Fairlawn Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Dunbar, West Virginia area, Fairlawn Park, located at 2701 Fairlawn Ave Office, Dunbar, WV 25064, USA, is a location that appears to offer a welcoming environment for RV travelers. While its listed address includes "Office," suggesting it might also handle mobile home rentals, the positive reviews from customers highlight its suitability as an RV park. Let's explore what makes Fairlawn Park a potential choice for your RV stay, based on the available feedback.
Situated on Fairlawn Avenue in Dunbar, West Virginia, Fairlawn Park benefits from its convenient location. According to one reviewer, it is "right down the road from plenty of stores and restaurants," which is a significant advantage for RV travelers looking for easy access to amenities. Dunbar is a city in Kanawha County, West Virginia, located along the Kanawha River, near Charleston. This suggests that Fairlawn Park might offer a blend of a community feel with the accessibility of urban resources.
The reviews from individuals who have stayed at Fairlawn Park in their RVs are overwhelmingly positive, particularly regarding the management and the overall environment. One reviewer who stayed for about two months with their husband describes the manager as "very courteous and helpful." They also note that "the water is clean and clear and the grass is maintained well," indicating attention to the upkeep of the park's grounds and utilities. Furthermore, they found the full-time residents to be "very friendly" and reported feeling "never...unsafe at anytime." This paints a picture of a well-managed, clean, and friendly community.
Another reviewer who had their RV at Fairlawn Park for a year while working as a travel nurse also had a positive experience. They found it to be a "very nice and quite place to stay" and described the "lot manager" as "super nice." Importantly, they stated they "never had any problems with management or neighbors" and would "definitely recommend and stay again." This long-term positive experience further reinforces the idea that Fairlawn Park is a reliable option for RVers in the area.
One of the reviewers also makes an important distinction, suggesting that those who might have left negative feedback might be unfairly comparing Fairlawn Park to a "campsite instead of a rv park." This implies that Fairlawn Park offers the infrastructure and services expected of an RV park, which can often include full hookups (water, electric, sewer), maintained grounds, and a sense of community, rather than the more rustic or basic offerings of a traditional campsite.
Based on these positive testimonials, we can infer the following potential services and features at Fairlawn Park relevant to RV travelers:
- Well-maintained grounds, including grass.
- Clean and clear water supply.
- A courteous and helpful on-site manager.
- A quiet and friendly community atmosphere.
- Convenient location with easy access to stores and restaurants in Dunbar.
- Likely offers rental rates that are competitive for the area, as mentioned as "the best rental rates around here." While this comment was in the context of a two-month stay, it suggests overall affordability.
While the reviews do not explicitly detail the types of hookups available (e.g., 30/50 amp electric, sewer), the fact that RVers have stayed for extended periods and recommend the park suggests that necessary utilities are likely provided. When contacting Fairlawn Park, it would be advisable to inquire about the specifics of their RV sites, including the availability of full hookups, the rates for RV stays (daily, weekly, monthly), and any other amenities they might offer to RV guests.
In terms of promotional information, the reviews themselves act as strong endorsements, highlighting the courteous management, clean environment, friendly community, and convenient location. The mention of "the best rental rates around here" is also a significant promotional point, suggesting value for money. For local users searching for "RV parks near me," Fairlawn Park appears to be a highly recommended option based on the experiences of other RV travelers.

Fairlawn Park Reviews
Me and my husband have been here about 2 months now and the manager here is very courteous and helpful. The water is clean and clear and the grass is maintained well. You are right down the road from plenty of stores and restaurants. They also have the best rental rates around here. The people who live here full time are very friendly and I have never felt unsafe at anytime. Most of the people that have had anything bad to say are trying to compare it to a campsite instead of a rv park.
Sep 12, 2020 · Rachel BridgesVery nice and quite place to stay. Lot manager super nice. Had my rv here for a year while I worked as a travel nurse and never had any problems with management or neighbors. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Oct 23, 2023 · Cherie OgdenMy wife is a travel nurse and Fairlawn Park is a great place to park your RV or camper. Lot rent is reasonable and owner is nice. Quite place just off the highway with hardly any noise. Would suggest this place to any travel nurses.
Jul 15, 2023 · Jason OgdenI stayed at fair lawn for 2 almost 3 years in a camper. The first year was smooth very quiet no one ever the whole time I was there bothered us. Then we had to move our camper so they could do work on the lot I was on. They were very helpful during that process but then I grew not to like the place. The neighbor right next to me when we moved in told me she was prejudice and that made me very uncomfortable given I have friends and family of all colors and forms. Then on my birthday there was an issue I was unaware of with my septic tanks and instead of calling me to fix the problem the manager of the property took it on himself to fix the problem he didn't tell me what he done or asked before touching my camper he even took part of our pipe without asking. Then claimed he called me when I had signal all day and never received a call. Not long after that there was an issue with a neighbor not keeping their dog on a leash and I had to call to get that resolved. The manager is okay I guess he asked us to rake our leaves once when in the lease it says lawn care is included. Most nights it felt like we were the only ones following the quiet time rules. I would recommend a few other camper lots before fairlawn but if you were staying short term you won't have the same issues we had
Jan 06, 2022 · Porsha WilsonI stored my Beaver motorhome in their rv storage lot. The manager was very easy to work with and helped meet needs I had when I transferred ownership of my motorhome to another owner. Absolutely great experience!
