Coquina Crossing Introduce
For local users exploring housing options, including potential "RV parks near me" that might accommodate mobile homes or offer similar community living environments in the Elkton, Florida area, Coquina Crossing, located at 4536 Coquina Crossing Dr, presents itself as a gated community. While the platform category is "RV parks near me," the subject of this introduction is a mobile home park. Therefore, the information provided will focus on its context as a residential community for mobile homes, while still being relevant to users exploring various housing possibilities in the region.
The available customer reviews for Coquina Crossing offer contrasting perspectives on the community and its management. One potential resident recounts a frustrating experience when attempting to visit the park to gather information. According to this account, the guard at the entrance requires appointments for entry. Upon calling the provided phone number to inquire, the potential resident explained they were not looking to move for a year but wished to see the inside of the park and get a feel for the community. The response from the person answering the phone was reportedly unhelpful, suggesting it would not be beneficial to view homes at that time due to potential changes in prices and interest rates within a year. Despite the caller's desire to simply tour the community, they were allegedly directed to the website instead.
This potential resident expressed disappointment with this interaction, stating that they were hesitant to move into a community where the park manager seemed unwilling to provide a brief tour. They also raised the point that they might have been inclined to purchase a home sooner if they had found something they liked during a visit. The reviewer concluded by expressing concern that if the manager was perceived as "too lazy" to show them around, it might reflect negatively on the overall living experience within the park. This account highlights a potential barrier to entry for prospective residents and raises questions about the accessibility and welcoming nature of the community from a management perspective.
In contrast to this negative experience with the initial inquiry process, another reviewer who visited an aunt living in Coquina Crossing offers positive feedback about the community itself. They describe the residents as "sweet and friendly" and specifically mention the "indoor and outdoor pools" as being "great fun!" This suggests that the community fosters a positive social environment among its residents and offers appealing recreational amenities. The presence of both indoor and outdoor pools indicates a commitment to providing year-round leisure options for residents, regardless of the weather.
Based on these two reviews, Coquina Crossing appears to be a gated community with a focus on security and amenities like indoor and outdoor pools. The residents are described as friendly, contributing to a potentially welcoming social atmosphere. However, the experience of the potential resident attempting to visit raises concerns about the management's approach to inquiries and the initial accessibility of the community for those considering a move. The requirement for an appointment just to enter and the discouragement from visiting without an immediate intent to purchase could be off-putting for individuals in the early stages of their housing search who simply want to explore their options and get a feel for different communities.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Coquina Crossing, local users should contact them directly using the provided phone numbers: (904) 810-5000 or +1 904-810-5000. When calling, it would be beneficial to inquire about:
- The process for arranging a visit to the community for prospective residents who are not yet ready to purchase.
- The types of homes available (owned vs. rented lots, sizes, features).
- The amenities offered to residents, beyond the indoor and outdoor pools, such as clubhouses, fitness centers, or organized activities.
- The fees associated with residency, including lot fees, HOA dues (if applicable), and any other recurring charges.
- The security measures in place within the gated community.
- The general environment and atmosphere of the community.
- Any specific rules or regulations for residents.
- Pet policies and any associated restrictions.
The potential resident who had difficulty arranging a visit mentioned that the Coquina Crossing website is "really nicely done" and includes "virtual tours." Local users who encounter similar challenges in scheduling an in-person visit may find the virtual tours on the website helpful in getting a preliminary sense of the community layout and the types of homes available. However, as the reviewer noted, a website cannot fully convey the feel of a community or the interactions with management and residents.
At this time, there is no information provided regarding any promotional offers or incentives for potential residents. Local users interested in such information should inquire directly with the management when contacting Coquina Crossing. It is possible that they may have specific promotions for new homeowners or seasonal offers.
In conclusion, Coquina Crossing in Elkton, FL, appears to be a gated mobile home community with friendly residents and appealing amenities like indoor and outdoor pools. However, the experience of one potential resident suggests a somewhat restrictive process for visiting the community and a possibly unwelcoming initial interaction with the management regarding informational visits without an immediate intent to buy. Local users considering Coquina Crossing should be aware of this potential hurdle and be prepared to schedule an appointment if they wish to tour the community in person. Exploring the website and virtual tours may provide some initial insights, but direct communication with the management will be necessary to obtain comprehensive information about residency options, fees, amenities, and the overall community environment.

Coquina Crossing Reviews
I called to request information regarding the community Coquina Crossing because the guard at the shack at the entrance doesn’t let anybody in without an appointment. I am quite confused about the attitude of the person who answers the phone at this park. After I told her that I wasn’t ready to move for a year. She came back on the line and said that it wouldn’t be to my benefit to look at the homes in the park today because the prices and interest rates would be different in a year. I explained that I wanted to see the inside of the park and drive around and kind of get a feel for it, but still she persisted and said I should just go on their website and look there. I honestly don’t want to move into a place like this where the park manager can’t be bothered to show me around for 30 minutes to see this place. the website is really nicely done and they have virtual tours up there, but I can’t get a feel for the community on a website. I feel like if this manager is too lazy to show me around then why would I wanna live there in the first place and what’s to say that I wasn’t going to just buy a place while I was here. I said I wasn’t ready to move in for a year, but if I saw something that I liked, I could very well have purchased it.

Dec 16, 2019 · Gary HerdmanGated communityThis is NOT a trailer park..Every amenity you could want or need.Exceptionally active community for activitiesGreat sense of friendshipthroughoutThe HOA?People want to complain, but look ANYWHERE else and then you will realize that this facility is the MOST reasonable around
Jun 25, 2023 · William AdamsMy parents enjoy it here and I enjoy visiting. The grounds are okay; it could use a lot more plants. It's mostly just boring-old grass with a few bushes. The lakes (lagoons?) are plentiful and have decent fishing. It's nice to wake up, walk for 5 minutes, and have your rod in the water at 6am.
