You can reach them at (617) 794-0130 or their mobile number +1 617-794-0130 for inquiries. Reviews suggest a property with a distinctive character, managed by a host named Justin who is described as amazing and doing a fantastic job. The overall atmosphere is portrayed as unique, quaint, and offering peaceful tranquility. However, it's important for prospective visitors to also consider other recent feedback regarding potential ongoing development and site conditions to have a well-rounded understanding of what to expect at Toad Hill.
The environment at Toad Hill appears to be one that many visitors find conducive to peaceful tranquility. The description of the property as "unique and quaint" suggests a setting that might offer a more rustic or unconventional camping experience compared to traditional campgrounds. The natural surroundings of Chatham, New Hampshire, are likely to contribute to this tranquility, with the area known for its scenic beauty in the White Mountains region. However, one recent review mentions the presence of a construction site, which could potentially impact the peacefulness of the environment during certain times. This reviewer also noted the lack of privacy due to neighboring campers' fire pit smoke, suggesting that campsites might be in close proximity. Therefore, while the potential for a tranquil natural setting exists, local users should be aware of the possibility of ongoing development and limited privacy depending on the specific campsite and current activities on the property.
The services at Toad Hill, based on the limited review information available, seem to be somewhat unconventional. One reviewer mentioned staying in an "old ambulance," indicating that the accommodation options might extend beyond traditional tent sites or cabins to include repurposed vehicles or other unique structures. This adds to the "unique and quaint" character of the property. However, another reviewer expressed disappointment regarding the lack of an outhouse that was supposedly mentioned and also alluded to the absence of other expected facilities. This suggests that the availability and quality of standard campground services like restrooms might be limited or different from what some visitors might anticipate. The positive feedback about Justin, the host, implies that while formal amenities might be basic, the management is attentive and helpful. Local users considering Toad Hill should definitely inquire specifically about the available services, including restroom facilities, water access, and any other amenities they deem essential for their camping experience. The unique nature of the accommodations, such as the ambulance, could be a feature in itself for some, while others might prefer more traditional camping arrangements.
The features of Toad Hill are highlighted by its uniqueness and potential for peaceful tranquility. The option to stay in an "old ambulance" is certainly a distinctive feature that sets it apart from typical campgrounds, offering a memorable and perhaps quirky lodging experience. The overall ambiance is described as quaint, suggesting a smaller, more intimate setting. The positive mention of peaceful tranquility indicates that for some visitors, Toad Hill provides a welcome escape from noise and crowds. However, the contrasting review points out potential drawbacks such as the presence of a construction site and a lack of privacy due to the proximity of campsites and fire pit smoke. The uncertainty surrounding the availability and location of an outhouse also raises questions about basic facilities. For local users seeking a non-traditional camping experience with the potential for quiet relaxation, Toad Hill might be appealing. However, it's crucial to weigh this against the reported issues of ongoing construction and limited privacy. The unique accommodations, like the ambulance, could be a significant draw for those looking for something different from the standard camping fare.
Regarding promotional information, the limited review data does not provide any details about specific discounts or special offers at Toad Hill. Given its unique nature and smaller scale, it's possible that promotions are less common or more informal. Local users interested in staying at Toad Hill should directly contact Justin at the provided phone numbers to inquire about pricing, availability, and any potential discounts for local residents or for stays of a certain duration. It would also be wise to ask about the current status of any construction on the property and to get a clear description of the available accommodation options (e.g., the ambulance vs. traditional tent sites) and the restroom facilities. Understanding the pricing in relation to the described environment and services will help local users determine if Toad Hill offers good value for their specific needs and preferences. It's also worth asking if there are any specific guidelines or recommendations for maximizing privacy during their stay.
In conclusion, Toad Hill in Chatham, New Hampshire, offers a potentially unique and quaint "camping near me" experience with a focus on peaceful tranquility, managed by a host described as amazing. The option to stay in unconventional accommodations like an old ambulance adds to its distinctive character. However, recent feedback also highlights potential drawbacks such as ongoing construction on the property, limited privacy due to neighboring campsites, and uncertainty regarding basic facilities like outhouses. For local users considering a visit, it is strongly recommended to contact Justin directly at (617) 794-0130 to get the most up-to-date information on site conditions, available services, pricing, and any potential promotions. Understanding both the positive aspects of its uniqueness and tranquility, as well as the potential challenges related to development and privacy, will enable local campers to make an informed decision about whether Toad Hill aligns with their desired camping experience.

Toad Hill Reviews
Justin's amazing! Does a fantastic job with the whole property. Very unique and quaint. Peaceful tranquility at its best.
Apr 23, 2025 · Katie LinehanCome, visit, stay in an old ambulance in the midst of a construction site. It was so wonderful. And if that isn't enough, enjoy the solitude of neighboring campers' fire pit smoke. Not much privacy here. Wonder where the hell was the outhouse spoken of.
Oct 20, 2024 · Ralph M BohmWe recently booked Tipi Tent and cancelled it before 3 days though we found it hard to connect with help desk or Justin. We didn’t get the refund. See my conversation. Justin is not available and he won’t pick calls at all. Also they don’t refund. Do not book through Toadhill direct website. If their website itself is not working then think about the host. You can’t risk your family here.
Aug 28, 2024 · DineshKumar KothandanWe had the most amazing time and have already booked our 2nd stay. Perfect place to get away from everything and be out in nature while still having a bed to sleep in and the warmth of a wood stove.
Sep 12, 2024 · Keri BurtoWe had a lovely time staying in the Cassidy bus! Such a romantic, cozy place with a great view from the back of the bus! Justin is a great host; very responsive. We’ll be back soon!
