Drift Creek Landing Reviews
The people here are pleasant and helpful. We keep to ourselves, we don't have any problems. Beautiful view.
Jul 02, 2018 · Ana-Maria GlicaI have lived here for three years now and truly feel blessed. The views of the river are exceptional! I have also had no problems with any of the residents who live there. The owners of the park are committed to making the park even better and have treated me very well since moving there.
Jul 22, 2017 · Keith JohnsonWe liked it. Really Handy. good fishing. It's just sad. That ya go up River. And it's lined with people in house's. With docks and boats. That are totally afraid of moving water. And that they are the only ones allowed on the river. And act like rats. Cleanging to a log. Don't splash boohoo
Sep 29, 2019 · Papa Joe DodsonWe decided to camp here because it was one of the only places that allowed monthly tent camping, the rate was good for electric and wifi. What a mistake! Upon entering the campground/rv park we were horrified at the grungy condition of the majority of the rv's parked there, we contemplated turning around and going somewhere else. We were literally scared to let our 12 year old daughter out of our sight, at first. We've traveled the country for a year and have never seen a park with such disgusting trailers parked in it. I will guarantee you that there are at least a handful of trailers there for the sole purpose of cooking meth! We had two experiences there of hearing/witnessing domestic violence. We ended up staying because we had driven 3 hours to get there, it was late and we didn't have a lot of options on a Friday. It did have one redeeming quality, the view of the forest and Alsea river. So we set up camp, faced our tent away from the nasty view and decided to focus on the river view. I have to say that the owner, Karen and the Assistant Manager, Donna, were a delight, friendly, receptive and accomodating. After meeting them, we did decide that we would stay for as long as it felt right so we could explore the coast and decide where to go next. After a week of peace and tranquility, our camping experience was RUDELY interrupted by the arrival of the Manager, Deena who had just come back from vacation. She was abrasive and simply nasty in her approach, tone and demeanor. We got the impression that she was simply agaist tent campers and just wanted us gone. When we went to book a second week, she started telling us they were full and making all kinds of excuses that were simply not true. They had plenty of space available, it's not like people are beating there doors down to tent camp here! If you are a tent camper DO NOT go here!We had 2 run in's with this horrible Manager in the 30 days that we stayed there. We were clean, respectful and quiet, keeping to ourselves for the most part. There was one incident in which, again, she came at us (a group of us having a good time, admittedly loud but an hour before the official quiet time) with a nasty, agressive, demanding attitude. She was rude and disrespectful and completely unprofessional. She makes emotional decisions and assumptions without caring or having a willingness to communicate, preferring to be right instead of seeing or hearing the truth. She simply lies and is quite honestly, the definition of a BULLY. I am amazed that this person still has a job and we are not the only ones. We spoke with a handful of residents there who felt the same way. She should be fired and they should hire a Manager who has the ability to manage with diplomacy and an ability to not allow their emotions to influence their decisions. I have had manageral positions in the past and would certainly have been let go if I treated a customer the way that Deena treated us. This is the type of person that can ruin a business! In the 12 months that we've traveled the US, camping in 26 states, we have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully, have always had pleasant experiences with park rangers, hotel managers, camp hosts etc...this was a FIRST and we will NEVER go back and will let every traveler we meet, to STAY AWAY. It's a shame, because we did meet some lovely, kind and compassionate people while we were there, that frankly, had changed our opinion about the place and would have inspired us to give this place a better rating, but Deena was NOT one of them and this negative review is COMPLETELY her responsibility. We left there with a bad memory instead of a good one, all because of the way that she chose to handle herself.
Sep 10, 2016 · Shannon ColemanThe Drift Creek RV Park has really turned around since the new owners took over, had a wonderful time there last September and look forward to going back in August this time. Plan to do more antiquing in the local area… Had some wonderful finds last year as well as some great fishing!
