Casey's RV Hideaway Introduce
Casey's RV Hideaway, located at 4189 CO-86 in Elizabeth, Colorado (80107, USA), offers a charming option for those searching for 'RV parks near me' seeking a pleasant camping experience. With contact numbers (303) 646-3599 and +1 303-646-3599, this campground provides a welcoming environment for both short and potentially longer stays. Based on the available customer reviews, Casey's RV Hideaway appears to be a well-regarded destination, particularly for weekend getaways from the city.
One reviewer describes Casey's RV Hideaway as a "nice campground" with a friendly staff. The park features 21 sites and charges $45 per night. A notable feature is the bathhouse, which is a short walk from the campsites and offers four private bath stalls, each equipped with a toilet and a push-button shower. The campground also provides water and electric hookups at each site, catering to the basic needs of RV travelers.
An appealing aspect of Casey's RV Hideaway is its location right next to (and seemingly attached to) a rodeo and a park. This proximity offers convenient access to potential entertainment and recreational activities for campers. The presence of a rodeo suggests seasonal events that could be a unique draw for visitors, while the adjacent park likely provides space for outdoor activities and relaxation.
Another reviewer echoes the sentiment of Casey's RV Hideaway being a beloved choice for "a last-minute weekend getaway from the city." They consistently find the sites and restrooms to be clean, which is a significant factor for many RV travelers. This positive feedback reinforces the impression of a well-maintained and cared-for campground.
However, this reviewer also raises an important point of caution regarding the campground's proximity to the adjacent baseball fields. They note that during games, individuals from the baseball fields frequently ask campers for the access code to the restroom doors. More concerningly, they recount an incident where an adult man, identified as an umpire at a softball tournament, attempted to persuade their young daughter to give him the codes. This incident highlights a potential security concern related to the shared access or the perception of shared access to the campground's facilities by individuals not staying at the RV park. While the campground itself seems safe and pleasant, the interaction with people from the adjacent facilities requires vigilance, especially for families with children.
Despite this security concern, the overall tone of the reviews is positive, emphasizing the cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location of Casey's RV Hideaway. The availability of private bath stalls in the bathhouse is a notable amenity that can enhance the comfort and convenience of a camping trip.
For those searching for 'RV parks near me' for a short escape from urban life, Casey's RV Hideaway in Elizabeth, Colorado, appears to offer a tranquil and well-maintained setting. The limited number of sites (21) might contribute to a more intimate and less crowded camping experience. The reasonable nightly rate of $45 also makes it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers.
The provision of water and electric hookups caters to the basic needs of most RVs, allowing for a comfortable stay. The proximity to a rodeo and a park adds potential for entertainment and recreation without requiring extensive travel. The positive remarks about the friendly staff further enhance the appeal of Casey's RV Hideaway as a welcoming destination.
However, the incident involving the umpire seeking restroom codes from a child is a serious issue that potential visitors should be aware of. It underscores the importance of being cautious about sharing access codes with non-campers and perhaps suggests that the campground management might need to review their security protocols regarding restroom access, especially when adjacent facilities are in use. Campers should be prepared to politely decline requests for restroom codes from individuals they do not know and should educate their children about not sharing such information with strangers.
In conclusion, Casey's RV Hideaway in Elizabeth, Colorado, offers a "nice campground" experience with friendly staff, clean facilities, and essential water and electric hookups for a reasonable nightly rate. Its location adjacent to a rodeo and park provides added value for potential entertainment and recreation. It seems particularly well-suited for weekend getaways from the city. However, the reported issue with individuals from the nearby baseball fields seeking restroom access, including a concerning interaction with a child, is a significant factor that potential visitors should be aware of and prepared to manage. Despite this concern, the positive aspects of cleanliness, friendly service, and convenient location make Casey's RV Hideaway a worthwhile consideration for those searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Elizabeth area.

Sep 01, 2022 · DIY Real Estate InvestingWe love this campground for a last-minute weekend getaway from the city. Sites and restrooms are always clean. Beware of people from the adjacent baseball fields. If there is a game, people will always ask you for the code to the restrooms doors. We have even had an adult man try to convince my young daughter to give him the codes. He was an umpire at a softball tournament.
Nov 12, 2024 · Justin MatthewsVery MEAT & POTATOES camp site. Pictures are accurate; shaded spaced out sites. The park backs up to a rodeo and baseball field. Water and power provided each clean site. Quite a bit of road noise but park is quite.1/3 of the park looks like it is occupied by full timers. Nothing interesting or unique about this campground. It is very strange there are no public bathrooms or shower on premises. You have to walk over to the rodeo to go to the bathroom. The whole website talks about the park 1/2 a mile away… that should have been a red flag. Rec room thing is a slab with a roof with 1 full wall and 2 1/2 walls unfinished overlooking a field. I guess it’s more of a shade structure.Overall a step above staying in a Walmart parking lot.
Jul 13, 2022 · JTSmall campground with huge camping sites that are very well maintained. The park is close to a horse arena and baseball park with a large playground for the kids. No sewer but that have a dump station.
May 29, 2021 · comet1996Very over priced for what you get. The rv sites are very unlevel so make sure to bring extra blocks. They do offer a shower but you have to press a button every 2 seconds for the water to stay on. Also we paid for sewer but the site we were at you had to choose between water and electric or sewer because they didn’t set it up on the same side. When we called about this they basically said too bad. If they could get these things fixed I would definitely stay here again. Definitely not worth the price right now though.
