They can be reached at (716) 731-3434 or their mobile number, +1 716-731-3434.
Based on recent online reviews from actual customers, it is crucial for potential local visitors to be aware of some significant issues that have been reported regarding this campground. While the initial overview might seem acceptable, numerous concerns have been raised about the services, billing practices, and overall customer experience.
Reported Issues with Services and Facilities:
One recurring complaint revolves around the shower facilities. According to a recent review, the showers are problematic, with temperatures fluctuating drastically between "super hot or super cold" with no comfortable in-between. This inconsistency in a basic amenity can significantly impact the comfort and satisfaction of campers, especially after a day of exploring the Niagara Falls area or engaging in outdoor activities.
Another significant issue highlighted by a customer is the discrepancy between information provided during booking and the actual conditions at the campground. This reviewer stated they were informed over the phone that tent sites had both water and electric hookups. However, upon arrival, they discovered that the tent site they were assigned did not have water access. Such misinformation can lead to frustration and inconvenience for campers who rely on these amenities.
Concerns Regarding Billing and Customer Service:
Perhaps the most concerning aspect raised in the reviews pertains to billing practices and customer service. One customer recounted a particularly negative experience involving their reservation and checkout process. They had booked and paid for a four-night stay. Upon attempting to check out before their fifth night (which they did not intend to stay), they were charged for an additional night. Furthermore, they stated that they were initially told during booking that checkout was by 6 pm. However, when they tried to check out at 3 pm, they were informed that the checkout time was 11 am, and the staff was unwilling to work with them or offer any assistance, ultimately leading to the extra charge.
This reviewer described the owners as "terrible to talk to and very rude," strongly recommending against staying at the campground due to the poor customer service and billing issues. They also mentioned that the firewood sold at the campground was overpriced at $10 a bundle, and they felt the overall campground was overpriced for the quality of the sites.
Negative Perception Based on Owner Interaction:
Another potential customer, who was planning an RV trip and considering Niagara Falls as a stop, explicitly stated that they would not be booking this campground based on the negative reviews, particularly focusing on the owners' responses to issues. This individual, who identified as a former business owner, emphasized the importance of how a business resolves problems and expressed disappointment in the perceived lack of customer service skills demonstrated in the reviews.
An update from this potential customer further reinforces these concerns. They appreciated a response from the campground owners to the initial negative feedback they read. However, they found the tone of the owners' reply to be negative and disrespectful towards a potential customer. This interaction led them to firmly decide against ever patronizing the establishment, citing a lack of customer relation skills and unprofessional behavior.
Environment and Features Based on Limited Information:
The initial overview mentioned by one reviewer was "good," but this positive initial impression was quickly overshadowed by the subsequent negative experiences. Beyond this vague initial assessment, the provided reviews offer limited details about the specific environment or features of the campground. The mention of RV and tent sites indicates that the campground caters to different types of campers. However, there is no information regarding the size or quality of the sites, the availability of other amenities (such as restrooms, laundry facilities, recreational areas, etc.), or the natural surroundings of the campground.
The address indicates that the campground is located on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Niagara Falls, NY. This suggests proximity to the attractions of Niagara Falls, which could be a primary draw for visitors. However, the reviews do not elaborate on the specific distance to the falls or other points of interest, nor do they describe the ambiance or scenery of the campground itself.
Lack of Promotional Information:
The provided information does not include any details about current promotions, discounts, or special offers that Niagara Falls Campground & Lodging might be running. Local users interested in potential deals would need to contact the campground directly to inquire about pricing and any available promotions.
Conclusion and Recommendation for Local Users:
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Niagara Falls, NY area, the recent reviews for Niagara Falls Campground & Lodging paint a concerning picture. While the location might be convenient for visiting the falls, the reported issues with shower temperature, inaccurate site information, problematic billing practices, and poor customer service are significant red flags. The negative interactions with the owners, as perceived by multiple reviewers, are particularly troubling.
Given these consistent negative experiences reported by recent customers, local users should exercise extreme caution when considering a stay at Niagara Falls Campground & Lodging. It would be highly advisable to thoroughly research alternative campgrounds in the Niagara Falls area that have more positive and consistent recent reviews regarding their services, facilities, and customer relations. Exploring other options might lead to a more enjoyable and stress-free camping experience while visiting this iconic natural wonder.
Before making any booking, it would be prudent to check multiple review platforms for the most up-to-date feedback and potentially contact the campground directly with specific questions and concerns based on the issues raised in the reviews. However, based on the currently available information, proceeding with caution and exploring alternative "camping near me" options in the Niagara Falls region is strongly recommended.

Jul 11, 2024 · Ben LabrotWe are starting to plan our RV trip to Main. Niagara Falls is a perfect stopping place for us. Based on the negative reviews, we won't be booking this camp ground. Mainly because of the owners' response to issues. I owned a business for many years. I always said, every business has a problem from time to time. It's not the problem. It's how you solve the problem.UPDATEDear Sirs:Thank you for your response. I appreciate the fact that you wrote back. It is sad that you spoke so negatively to one of your potential customers. Telling me, I should do this and should do that, is dead wrong! As a business owner, every customer who wants to give me their money is valuable to me. I would never disrespect any customer, for any reason. I will never enter your establishment based on your response. You my friend are an idiot and have zero customer relation skills.I could give you some amazing pointers, how to treat customers properly. But frankly. You are not worth my time!Regards.A Never Customer.
Sep 10, 2024 · Steven ShorrWe had a very bad experience with the owners, the showers and the noise at this campground. It was overpriced as we noticed they charged us way more than advertised on their website. The shower water temperature is a roulette game, sometimes warm sometimes cold. It all depends on how many showered before you. This occurred even with a half empty camp ground. I can't imagine staying here with a full campground. Any complaints are categorized as a lie by the owner. Of course will the water be warm 20 minutes later. Additionally, the shower building is always cold because it is heated by one stand alone electric heater. If you want a nice stay in this region, I advise to go somewhere else.
May 05, 2024 · G VWGreat campground close to amenities, Buffalo, and Niagara. It was clean and well kept with laundry facilities and full hookups. Laundry is a little pricey though, $3.50 each wash and dry. Highly recommend!
Apr 12, 2024 · The Simple EnvironmentalistWe couldn’t have been more happy! The ground was extremely level, grounds were clean with plush grass, and the spots were plenty big enough for our 45 foot fifth wheel, with full hookups. The location was perfect, very close to Niagara Falls. Those who gave poor reviews, were charged for not leaving on time. If you’re a camper, you should know to check-out and leave on time. The pool was sparkling clean, and laundry was available! Perfect campground for our getaway. Sincerely, full-time RV-ers
