Barton Flats Campground

CA-38, Angelus Oaks, CA 92305, USA

4.0
Nice campground that has access to some of the best hiking around the area and it's at 6,500' MSL so there are chances during the summer that it is tolerable during the day. There is nice dirt road type hike to a lake that is stocked. I was there on a weekend and the the other campers (mainly families and tents) respected the noise hours and the restrooms and showers were clean. Great, friendly hosts who who also sell wood. Convenience store 15 minutes away and places to find a new tent 30 minutes (without traffic). Near a road so expect road noise especially during the day. - Tracy T
