Mill Bridge Village & Camp Resort Introduce
For local users seeking "camping near me" or perhaps cabin rentals in the Ronks, Pennsylvania area, Mill Bridge Village & Camp Resort, located at 101 S Ronks Rd, Ronks, PA 17572, presents a destination with both campground and cabin options. Situated in a "beautiful quiet location," according to one reviewer, Mill Bridge Village & Camp Resort offers a potentially serene setting for a getaway. However, it's important for prospective visitors to be aware of both the positive aspects and some considerations highlighted in recent customer feedback to make an informed decision.
One reviewer noted the availability of "full hook up" even during the off-season, provided that campers utilize heat tape and other necessary precautions. This is a significant advantage for RV owners looking for year-round camping options with complete utility connections. The presence of a "very nice laundry room" with a small attached bathroom was also mentioned, indicating that even with some seasonal closures, essential facilities like laundry remain accessible. The emphasis on a "beautiful quiet location" suggests that Mill Bridge Village & Camp Resort offers a peaceful environment, potentially appealing to those seeking a relaxing retreat away from more bustling areas.
The positive interactions with staff, particularly a young man named Josh in the office, were specifically highlighted in two separate reviews. One reviewer stated, "The young man at the office - Josh - keep him! He salvaged my stay!" while another simply noted, "The location is good and service by the man at the front desk is excellent." These comments underscore the importance of friendly and helpful staff in ensuring a positive guest experience, and Josh appears to be a valuable asset to Mill Bridge Village & Camp Resort.
However, feedback regarding the cabin accommodations presents a more nuanced picture. One reviewer detailed several issues encountered in their cabin. The initial problem was a lack of functioning heat on the first night, which was eventually addressed with the provision of two space heaters for the remainder of their stay. While the issue was resolved, it's a point to consider for those opting for cabin rentals, especially during colder months.
Further concerns were raised about the quality and comfort of the cabin itself. The reviewer described the cabins as being "constructed very cheaply with poor quality (plastic) fixtures and uncomfortable furniture." Specific examples included a "very firm" queen bed with a "noisy vinyl mattress cover," a continuously running/leaking toilet, and a shower with a low showerhead that would be difficult for anyone taller than 5 foot 10 inches to use comfortably. Additionally, slow drainage in the bathtub, leading to standing water during showers, was noted. On a positive note regarding the bathroom, the reviewer did mention that the water was hot, which is certainly a welcome feature.
The pet policy for cabin stays also generated some concern for the reviewer who brought pets. They were informed of an additional pet fee by the office after the cancellation deadline had passed, despite the online reservation system (CampSpot) not correctly including this fee at the time of booking. While a "half" charge was eventually agreed upon, the reviewer expressed the opinion that the published/written pet fees should have been honored and that the website and CampSpot needed updating to accurately reflect pet fees for cabins. This situation highlights the importance of clarifying pet policies and any associated fees directly with the office when booking a cabin, as the online system may not be entirely accurate.
Considering these reviews in their entirety, Mill Bridge Village & Camp Resort offers a potentially pleasant camping experience, particularly for those with RVs seeking full hookup options in a quiet location, even during the off-season. The presence of laundry facilities is a definite plus. The positive comments about the staff, especially Josh at the front desk, indicate a commitment to good customer service.
However, those considering cabin rentals should be aware of the potential for issues related to the quality of the fixtures, furniture comfort, and bathroom functionality, as reported by one reviewer. It would be prudent to inquire about the specific cabin being booked and potentially any recent updates or improvements. Additionally, it is crucial for pet owners planning a cabin stay to contact the office directly to confirm the pet policy and any applicable fees to avoid unexpected charges, as the online system may not provide accurate information.
