Sea Swell Megunticook Reviews
My husband and I had the nicest stay at this campground. We stayed 10 days. It was fairly quiet. Mostly the evening it was quiet, during the day you could hear traffic from the road, seriously it's my only negative. And not much of a negative at all.The camp store is awesome, along with the friendly camp employees. Great job with the souvenirs and the craft drinks in the cooler. The laundry room was clean, and there were adequate washers and dryers. I did use the public restroom, and it's was cleaner than my bathroom at home. The site we had was level. Nice trees for shade and fit our rig perfectly, good water pressure. They have wifi for a cost. Cell service, not great. The view..... omg, it was spectacular. Sunrise. Sunset was amazing. Moonrise was unbelievable. And it was just a short yet steep walk to the ocean. We spent many hours in this quiet treasure. Now, if you are lucky enough to be there when they have the lobster bake. I would highly recommend it. It was delicious, and we looked forward to it all summer long. The location of the campground was perfect because you were only a few hours away from so many beautiful sights, lighthouses, quaint cities, and national park/state parks.10 out of 10 would recommend Sea Swell Megunticook campground. We will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality.
Sep 06, 2024 · Karen BaileyLoved our stay at the camp ground. The view of the bay was beautiful and the lobster bake was so much fun. Everyone was really friendly and went out of their way to make sure our family had everything we needed. JoJo especially stood out with her genuine concern and caring attitude. We will definitely be back!
Sep 01, 2024 · Alison CruessGreat campground perfectly located near the Camden and Rockland area. Very friendly staff! Every time I walked into the office, I was greeted by a cheerful hello, how can I help you! Bathrooms were always spotless! Showers are free with plenty of hot water. Laundry room was equally clean. Nice pool. There's a great place to just sit by the ocean, relax and watch all the sailboats. We also spotted dolphins, harbor seals and a few eagles!Only thing that I would complain about is the traffic noise from nearby Route 1, but it does quiet down at night.Overall, great campground!
Aug 17, 2024 · Raymond RichardVery nice quiet campground with a picturesque area to relax and enjoy the views of the ocean. The location was ideal for exploring and shopping in the areas fishing villages in Camden and Rockland, Me. Friendly and helpful staff, Clean bathrooms and private, free shower stalls. The only thing that would of been nice to be included was wifi and we could hear a little sound from the road but if you reserve a site further away from the road should be quieter. We definitely will return in the future.
Aug 10, 2024 · Cindy CurranThe campground is well-kept and the staff is friendly. The campsite we chose for a 22' RV was a little small and close to others but you live and learn. The travel distance to downtown Camden is under 10 minutes and there are many other stores and businesses nearby. The ocean-front terrace is very nice and the view is beautiful. Overall I would recommend and would return again.
