Willey Brook Campground Introduce
If you're searching for "camping near me" in the Wolfeboro, New Hampshire area, Willey Brook Campground, located at 883 Center St, Wolfeboro, NH 03894, is an option to consider. However, it's important for local users to be aware of some feedback from recent individuals who attempted to book or stay at this campground, as their experiences highlight certain policies and customer service approaches that may influence your decision.
One potential local user shared their experience attempting to make a reservation. They were looking for a place to bring their camper for a weekend to meet family. Upon calling, the presence of a toddler in the background was noted by the person taking the reservation, who then stated they had "nothing available for kids." When the caller inquired if children were allowed at all, they were told that kids are permitted but that there is no specific "entertainment for them." This suggests that Willey Brook Campground might not be particularly geared towards families with young children in terms of on-site activities.
The same potential guest then mentioned their party consisted of their wife, toddler, and three dogs. The response they received was "oh no that is way too much…." This led to the caller simply ending the conversation. This interaction raises questions for local users who may be traveling with a family of a similar size or with multiple pets. It indicates a potential limitation or disapproval of larger families or those with several pets.
The reviewer expressed being "mind blown" by this experience, noting that they have camped with the same number of people and pets for years without such issues. They also commented on the perceived "bitter and uptight" nature of the interaction and wished the business luck while operating in this manner. This feedback suggests that some potential guests might find the booking process or the campground's policies to be less accommodating than expected.
Another review echoes concerns about the customer service, stating that "Beth and Jim are the rudest most unkind people I have ever met to run a business." The reviewer further elaborated that they felt they were treated poorly, possibly due to not being perceived as wealthy ("common folk who are not Millionaires and that bothers them I think"). This is a serious accusation and a significant point for local users to consider when looking for "camping near me" where they would hope to be treated with respect and kindness.
Given these two reviews, which both focus on negative interactions with the management during the booking process or regarding their demeanor, it is challenging to objectively describe the environment, services, or features of Willey Brook Campground based solely on this information. The reviews do not provide details about the physical layout of the campground, the types of campsites available (e.g., tent, RV), any amenities offered (like restrooms, showers, fire pits, hookups), or the surrounding natural environment.
For local users specifically searching for "camping near me" that is family-friendly or accommodating to those with multiple pets, these reviews serve as a cautionary note. While the campground may indeed have certain positive aspects not mentioned in these particular reviews, the experiences shared by these individuals regarding booking and customer service are important to take into account.
Without any positive feedback or descriptions of the campground's attributes, it is impossible to provide a balanced introduction covering the environment, services, and features in a positive light. The available information predominantly points to potential issues with booking policies and customer interactions.
Therefore, for local users considering Willey Brook Campground as a "camping near me" option, it would be prudent to approach with awareness of these recent experiences. If you have specific needs, such as traveling with children or multiple pets, it might be beneficial to inquire very clearly about the campground's policies upfront. You may also want to seek out additional reviews from other sources to get a broader perspective on what to expect.
In conclusion, while Willey Brook Campground is located in Wolfeboro, NH, and thus could be a "camping near me" option for locals, the available reviews raise concerns about booking experiences and customer service. Potential guests, especially those with families or multiple pets, should be mindful of this feedback when considering this campground for their local camping needs. Further research and perhaps direct communication with the campground, keeping the feedback in mind, would be advisable to make an informed decision.

Willey Brook Campground Reviews
Was looking for a place to bring my camper to over the weekend to meet some family locally. When I called to make a reservation, she said she heard my toddler in the background and has nothing available for kids. I asked if they allow kids, was told that they do allow kids, but don’t have any entertainment for them. I said, that is fine, we are just looking for a place to stay overnight and will be with family throughout the day. She asked how many people would be in my party. I said my wife, toddler, and I and our three dogs. Her response was “oh no that is way too much….” I quickly just said, okay, have a good day and hung up….I have been camping with the same amount of people and pets for years and never been told something like that. Mind blown. Good luck staying in business while being so bitter and uptight.
May 19, 2024 · John DelsantoBeth and Jim are the rudest most unkind people I have ever met to run a business. They have been rude and mean to us. We are just common folk who are not Millionaires and that bothers them I think.
Jul 13, 2019 · James PorterReally pretty, peaceful, no frills campground. We are full-time RVers so stay in a lot of places. Although this was lovely, we’ll never stay here again! Beth, the manager, is quite rude and lacks customer service skills. My brother and family joined us with their rig and said the same.Too many nice places to stay to put up with RUDE owners.
Oct 09, 2023 · JACQUELYN WEBBERI'm a neighbor and I stopped by to search for my missing cat since he loves checking out RV's. I was instantly greeted by Beth who was a friendly, kind and caring person. What a pleasure to meet her! The campground was beautiful.
Nov 05, 2023 · Sheila ZThis is my third year at Willey Brook Campground. I love it here, the campground is beautiful and I adore Beth and Jim the owners. It is a quiet community with easy access to the Town of Wolfeboro, and beautiful lakes. It is a great get away and a little piece of heaven to me.
