Laku RV Campground Introduce
Are you searching for "camping near me" in the Crown Point, New York area? Laku RV Campground, located at 42 Bridge Rd, offers a camping option in the vicinity of Lake Champlain. To provide local users with a comprehensive understanding of this campground, we have compiled an objective introduction based on the available customer reviews, highlighting the environment, services, and features as described by those who have experienced it.
One review presents a highly negative experience at Laku RV Campground. This customer, who rented a seasonal site, described the campground as "undesirable, dysfunctional, and a health hazard." Specific issues raised include the alleged absence of promised sewage hookups despite an additional charge, inconsistent garbage disposal procedures (requiring self-management and a fee per bag), the lack of certified propane filling on-site, and the absence of a playground for children. This reviewer also reported concerns about other campers, including alleged pot smoking around children and an incident involving the burning of plastic for multiple days, which they claim was not adequately addressed by management. Furthermore, they described disruptive behavior from another camper, including washing dishes at their site and allowing their dog to relieve itself indiscriminately. This reviewer also detailed a negative interaction with the new owner regarding a refund of their electric deposit after their departure.
In contrast, another review offers a positive perspective, specifically regarding boat storage during the winter months. This customer stated that they store their boat at Laku RV Campground every year and have found the owner to be "great" and "friendly," with "good prices." They also noted that the camping area appears "neat clean." This review suggests that at least some aspects of the property, particularly the boat storage service and the general appearance of the camping area, are viewed favorably by this customer.
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, it is important for local users searching for "camping near me" to weigh these experiences carefully. The negative review raises significant concerns about the overall condition, management responsiveness, and atmosphere of the campground. Issues such as the alleged lack of promised amenities, problems with basic services like garbage disposal, and reported disruptive behavior from other campers are serious considerations for anyone planning a stay. The accusation of a health hazard is particularly concerning.
On the other hand, the positive review, while focused on boat storage, does mention a "neat clean" camping area and a friendly owner. This suggests that efforts may be made to maintain the grounds, and some interactions with the owner have been positive. However, the discrepancy between the two reviews is stark, indicating a potentially inconsistent experience for visitors.
Based on the information provided, it is difficult to ascertain the current state of services and features at Laku RV Campground. The negative review suggests a lack of essential amenities like proper waste disposal, propane filling, and recreational facilities for children. It also points to potential issues with utility hookups, as mentioned by the "beware one nighters" comment regarding non-functional electric hookups requiring the use of personal generators. The mention of a 9 pm campfire curfew and the information about campers being expected to bring their own lawnmowers further outlines some of the campground's specific regulations and expectations.
The environment of Laku RV Campground is not extensively described in the reviews. Its location in Crown Point, NY, suggests proximity to the natural beauty of the Lake Champlain region. However, the negative review mentions flooding, which could be a significant environmental concern depending on the time of year and weather conditions. The reference to traffic noise is absent in these reviews, but the general area might be subject to typical roadside sounds given its address on Bridge Rd (likely near a bridge or connecting road).
Given the serious allegations in the negative review, local users considering Laku RV Campground as a "camping near me" option should exercise caution and seek further information before making a reservation. It would be prudent to contact the campground directly at (518) 597-3495 or +1 518-597-3495 to inquire about the specific concerns raised in the negative review, such as the status of sewage hookups, garbage disposal procedures, propane availability, and the condition of the facilities. It would also be wise to ask about policies regarding noise, campfire regulations, and any measures taken to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all campers.
As there is no promotional information available in the provided text, it is impossible to comment on any special offers or discounts. Local users should inquire directly with the campground management about pricing for different types of sites (seasonal vs. short-term), electric deposits, and any other applicable fees, such as for garbage disposal. It would also be beneficial to ask about their refund policy, especially in light of the negative experience reported.
In conclusion, the available reviews for Laku RV Campground present a mixed picture. While one customer reports positive experiences with boat storage and the general appearance of the camping area, another details a highly negative stay with significant concerns about the lack of promised amenities, poor management response to issues, and an undesirable environment. For local users searching for "camping near me" in Crown Point, NY, Laku RV Campground warrants careful consideration and further investigation. Contacting the campground directly to address the concerns raised in the negative review and to gather current information about services, facilities, and policies is strongly recommended before making a decision.

Laku RV Campground Reviews
I do not recommend this campsite for it Is undesirable, dysfunctional and a health Hazzard. We rented a seasonal site for 1542.00. Also a 100 electric deposit. We were told it was an additional 200 by the new owner for he was putting in sewage hookups. There were no sewage hookups. Garbage was 2 to 5 bucks a bag and it was a run around , we ended up driving around for three days looking for management to take it. There was No one certified to fill propane. No playground for the children. Pot smokers all around the children. We were totally smoked out with #68 burning plastic for three days. Spoke to him it was illegal. He did it anyway. Spoke to management and management attacked us.Camp#68washed his dishes in our camp ,did his dog duty where he please and walked around with his Crack exposed to everyone. We left. Asked the new owner for only the remaining of our electric deposit and he attacked us also and we have yet to see our refund.your expected to bring your own lawn mower. No campfires after 9pm. It floods . Beware one nighters their electric hookups didn't work and you have to resort to your own generator.
