While it may be an older campground undergoing periodic updates, its serene environment and friendly atmosphere, coupled with some unique features, make it a noteworthy choice for local camping enthusiasts.
The environment of Wooded Acre Campground is a key aspect highlighted in the customer reviews. The name itself, "Wooded Acre Campground," suggests a setting characterized by an abundance of trees, providing shade, privacy, and a sense of immersion in nature. One reviewer explicitly mentions that it is "away from any towns," emphasizing the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the campground. In terms of services, the information available provides some insights, although not exhaustive details. The check-in process is reported to be smooth, indicating an efficient and welcoming start to your camping stay. Regarding electrical hookups, one reviewer noted that there were "not as many electric hookups for non 30a plugs," but they did manage to find one. This suggests that while 30-amp service might be more prevalent, other types of electrical connections may be available, albeit potentially limited. It is advisable for campers with specific electrical needs to inquire about availability when making reservations. A significant point to note is the absence of septic hookups at the individual campsites. However, the campground offers a "honey wagon" service for waste removal, providing a convenient solution for RV campers. Additionally, a dump station is available on-site for those who prefer to manage their waste disposal independently. This information is crucial for RV owners to consider when planning their stay.
One of the standout features mentioned in the reviews is the sense of community and the activities offered. A camper enthusiastically shared that they "had a blast at cornhole tournament!" The combination of a peaceful environment and opportunities for social interaction can create a well-rounded camping experience. The affordability of the camping prices is also highlighted as a significant advantage, making it an accessible option for a wider range of campers.
While the campground is described as "old" and "getting updates periodically," this suggests that the owners are committed to improving the facilities over time. This ongoing effort to maintain and upgrade the campground can be a positive sign for future visitors. The fact that a reviewer stated they "would share it with friends" speaks volumes about their positive experience, indicating a level of satisfaction and trust in the campground's offerings and environment. The quiet and peaceful ambiance, coupled with the affordability and friendly community, seem to outweigh any potential drawbacks of an older facility for many campers.

The check-in process went smoothly. Not as many electric hookups for non 30a plugs ,but we did find one. Wish we could have stayed longer! Had a blast at cornhole tournament! Really nice people at affordable camping prices.
May 21, 2024 · Herbenero HelleIt's an old campground that is getting updates periodically. Away from any towns. Very quiet and peaceful. Would share it with friends. There is no septic hook up but will honey wagon. Or you can go to dump station.
May 13, 2023 · Paula Quenzer Ortiz DiazWould not recommend this campground. Barely can get ahold of anyway.Paid for a site for 2 nights with Electricity. Was there for a friends wedding ceremony and reception. First night was fine. Second night came back early morning from a family outing and no electricity at all. Tried to flip the breaker multiple times. Only had two small fans going to circulate air in the tent. We packed up tent and all at 3 am in the morning. We were livid. Called the manager to let them know what happened. Want our money back for at least the second night. If not the whole experience. Manager is nice but the campground needs some updates. No bathrooms no showers. Everything is rundown. Will not be back again. Get what you pay for I guess.
Sep 15, 2024 · Jonathan FrakesWe decided to go camping last minute for Fathers Day weekend and everywhere else was booked. Seen quite a few negative reviews for this place so we were worried but still decided to give this place a shot because we really needed a vacation. I will admit, this place was lacking on amenities like shower houses/restroom facilities but we have camped primitive before and they still had the water and electric hook ups. We had an overall good experience. My husband loves to pick his own site and the lady, who registered us, had cut the grass on an entire empty lot so we could choose whatever spot suited us. From other reviews we thought this campground would be a party campground at night, but it was quiet and peaceful, we had not one single issue the whole 2 nights we stayed. The guy who owns the place also was super nice to us and it definitely made us feel comfortable. This is why we don't judge a book by a few negative reviews. I wish someone would invest in this place and family that owns it, it has so much potential. We are definitely willing to stay another weekend in the future.
Jun 17, 2024 · Jessica CarterNever again! I will say Lynn was very nice. The whole campground needs a LOT of serious updating! No restrooms just porta potty’s, no showers, our site had a picnic table that was a big piece of concrete and two slabs of wood to sit on. The wood was falling apart and pieces of it were peeling apart. I was told it was $22.95 a night. Totally fine with that. Got there to check in and was told it’s $5 more per night for electricity… and that we will need an adapter to have said electricity. For $10 deposit up front. We’re supposed to get that money back but we left before our second nights stay because upon arrival from a family outing we had no electricity! The only thing we had left on was a couple desk fans to circulate air as it was almost 86° and sunny. Didn’t want to come back to an oven tent. I can see this is a small family type camp ground but take some pride in it!!! I will never return! also…getting a camper and making that park our seasonal is 1000% out of the question now for sure!!! Extremely disappointed ☹️
