Brazos River RV Park Introduce
For local users in the Waco, Texas area searching for "RV parks near me" with a focus on natural beauty and river access, Brazos River RV Park, located at 1055 River Rd, presents an appealing option. Reachable at (254) 829-1470 or +1 254-829-1470, this "nice little camping park" offers a unique setting directly along the Brazos River. Based on recent customer feedback, the park boasts a wonderful location with opportunities for river-based activities and benefits from helpful and friendly ownership. However, it's important to note some considerations regarding the cleanliness and condition of the bathroom facilities.
The environment of Brazos River RV Park is a significant draw, with its prime location "along the Brazos River" and "with easy access to the river." This riverside setting provides a natural and scenic backdrop for camping and offers opportunities for various water-related activities. One reviewer specifically mentioned enjoying "fishing, paddling up and down the River, and floating in the river," highlighting the direct access and appeal for those who enjoy being on or near the water. The presence of trees, as indicated by the "wonderful RV site nestled up into the trees great shade especially in the 100° heat," suggests a partially wooded environment that offers relief from the Texas sun, making it a comfortable option even during warmer months.
In terms of services, the information is somewhat limited. One positive aspect highlighted is the helpfulness and friendliness of the owner, who is described as "super helpful and friendly." This personal touch in management can significantly enhance the guest experience, providing assistance and creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, one area of potential concern mentioned in a review is the condition of the bathrooms. The reviewer noted that they "wish they had cleaner, more updated bathrooms," describing them as "kinda rustic & the floors weren't clean." This suggests that while the natural setting and owner's demeanor are positive, the restroom facilities may be an area needing improvement. Information regarding other essential services such as hookups for water, electricity, and sewer at the RV sites, as well as waste disposal facilities, is not explicitly provided in the reviews. Local users should inquire about these specifics when contacting the park.
The features of Brazos River RV Park that stand out are its location and the natural setting. The easy access to the Brazos River is a major feature, allowing guests to readily engage in activities like fishing, paddling, and floating. The availability of shaded RV sites, nestled among trees, is another significant benefit, particularly during the hot Texas summers. The "nice little camping park" description suggests a more intimate and perhaps less developed setting compared to larger, more amenity-rich RV resorts. However, specific details about the size and layout of the RV sites, the presence of picnic tables or fire rings, or other features that might enhance the camping experience are not detailed in the provided reviews. Inquiring about these aspects would be beneficial for potential visitors.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in potential discounts for extended stays, seasonal rates, or any other special offers should contact Brazos River RV Park directly. It's always a good practice to inquire about pricing and any potential cost savings when making a reservation.
Considering the available feedback, Brazos River RV Park offers a compelling location for those seeking a camping experience along the Brazos River in Waco. The easy river access and shaded campsites are significant advantages, particularly for outdoor enthusiasts looking to enjoy water activities and a natural environment. The friendly and helpful owner also contributes positively to the overall experience. However, the noted concerns about the cleanliness and condition of the bathroom facilities should be taken into consideration. Local users who prioritize modern and meticulously clean restrooms may want to inquire further about recent improvements or the current state of these facilities.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" who value a riverside location and a natural setting over potentially more modern amenities, Brazos River RV Park could be a great fit. The opportunity for fishing, paddling, and floating directly from the park is a unique feature that many RVers will appreciate. The shade provided by the trees is also a significant comfort during warmer weather. However, it is essential to weigh these benefits against the reported issues with the bathroom facilities. Perhaps recent improvements have been made, so a direct inquiry with the park management about the current state of all amenities is advisable.
To get a comprehensive understanding of Brazos River RV Park, including the specifics of their RV sites (hookups, size), the current condition of all facilities, and any potential promotions, local users should contact them directly at the provided phone numbers. Asking detailed questions about the park's amenities, policies, and recent updates will help in making an informed decision. It might also be helpful to inquire if there are any photos or additional information available online that could provide a better visual representation of the park and its facilities.
In conclusion, Brazos River RV Park offers a potentially wonderful camping experience along the Brazos River in Waco, Texas, with its prime location, shaded sites, and friendly owner being key highlights. However, the feedback regarding the bathroom facilities suggests that this is an area potential visitors should be aware of and possibly inquire about further. For local users prioritizing river access and a natural setting, Brazos River RV Park is worth considering, with the recommendation to gather more details about the park's amenities and their current condition through direct communication.

Brazos River RV Park Reviews
Wish they had cleaner, more updated bathrooms. Kinda rustic & the floors weren't clean. Otherwise, nice little camping park along the Brazos River.
Mar 24, 2025 · TammyThe Brazos RV Park was a great experience! The location was wonderful with easy access to the river. We had a wonderful RV site nestled up into the trees great shade especially in the 100° heat. The owner was super helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful time fishing, paddling up and down the River, and floating in the river. This is definitely a place that I would visit again.
Sep 02, 2024 · Dawn CooperWe have loved this quiet little RV park. It's so peaceful here. Easy access to the river. I love the way this park is ran. The park manager Shelli is just awesome! She is so on top of things. Plus, I had told her that my husband's job moves us around a lot and she was so understanding when sure enough we had to move in the middle of the month. This park conducts honest business and worked with us, which we have unfortunately ran into some RV parks in the past that don't run the same way and we have lost out on a lot of money because of having to move. So thank you for doing things right and thanks for having us!
Jul 15, 2023 · Amanda SandovalWe lived here for over a year. The best RV park in the area. It is secure and very well maintained. Very convenient location near anything we could need, but far enough out to see some stars and hear the crickets at night! We loved and enjoyed the river so much that we will definitely be back. Husband had the best catch of his life - a 9lb largemouth bass! Shelli, the park manager really looks out for the guests even after you leave! Overall a must stay destination! Until next time!
Apr 06, 2023 · Shereyda SilvaA lovely campground with nice, helpful manager and residents. On the river, a local living there says good fishing. Many trees with shaded campsites. They welcomed us tent camping on a Harley. Nice bathhouse. There are laundry and Rec rooms but we didn't check them out. A little far from the freeway but glad to sleep without freeway noise. We will visit again. Updated September 2021. We did visit again, this time an overnight in our hybrid travel trailer. We had a nice tree shaded site close to the river. This is now our routine stopover when traveling I-35 to or from our home in the Rio Grande Valley of Southwest Texas. Leaving Brazos River at 8 or 9 AM we miss rush hour traffic driving North through Dallas Fort Worth. Beautiful campground. I think when we are returning South in a few weeks we will stay longer.
