Shadow Hills Farm Reviews
Our stay at Shadow Hills Farm was one of the best experiences we've had on travel. The perfect combination of a tranquil location and a beautifully maintained cabin. Ken and Tammy made for an unforgettable stay. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to escape to the nature (Lake George, West Mountain, and Saratoga Springs) and enjoy some peace and relaxation. We can't wait to return!
May 18, 2024 · Ida LuWould definitely stay again--the peacefulness of camping plus more privacy. You don't have to worry about packing/bringing a tent, air mattress, firewood, etc. The tent has trees around it but is next to an open area great for seeing the stars. We could park 2 cars right next to the tent. There is a picnic table and separate chairs, a trash can and bags, a lantern, a fan, lights, comfortable beds and bedding....really everything you need. There is a hose for handwashing and an outdoor shower with a roof, electricity to charge a cell phone, even a lighter and newspaper in a cooler. They checked on us once to make sure everything was good. You're 10 minutes from a grocery store if you do forget something but you wouldn't know it just by being there. Relaxing weekend.
Aug 28, 2023 · Jennifer FrigolettePlace was adorable. Kids really enjoyed knowing a letter to Santa. And they let the do some decorating and hanging on the tree. It was really cute. And the lights in the yard were just super super nice. We all had such a great time. Thank you!
Dec 21, 2023 · Belinda L. PisarriShadow Hills Farm far exceeded our expectations! The cabin is cozy, clean, comfortable and also has air conditioning, as well as a TV with streaming options. Yes, there's Wi-Fi, though the surroundings are so nice and peaceful that the noise of the internet and TV was the last thing we wanted during our entire stay, since it clashed with the relaxing sounds of the birds and the constant breeze through the trees. There's a separate cabin, which has a fridge, bar/counter with pretty much all the amenities you'd need to make hot beverages, store cold drinks and perishables, as well as prep whatever you plan to put on the grill. Oh yeah, there's a propane grill that works really well! The hosts thought of everything, there was nothing that we needed that they hadn't supplied. Plus, there's the option of a great breakfast and lunch place not more than about two miles away. There's also a really nice fire pit with more than enough fire wood. Even the outhouse is impressive; hand sanitizer dispenser and extra toilet paper, no bugs or mosquitoes, and it didn't smell! As for the outdoor shower, it's very clean and well designed. At night there are nice, dim lights on the trees to light up the area to see your way around but without taking away from the country ambience. It's worth mentioning that the hosts are awesome! They're so nice and welcoming, available to answer any questions, yet are out of sight, leaving you to enjoy the surroundings with privacy.Suffice it to say that "I'll be back!" … we'll be back. This place is a hidden gem.Update October 2022: Back to see the foliage second week of October. Even with rain and fog, the colors did not disappoint.
Oct 14, 2022 · FamousTVvoiceShadow hills farm blew us away! From the decor to the amenities Shadow Hills farm went above and beyond any expectations. Upon arrival we were greeted with a beautifully setup common area. The twinkle lights strung all over, brought a stunning ambience. The hosts were so gracious and accommodating. They were there when we needed them but gave us our privacy. The bar area was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to create a meal! The fire pit was immaculate and the wood was plentiful! The outdoor shower was awesome! It was like bathing in the rain. The playground area was as well, immaculate and well tended to. The outhouse was clean and perfectly stocked. The cabin itself was amazing! Adorably decorated! It was equipped with anything and everything you might need! It was clean and very comfortable! My only complain is that we didn't stay long enough... I can confidently say we will be returning!
