Ramsey Park - Cansayapi Park-, 99 E Oak St, Redwood Falls, MN 56283, USA

The park is beautiful! It’s clean with great amenities, I honestly really like it. Unfortunately there is a gun club very close by that pops off all day long, into the evening. It would be nice to enjoy the sounds of nature and relax, but the gunfire is very loud and nonstop. Nothing is wrong with the park itself, but it’s just not a quiet place to relax. I asked on a facebook camping group if they heard this noise before or if it was just today and they say the sounds are just some weekdays for events at the club. The gunfire went from 3pm to 9pm, Nonstop. Then I was harassed and threatened online by some members of the club for asking if this was a firework event or gun range that was so loud (I didn’t know) and they thought was complaining about guns (I wasn’t) so be careful, there are some very sensitive men with guns in the area. I simply asked if it was a fireworks event or gun range, and if it was a common occurrence, and members began harassing. Go ahead and shoot guns in a gun range, that’s great, I didn’t expect the constant sounds while camping because I didn’t know a gun range was next door. - Candace Gaiser

The environment of Ramsey Park is described by a visitor as "beautiful" and "clean," suggesting a well-maintained natural setting for camping. The park likely features scenic landscapes typical of the Redwood Falls area, which could include trees, open spaces, and possibly proximity to natural features that make the area appealing for outdoor recreation. According to a visitor's experience, gunfire can be heard frequently and loudly, sometimes lasting for extended periods during the day and into the evening (e.g., from 3 pm to 9 pm). While this noise may only occur on some weekdays during events at the club, it can detract from the peaceful enjoyment of nature that many campers seek. Ramsey Park Campground features both electrical hookup sites and a tent camping area, providing options for different types of campers. The availability of 30 and 50 amp electrical service is a significant feature for those traveling with RVs or trailers. The pull-through nature of some electrical sites is not explicitly mentioned, but the total of 31 sites with electrical hookups indicates a substantial capacity for RV camping. The tent camping area, operating on a first-come, first-served basis, offers a more traditional camping experience. The inclusion of a dump station for those with electrical hookups, and its availability for a fee to non-campers, is a convenient feature. The park itself is described as beautiful, suggesting access to scenic areas and possibly other recreational facilities within Ramsey Park - Cansayapi Park - (though these are not detailed in the provided text). However, a notable feature that potential campers must consider is the proximity to a gun club. The noise from the gun club, described as "nonstop" during certain hours on some weekdays, can significantly impact the tranquility of the camping experience. While the park itself is not responsible for the noise, its proximity to this external factor is a key feature of the location that local users should be aware of when planning their "camping near me" getaway.

Based on the provided information, the fees for Ramsey Park Campground are as follows: Electrical Hookup sites, which include access to the dump station, cost $28 plus sales tax for mid-week stays (Monday-Thursday) and $26 plus sales tax for weekend stays (Friday-Sunday). The Tent Camping Area costs $15 plus sales tax per tent per night. For non-campers using the dump station, there is a fee of $5.00. It is important to note that these fees and regulations are subject to change, and it is always recommended to verify the current rates and rules directly with the campground before your visit. The camping season runs from May to mid-October. While no specific promotional offers are mentioned, local residents might inquire with the campground directly about any potential seasonal discounts or special rates for longer stays within the 5-night maximum limit. Given the positive comments about the park's beauty and amenities, despite the noise issue, the pricing appears to be competitive for the services offered. Local users should weigh the cost against the potential for noise disturbance when making their decision.

In conclusion, Ramsey Park Campground in Redwood Falls, MN, offers a beautiful and clean camping environment with essential amenities such as electrical hookups, a dump station, and a tent camping area. It is also pet-friendly and enforces quiet hours. However, a significant consideration for local users seeking "camping near me" at this location is the proximity to a gun club, which can generate loud and frequent gunfire during certain times on weekdays, potentially impacting the peacefulness of the stay. The fees are clearly outlined, with different rates for electrical hookups during the week and weekends, and a separate fee for tent camping. While the park itself receives positive feedback for its aesthetics and amenities, the external noise factor is crucial for potential campers to be aware of.
