Crown Cove RV Park Introduce
For local users in the Fort Mill, South Carolina area, and those seeking convenient access to Charlotte, exploring options through the "RV Parks Near Me" platform may lead you to Crown Cove RV Park, located at 8332 Regent Pkwy. This RV park has garnered some positive feedback regarding its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and convenient location. However, it is essential for prospective guests to also be aware of some potential drawbacks mentioned in recent reviews. This introduction aims to provide a balanced overview of Crown Cove RV Park based on the available customer feedback to assist local users in making an informed decision for their RV accommodation needs.
The environment at Crown Cove RV Park is generally described as quiet and clean, which are significant positives for many RV travelers seeking a peaceful and well-maintained setting. One reviewer explicitly mentioned the park being "quiet and clean," suggesting that these are notable aspects of the guest experience. This can be particularly appealing for those looking to escape the noise of urban areas while still maintaining proximity to city conveniences. The overall ambiance seems to prioritize a calm and orderly atmosphere, contributing to a relaxing stay for visitors.
One of the key features highlighted by a long-term resident is the sense of safety within Crown Cove RV Park. This individual, who travels frequently to various parks for work in the film industry, stated that Crown Cove RV Park is "the safest I have felt in any park." This strong endorsement of safety can be a significant factor for local users, especially those considering an extended stay. The reviewer also appreciated the park's policy of conducting background checks for long-term renters, which further contributes to the feeling of security and a well-managed community.
The location of Crown Cove RV Park is also noted as convenient. Its "in-town location" makes it a practical choice for those needing to be in Charlotte, offering relatively easy access to the city's amenities, employment opportunities, and attractions. Additionally, the park is reported to be close to Pineville and Fort Mill, providing even more options for shopping, dining, and other local conveniences. This accessibility to nearby towns and Charlotte makes Crown Cove RV Park a potentially ideal base for exploring the region or for those who need to commute to the city.
In terms of services, one long-term resident specifically praised the current camp host, Peggy, describing her as someone who "goes above and beyond" and is "a super friendly soul." The presence of a helpful and friendly camp host can significantly enhance the guest experience, providing assistance, information, and a welcoming atmosphere. While other specific services like laundry facilities, Wi-Fi availability, or recreational amenities are not detailed in the provided reviews, the positive mention of the camp host suggests a level of on-site support for guests.
However, the reviews also point out some potential drawbacks that local users should consider. One recent review from March 21, 2025, mentions that "interior sites weren't close to level." This could be a significant inconvenience for RV owners, as level parking is crucial for the proper functioning of RV appliances and overall comfort. Campers may need to bring leveling blocks or be prepared to spend time adjusting their RV to ensure it is properly situated on an unlevel site.
The same reviewer also noted a potential issue with the sewer hookup, stating, "Our black/gray tanks were lower than the sewer hook up. It doesn't flow uphill." This is a critical consideration for RVers, as proper drainage of waste tanks is essential for sanitation and hygiene. If the sewer hookup is higher than the RV's waste outlets, it can lead to difficulties in emptying the tanks effectively. Prospective guests should inquire about the specific layout and elevation of the sewer connections at their assigned site to avoid potential problems.
Features of Crown Cove RV Park are not extensively described in the provided reviews. The focus is more on the overall environment (quiet, clean), the perceived safety, the convenient location, and the helpfulness of the camp host. The absence of mentions of specific amenities like a swimming pool, clubhouse, or organized activities does not necessarily mean they do not exist, but it suggests that these were not the primary aspects of the experience highlighted by the reviewers. Local users seeking specific amenities should inquire directly with the park management about their availability.
There is no promotional information included in the provided reviews. Local users interested in potential discounts for longer stays, seasonal rates, or any other special offers should contact Crown Cove RV Park directly using the provided phone numbers: (803) 547-3500 or +1 803-547-3500. When booking, it would also be prudent to inquire about the levelness of specific sites and the configuration of the sewer hookups to ensure they are compatible with your RV setup.
In conclusion, Crown Cove RV Park in Fort Mill, SC, appears to be a generally well-regarded option for local users seeking a quiet and clean RV park with a convenient location near Charlotte and local amenities. The strong sense of safety reported by a long-term resident and the positive feedback about the friendly camp host are significant advantages. However, prospective guests should be aware of potential issues with the levelness of interior sites and the elevation of sewer hookups, as mentioned in a recent review. It is recommended that local users contact the park management directly to inquire about site specifics, available amenities, and any current promotions to ensure that Crown Cove RV Park meets their individual needs and expectations for their RV stay.

