Stagecoach RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Stagecoach RV Park, a well-established option when searching for "RV parks near me" in the historic city of St. Augustine, Florida. Located at 2711 CR 208, St. Augustine, FL 32092, USA, Stagecoach RV Park has been serving travelers since 1985, offering spacious sites and a range of amenities for a comfortable and convenient stay. Our park provides a solid foundation for exploring the local attractions and enjoying the Florida sunshine.
Spacious and Well-Planned Sites:
One of the standout features of Stagecoach RV Park, as highlighted by our guests, is the generous size of our RV sites. Reviewers have noted that the sites are "plenty large for everything we saw come in," easily accommodating a variety of RV sizes. While some minor leveling adjustments may be needed, the overall terrain is reported to be "pretty level." This ample space ensures you have room to spread out and enjoy your outdoor living area. Furthermore, the original layout from 1985 is described as "well planned," contributing to the ease of navigating and setting up camp.
Full Hookups and Essential Amenities:
Stagecoach RV Park offers the convenience of full hookups at each site, including water, electricity, and sewer connections. Additionally, cable TV is provided, allowing you to stay connected and entertained during your stay. The presence of "shade trees between pretty much all sites" is another appreciated feature, offering respite from the Florida sun and creating a more comfortable outdoor environment. While one review mentioned that the hookups are located towards the rear of the sites, potentially requiring longer utility connections, the availability of full services is a significant advantage.
Recreational Activities and Pet-Friendly Features:
For those looking for on-site activities, Stagecoach RV Park offers a variety of options to keep you entertained. Guests can enjoy a game of basketball or volleyball, try their hand at corn hole or horseshoes, or engage in a friendly match of table tennis. A dedicated "dog park" is also available, making it a welcoming destination for travelers with pets. This thoughtful amenity allows your furry companions to exercise and socialize in a safe and designated area.
Camp Office and Additional Conveniences:
The camp office at Stagecoach RV Park provides additional conveniences for guests. You'll find "a few items for sale" for those last-minute needs. A unique feature is the lending "library you can borrow from," offering a relaxing way to pass the time. Furthermore, the park allows for package delivery, which can be particularly useful for longer stays.
Friendly and Helpful Staff:
The staff at Stagecoach RV Park consistently receive high praise for their friendliness and helpfulness. One reviewer noted that the "office staff were extremely nice both on the phone and in person." This positive interaction contributes significantly to the overall welcoming atmosphere of the park, ensuring a pleasant experience from booking to departure.
Strategic Location with Easy Access:
Stagecoach RV Park benefits from a strategic location near St. Augustine. While situated on CR 208, it offers convenient access to nearby amenities and attractions. Notably, the "new Bass pro and Bucky’s is one exit up" on I-95, providing easy access to shopping and fuel. Additionally, guests can utilize "back roads to get there," potentially offering a less congested route. This proximity to essential services and major roadways makes Stagecoach RV Park a practical choice for both short layovers and longer stays.
Considerations for Modern Rigs and Local Infrastructure:
It's important to note a couple of points raised by recent guests. One reviewer mentioned that "the roads are narrow though and the turns could be widened as it's tough navigating a modern rig through the park." Additionally, they pointed out that "the sites are short," although the ability to park next to your rig helps mitigate this. Another consideration is the location of the hookups, which are "far to the rear in the sites, so you need long utility connections."
Furthermore, ongoing "construction at 16" and some early morning "road traffic" were mentioned as potential drawbacks. Specifically, the intersection of SR 16 and I-95 south presented a significant challenge for a 65-foot rig due to concrete barriers and limited turning space. While this road construction is beyond the control of Stagecoach RV Park, it's an important factor for travelers with very large RVs to be aware of, potentially requiring the use of the northern interchange to access I-95 south.
Areas for Potential Improvement:
One guest noted that while the park is "fine," it is "a bit dated" and suggests "room for modernization and improvement." They also mentioned the limited number of amenities, specifically the absence of a playground or pool. While Stagecoach RV Park offers a range of recreational activities, families with young children might miss a dedicated play area, and those seeking to cool off during the Florida heat might desire a pool.
Overall Recommendation:
Despite some areas for potential modernization and the external factor of road construction on SR 16, Stagecoach RV Park remains a "gem" and a recommended option for those seeking "RV parks near me" in St. Augustine. The spacious, shaded sites with full hookups, coupled with the friendly staff and convenient location near local amenities, make it a solid choice for a layover or for exploring the historic city and surrounding areas. The availability of a dog park and various recreational activities adds to its appeal.

Stagecoach RV Park Reviews
We normally do not do private campground but we lucked up to stay here. Sites are plenty large for everything we saw come in. Pretty level with minor adjustments for us. Full hook up with cable. There are shade trees between pretty much all sites. A dog park, basketball, volleyball, corn hole, table tennis, and horseshoes. Camp office has a few items for sale and also a library you can borrow from. We learned the layout is the original from 1985 and was well planned. The office staff were extremely nice both on the phone and in person. The new Bass pro and Bucky’s is one exit up but you can take back roads to get there. The only cons to the campground is the construction at 16 and some road traffic that starts early. This place is a gem and I recommend it for anyone needing a layover or just wanting to see the local sites. Would stay here again!
Nov 29, 2024 · Swain KeatonWe stayed here for a week in September 2024. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The people are friendly, and the park is fine, though a bit dated. They do allow packages so that's good. The roads are narrow though and the turns could be widened as it's tough navigating a modern rig through the park. The sites are short, but it helps that you can park next to your rig. The hookups are not conveniently located, but far to the rear in the sites, so you need long utility connections. The dog park is fine, and the laundry reasonable, but there are few amenities to speak of - no playground or pool. This park is "okay" but there is certainly room for modernization and improvement. Also, and this is no fault of Stagecoach, but the construction on 16 is a complete disaster. They didn't leave enough room for a big rig (we are 65 ft. long) to be able to make the turn south onto I-95. We ended up making a left on 16 and driving up to the interchange to the north to get onto I-95 when we left, to be safe. See photo of the turn they expect you to make. Even if we took both lanes, it would have been very tight, as they put up concrete barriers and left zero space for off-tracking.
Sep 09, 2024 · David BottomleySpotless well manicured park with long level packed gravel full hookup sites. Lots of cable and on-air channels and free WiFi that seems pretty zippy! Three full bars on AT&T and Verizon. Good water pressure, nice dog area, propane for sale and concrete patios with real picnic tables! A little pricey for a one nighter however we’d stay here again!
Oct 21, 2024 · Doug ChasickWhat a beautiful park! Plenty of level, wide full hook up sites. Very clean and maintained by a great group of friendly & happy staff. Love that there is a pickup & drop off service to downtown St Augustine. Park is located close to everything you would need during your stay.Reasonably priced. Definitely will come back when in the area
Nov 02, 2024 · Leslie JonesThis RV park is a real gem in St Augustine. It is very well maintained, with beautiful established trees for shade. The sites are very level. It's nice and quiet. There are plenty of dog disposal sites with extra bags. The sites are grassy, mowed and the gravel and paved roads are well maintained. We saw turkey here walking on the grounds. We would absolutely stay here again as the daily rates are very reasonable.
