It's important to note that recent customer reviews provide insights into the potential experience at this campground, which may help local users make an informed decision.
Based on the available feedback, Pilgrim's Campground appears to function as both a campground and a full-time RV park. However, several reviewers have reported negative experiences, primarily concerning customer service and the management's approach to campground maintenance during guest stays. These accounts suggest that potential visitors should be aware of these issues when considering Pilgrim's Campground for their "camping near me" needs.
Environment and Ambiance:
One reviewer described the campground as appearing to be a mix of a full-time RV park alongside a campground. This suggests a potentially diverse environment with a combination of longer-term residents and short-term campers. However, the reviews do not offer extensive descriptions of the natural surroundings or the overall aesthetic of the campground itself, beyond the mention of areas lacking grass but having dirt.
One significant environmental issue raised by a reviewer was an incident involving the owner mowing the lawn around their campsite while they were eating dinner and spending time with a friend. This mowing included rocky areas and dirt patches, which resulted in a "dust storm" that covered their food and belongings, creating a health concern for someone with asthma. This incident paints a picture where campground maintenance was prioritized over the comfort and experience of the guests present.
Services and Facilities:
While specific details about the services and facilities are limited, one review mentions an interaction with a woman (potentially the owner's wife) at check-in who indicated that assistance was available via phone. However, the reviewer stated that messages left requesting help for a noise disturbance and the dust storm went unanswered. This suggests a potential disconnect between the promised service and the actual responsiveness of the management.
Another interaction involved a potential customer who inquired about rates and availability. This individual reported the phone conversation as "rude and short," and felt that they were treated dismissively. This initial contact experience raises concerns about the customer service provided even before arrival.
The lack of response to requests for assistance regarding disturbances and health concerns, coupled with the negative phone interaction, points to potential shortcomings in the customer service aspect of Pilgrim's Campground.
Features and Activities:
The provided reviews do not mention specific features or activities offered at Pilgrim's Campground. There is no information about amenities such as playgrounds, swimming areas, hiking trails, or organized events. The focus of the reviews is primarily on the interactions with the management and the handling of campground maintenance.
Without further information, local users looking for "camping near me" with specific recreational features would need to seek additional details about what Pilgrim's Campground offers beyond just a place to park an RV or set up a tent.
Promotional Information (Based on Available Data):

Please be aware that recent feedback from visitors includes reports of negative experiences with customer service and campground maintenance practices. We encourage potential visitors to consider these recent experiences when evaluating Pilgrim's Campground for their local camping needs.
For local users exploring "camping near me" options, Pilgrim's Campground is a geographically relevant choice in Fort Atkinson. However, the available reviews highlight potential issues with customer service, communication, and the consideration of guest comfort during maintenance activities. Pilgrim's Campground Reviews
I did not get a chance to visit, the woman that answers the phone was very rude and short, happy for her having such a busy season, I wanted a week rate, she said she was full till september(23), I asked for a dailey rate, she said "$40." I said "really", she said I was rude and insinuated "I was not on the rich end of the stick. WOW. I did not know that "rich" was a requirement.
Aug 05, 2023 · Maggie DorauCampground is appears to be a full time RV park alongside a campground. Had a negative experience with the owner. While eating dinner and subsequently enjoying time with a visiting friend, we were interrupted by a person who later informed us he was the owner. Without warning, he circled our campsite with his lawn mower. Mowing included the road (rocks) and multiple areas lacking in grass but dirt and creating a dust storm/asthmatic nightmare. So much dust had settled on my phone that I was able to write my name across the screen. Dinner was a bust as dust settled on our food and had to be tossed. My husband politely advised the person mowing of the issue, asking if he was realized he was creating a disturbance. He informed my husband that he was the owner ànd he had to get it done.I was informed by the person that checked us in a few days prior (owner's wife?) that assistance was only a phone call away, I called the number a couple times. Messages left requesting assistance for a noise disturbance, dust storm creating a health concern and help went unanswered.Person mowing/owner later came by to say he was sorry but he had a job to do. He said that 'this little bit of peace and tranquility we were enjoying required maintaining" and that it was "too bad" we were there. Wait. WHAT?? Sorry you have a paying customer? We were not informed that this disturbing maintenance would be performed during our visit. Mowing could easily have been done after our check-out happening the very next morning. Being the only camper in that section would have simplified mowing and avoided a disturbance. Our safety and we'll being was not a consideration.Poor customer service, lack of communication, disregard for customer safety, disrespectful attitude and unwillingness to consider customer's needs is why I am giving this campground a single star rating. Jul 28, 2022 · D WardGreat friendly staff and seasonal campers, meet a lot of great people, had a blast playing “A minute to win it”, very organized and LOVE my prize. Our camp site was very clean and quiet close to port a potty. loved seeing family enjoying themselves. The pool was cool and clean. Only gave it a 4 because the shower stall I first went in did not work.
Jul 07, 2019 · Melanie FregeauI love that this is family run. Very friendly people. No strick regulations on when to arrive or leave. Nice big E/W sites.
Jul 09, 2024 · C ALooks to be a mainly seasonal Park with ample short term parking and tent sites as well. I have old school high standards for awesome parks and little tolerance for communist nonsense. This is a great park and a great place to spend your time and money. I camp while traveling for work and this is my new go to spot in the Madison area.