Crown Cove RV Park Reviews
Park was quiet and clean. In-town location was convenient if you need to be in Charlotte. Interior sites weren't close to level. Our black/gray tanks were lower than the sewer hook up. It doesn't flow uphill. 3/21/25
Mar 22, 2025 · Judy SimmonsI stayed in the park for a year now and have had quite the pleasant experience overall. It’s quiet, friendly, and I have never experience any issues. I work in the film industry and travel a lot to various parks and I have to say that this is the safest I have felt in any park. They even did a background check on me for long term renting which I appreciated knowing that that is a policy. I stayed next to the current camp host Peggy who goes above and beyond and is a super friendly soul. The park is close to Pineville and Fort Mill and other great nearby amenities for shopping, food, etc. If I ever get sent to the area again for work, this will be my first call.
Dec 13, 2024 · Shawn D. BronsonStrange Vibe and strange rules. This place has two distinct areas the "premium sites" and the uneven, dilapidated, potholed full timer spots for the Riff Raff. The "Premium Section" is distinctly marked off so all the Riff Raff know their place.Premium sites however are soul-less. Just blocks of concrete right next to each other and absolutely no nature at all. A Walmart parking lot is more inviting! The Riff Raff section is actually nicely wooded, however the problems occur with their STRANGE RULES.I actually liked the riff raff area even though my spot was incredibly difficult to back into, on an incline, and a sharp turn. Spot was completely uneven, plus broken up with tree roots and holes.Problem was after taking a long time getting it somewhat level I find out that if I wanted to extend for a month I WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE FOR 48 HOURS THEN COME BACK!!I reserved for a week as I always do when I first get to an area for insurance work to see how good it is and maybe find another park if it's not as described. Completely bizarre background check requirements! Considering I have a brand new 2024 RV, new SUV and a South Carolina insurance license which you could not get with a criminal record! I could not even go week to week without also leaving for 48 hours!Oh and they also won't accept mail or Amazon deliveries so I couldn't order leveling blocks so my rig wouldn't slide down the hill. A 2x6 from Home Depot had to suffice and I was very nervous that first night before I could grab one.Plus looking around at the full time rigs in the Riff Raff section I seriously doubt any of them passed a background check.Place is also overpriced for the amenities or lack thereofSo I just left at the end of my week and went to a nicer place for less money.
Sep 17, 2024 · Kurt SpathStayed here soon our trip to Florida for Thanksgiving. Drove through Charlotte and stopped for the night. We were able to get up and leave by 8 and hit no traffic headed south. It was clean the dogs loved the dog park, and it was easy to get in and out(but a little off the highway). Highly recommend. The map we used to navigate the park was from the internet....use the one from check in they put arrows to show where to go. Also there is a back driveway to get out.
Jan 02, 2025 · David GrahamI've been trying to camp at this site for 6 months. I've been given several different excuses as to why I was being turned away. 1st it was because the vehicle I was towing with (I have a new vehicle). Then there was a hold on accepting long-term campers (I can accept that). Then I made a reservation, paid the deposit, got a call from the manager the next day that she was cancelling and refunding my deposit because my camper "wouldn't fit" the spot selected (I let the representative pick the spot based on the length). When I called, I asked for the first available week that I could camp with my size camper. Now I call back, and I'm told that I've been blacklisted because my wife left an unflattering review on another website. The comments and statements made by my wife were determined to be "unflattering and untrue". Rather than proving my wife's review wrong, this place decided to blacklist us and prove her 100% correct. There is a reason why there are so many 1-star reviews. The manager! She acts like a power-hungry, petulant, child who would rather be in control rather than make money for the facility. Regardless her role with the company or ownership, they should still let her go. Unfortunately for me, there are only a handful of long-term camping options for camping in this area, otherwise I would not bother writing a review. I offered to pay 6 months in advance, and I can't even GIVE them my money because the manager has decided that we are unworthy to camp at this facility. Ridiculous! I wish I could give a 0-star review. I'd love a call from ownership, but I doubt it'll ever happen. They have my phone number and can call me any time.
