south of end of Kalamazoo county today, to talk with Christina and pick up any paperwork. Also, to walk through and see one in particular. However, it wasn't possible, since their guys were working on repairs and renovations. But we did get a small look as we drove by.