For local users searching for "camping near me," Mill Bridge Village & Camp Resort offers a location in Ronks, PA, which is situated in a scenic area that may be appealing. The availability of both campsites and cabin rentals provides flexibility for different types of travelers. To get the most up-to-date information on availability, pricing, and any current promotions, it is recommended to contact Mill Bridge Village & Camp Resort directly at (717) 687-8181 or +1 717-687-8181. Asking specific questions about the type of accommodation desired, especially regarding cabin amenities and pet policies, will help ensure a satisfactory stay.
In conclusion, Mill Bridge Village & Camp Resort offers a "beautiful quiet location" with the advantage of full hookup campsites and laundry facilities. The staff, particularly the front office, have received positive feedback. However, potential cabin renters should be aware of the reported issues concerning cabin quality and the importance of directly confirming pet policies and fees with the resort. By considering both the positive and negative feedback and seeking clarification when booking, local users can determine if Mill Bridge Village & Camp Resort is the right choice for their next camping or cabin getaway.

Mill Bridge Village & Camp Resort Reviews
Very nice campground. Off season most things are closed and there is only a small bathroom off a very nice laundry room. Huge plus is that you can have full hook up still as long as you use heat tape, etc. Beautiful quiet location.
Mar 25, 2025 · redroadzooThe young man at the office - Josh - keep him! He salvaged my stay! The location is good and service by the man at the front desk is excellent. The first night the cabin was cold. We could not get the heat to work. When the office opened in the morning, I called and they provided us two space heaters for the remaining nights.A few things to think about: The cabins are constructed very cheaply with poor quality (plastic) fixtures and uncomfortable furniture. The queen bed is very firm with a noisy vinyl mattress cover. The toilet leaked/ran continuously. The shower is low and if someone is taller than 5 foot 10, they would have difficulty standing up in it. Water in the tub takes a long time to drain so you're standing in ankle deep water while showering. Water was hot! So that is excellent.Pet policy: If you are bringing pets to the cabin, please call the office to confirm what you will be charged. The online reservations system, CampSpot, is not correctly configured for adding a pet fee to a cabin stay. I was informed of this by the office after the deadline to cancel for a full refund had passed. We worked out a 'half' charge, still I think the published/written pet fees should have been honored this time. Their website needs to be updated to clearly state pet fees for cabins and CampSpot needs to be updated to correctly charge for pet fees at the time of booking.
Dec 23, 2024 · Michelle LynchWe had a great stay at Mill Bridge! The staff was friendly and very helpful. The grounds are wonderful for a evening stroll or just people watching from your porch. The people that visit generally looked to be enjoying their time also. The Halloween activities were so adorable and set up so well! We can't wait to come back for another adventure!
Oct 07, 2024 · Alyssa KirstenI visited Sept 2024 after the hershey rv show along with my dog. I was pleasantly surprised. The campsite I chose was on the perimeter and surrounded by a working Amish farm with horses. It was peaceful, and was relaxing to watch the animals, sunrise, sunset. There is a nicely stocked store on site includes necessities and suivineers Campers and staff very friendly. Laundry and bathrooms clean. Short distance to lancaster town( 4 miles, )which contained plenty of places to shop/ eat. Found an Amish bbq behind target, and across the street from target a cracker barrel, plenty of other restraunts and shopping as well. Plenty of dog walking on neighboorhood streets as well as at campsite. Added bonus little Amish children peddle their baked goods on weekends from campsite to campsite. The camp provides scheduled activities, nice playground, nice pool. This campsite was a delightful find. Only 1 thing to note here, the water/electricity hookup may require extention cord/hose. Not a typical setup. I had a back in site, with the hookup on my RIGHT ( the site was very wide but short in depth) so I parked parallel to the fence, so did my neighbor who arrived before me. Problem solved! large sites along the perimeter plenty of room between neighbors .
Dec 24, 2024 · George KueyWe were really disappointed that I could not make a reservation on line and that you no longer take one night or 2 night stays . We pulled in at 3 pm and you were closed and that we met another camper that also pulled out . Country Acres got our business and will in the future . We have been coming to your campground since 2000. I am surprised that those empty lots were not worth the money for a one night stay and that you would sooner have it empty .
