Tuxbury Pond Campground Reviews
Nice staff. Way too many potholes. Not well kept. Bathrooms are filthy, garbage is a drive to get to depending on what side of the park you are on. Couldn't get our class A 40' around the first corner without removing our tow. Store closes at 5 pm no staff until 10 am. Was not a great experience.
Aug 10, 2024 · Susan WilsonReserved a "loft" for$274 for 1 night. Mattresses had covers that were ripped and mattress had obvious stains. Front deck was literally falling off the building. Carpets were filthy. Internet does not work. Water was not hooked up. Grill had foil over it that had been used. Drawers missing. And I'm sure I'm forgetting other things. Staff was polite but unable to fix anything and owner did not return my phone calls.
Jul 19, 2024 · Joe EdieNot too bad of a place to stay but the bathroom was not cleaned the whole 7 days I was there, there was no toilet paper for days in the women's bathroom. There is no grounds keeper or other staff beside one person at the desk in the store. Because of these reasons I will most likely find a new campground next year.
Aug 21, 2024 · mika woodcockWe discovered this campground last season. We are Thousand Trails members, but are considering becoming seasonal at this location next season. We have seen improvements primarily by the vibe of the new management structure, particularly Scott, the new campsite manager. He is attentive and is nurturing. I have noticed little things getting done, and employees smiling. I have read comments on reviews stating that season campers sort of exclude tranient campers like us. This would be far from the truth. Yes, seasonals do attempt to organize budget-neutral activities, but I have never experienced exclusion.VIBE is everything. After all, seasonal campers have committed to the property more than anyone popping in for a few days. Nothing is worse than negative Nancy's providing their 2 cents on the overall vibe, as they only stay a couple of days.On the community police visiting, this campsite is not immune to police responding, but there are always a higher probability relating to medicals. I rather our aging campers have adequate response in the unlikely event of a need. The presence of officers is a plus, but they don't patrol the campground. The camp management does patrol to make sure things like quiet hours don't get out of hand.I generally believe the campground is strong because the management is managing and the seasonals are investing extra time and energy to provide a great environment.
Jun 18, 2024 · Carlos GonzalezI had a really nice time here. I know there are some areas that are a little rough around the edges but this is a campground not a 5 star hotel. I really enjoyed the vibe and location. The staff were really nice and helpful. I'll be back
