Willow Flat Campground Reviews
First time visiting Willow Flats for us. We stayed on the walk in loop. The river running through is breathtaking. We loved the site we were in. The camphosts make rounds about every hour but it didn't bother us. I felt like they were easy to approach and ask questions. We had our dog and it was pet friendly. The hikes were beautiful. We did have some noisy neighbors that were very loud until 1 am the second night we were there but the camp host took care of that. There are water spigot about every 2 campsites which was very handy. We will be coming back again.
Aug 12, 2024 · Kylie JacksonWe really enjoy camping here. Love getting away from city noise and listening to the sound of the river that flows through the camp. There is a .8 mile hike to were the water comes from the mountain.
May 29, 2024 · G. B.We LOVE Willow Flat! This was our second time, and we will be coming back at least yearly. Bathrooms are clean and smell clean! Campsites are roomy and gorgeous. Camp management is friendly. We hiked the trail to the springs, this is a must! Make sure you go past the sign for the trail to the lake (about 40 yards) and go all the way to the springs.
Aug 10, 2021 · Abare EckleySORRY, LONG REVIEW AHEADMy husband and I love Willow Flat, and we look forward to coming up for our yearly camping trips. However, very rude camp host (there are a few but we only had an encounter with one). The first thing that happened was at 6:45 in the morning, he decided to blow an air horn to scare the cows away that were near the campground. You know, the cows that were peacefully and quietly grazing and have as much right to be there as we do. We had a lot of unhappy campers that morning Mind you, this is someone who is supposed to reinforce noise ordinances. The second incident was when a bunch of people in our group went to go on our four wheeler ride. We had just gotten outside the campground and were waiting for the rest of our group when said camp host pulls up on his golf cart and told one of our people that he was driving too fast. Which I understand, it can be dangerous to speed through there as there are a lot of people, especially kids, who can appear from any corner. But the way he approached our group member was extremely hostile and aggressive and just otherwise very unnecessary. Like I said, I understand but you there was no reason for him to be as rude as he was. But then, he rode back to camp and complained about him to our group! Like they could do anything about it. It’s like he just needed something to be mad about. Enough for the negative though. It’s a nice, well maintained campground with flushing toilets and working sinks. And the views are just gorgeous. Listening to the river all night is so relaxing. Lots of fun trails to ride or hike on. In my personal opinion, this campground is worth coming to, despite the mean camp host. Just be aware that that might be something that you have to deal with.
Aug 21, 2023 · Val WiserWe loved this campground! It was easy to get to. The setting was stunning and there was tons to do. There are atv trails, hiking trails, and a beautiful river to fish. We will be going back!
