Gopher Gulch RV & Campground Introduce
Welcome to Gopher Gulch RV & Campground, a facility located at 2343 CO-66 in Longmont, Colorado. For those searching within the category of "RV parks near me," Gopher Gulch offers a camping experience in the scenic landscape of Colorado. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the park based on available information, including customer reviews, to help local users make informed decisions about their camping destinations.
Gopher Gulch RV & Campground can be contacted at (970) 212-0401 or +1 970-212-0401 for inquiries about reservations, availability, and specific services. As an RV park, it caters primarily to recreational vehicles, offering sites equipped with necessary hookups for water, electricity, and potentially sewer. The availability and type of hookups can vary between sites, and it is advisable to confirm these details when making a reservation.
Based on customer feedback, the environment and overall experience at Gopher Gulch appear to have both positive and negative aspects. One recent visitor who stayed overnight expressed a highly favorable impression, noting the considerate nature of the owners. They appreciated the hassle-free late check-in process and the personal touch of the owners introducing themselves and providing guidance on using the winterized water hookup. This positive review also highlighted the cleanliness and niceness of the washrooms and laundry facilities, suggesting that these essential amenities are well-maintained. This customer indicated a strong intention to return for a longer stay in the future.
However, another experienced traveler with ten years in a fifth wheel offered a significantly contrasting review. This guest strongly advised against staying at Gopher Gulch, citing safety concerns due to the presence of wire and screws scattered around various sites. Given that they have a vehicle with twelve tires worth a substantial amount, the potential for flat tires caused by such debris is a serious issue. This review raises questions about the park's maintenance and attention to the safety of the grounds.
Furthermore, the same experienced traveler expressed dissatisfaction with the pricing, stating that the $1,200 charged for a stay of less than two weeks was exorbitant compared to other RV parks they have visited, including those in Florida near the beach. They also mentioned a perceived lack of respect from the staff and noted that stepping out of their camper led directly onto dirt, despite paved roads to the sites. This feedback suggests potential issues with the value proposition of Gopher Gulch and the overall quality of the camping experience for some guests.
Adding to the concerns about the environment, another review highlighted the significant wind gusts experienced at the location, reaching up to 60 or 70 mph during certain times of the year. This extreme weather condition caused a 20,000-pound fifth wheel to shake, disrupted sleep, and even damaged awning covers. The strong winds also made it difficult to open the camper door and, at times, prevented guests from going outside. This review indicates that the location may be susceptible to strong winds, which could impact the comfort and safety of visitors, especially those with larger RVs or during certain seasons.
In terms of services and features, the positive review mentioned clean washrooms and laundry facilities, which are essential for a comfortable RV camping experience. The considerate owners who provided assistance with check-in and hookups suggest a level of personalized service. However, the negative reviews raise concerns about the overall maintenance of the grounds, the responsiveness and respectfulness of the staff (as perceived by one guest), and the potential impact of environmental factors like strong winds.
Promotional information for Gopher Gulch RV & Campground might typically focus on its location in the Longmont area, potentially highlighting proximity to local attractions, natural beauty, or ease of access to nearby cities. They might also emphasize any specific amenities they offer, such as full hookups, Wi-Fi access, a store, or a clubhouse (as mentioned but not visited by one reviewer). However, in light of the mixed reviews, potential visitors should seek detailed information about the current condition of the park, its policies, and any measures taken to address the concerns raised by previous guests.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," Gopher Gulch RV & Campground is an option in Longmont, Colorado. However, the available reviews present a mixed picture. While some guests have appreciated the service and cleanliness, others have raised significant concerns about safety, pricing, staff attitude, and environmental factors like wind and ground conditions. It is crucial for prospective visitors to weigh these different perspectives and potentially contact the park directly to inquire about their current conditions, policies, and pricing.
Before making a reservation, it would be prudent to ask specific questions about site maintenance, measures taken to ensure safety (regarding debris like wires and screws), the average cost per night or week, staff policies on guest interactions, and typical weather conditions during the intended stay. Additionally, inquiring about the availability and functionality of amenities like Wi-Fi, the store, and the clubhouse (if these are important) would be beneficial.
In conclusion, Gopher Gulch RV & Campground offers RV sites in Longmont, Colorado, catering to those searching for "RV parks near me." While some aspects, such as the cleanliness of facilities and the helpfulness of the owners (as reported by one guest), are positive, significant concerns have been raised regarding safety, pricing, staff respectfulness (as perceived by one guest), ground conditions, and strong winds. Potential visitors should carefully consider these factors and conduct further research or direct inquiries to the park to determine if it meets their needs and expectations for an RV camping experience in the Longmont area.

Gopher Gulch RV & Campground Reviews
We only stayed overnight but we will definitely be returning. The owners are very considerate, they ensured our late check in was hassle free and even stopped by to introduce themselves and show us how to use the winterized water hook up. We weren’t able to visit the store or clubhouse since we were in and out so quickly, but the wash rooms and laundry were very nice and clean. We look forward to visiting again for a longer period of time.
Apr 01, 2025 · Holly BakerExperienced travelers for 10 years in a fifth wheel and we do not recommend this location. We found wire and screws all over and around other sites. We have 12 tires all together if you include our truck while pulling our camper which is about $3,000 worth of tires. You would think they would try to clean up wire and screws so others won’t experience a flat tire especially since they’re charging $1,200 for less than 2 WEEKS! Another thing I was not pleased with is their prices. I have never payed $1,200 for less than 2 WEEKS and we have stayed in Florida right next to the beach with zero dirt lol I encourage you to take a look at the RV Park not even a mile from this one. If you want to pay $95 a night and deal with staff that isn’t respectful Gopher Gulch is the place for you. Whenever you walk out of your camper down steps you’re walking straight onto dirt. Which I was surprised because roads to sites are paved.FYI to all travelers the wind gusts up to 60 sometimes 70 mph so consider that whenever you plan your trip at this time of year. Our camper shook back and forth waking us up all night long and tore our awning covers. Our fifth wheel weighs about 20,000 pounds. At times we couldn’t even open our door and if we did it would fly out of our hand and slam against our fifth wheel. We weren’t even able to go outside the majority of the time here. Definitely not worth the money we paid.

Feb 17, 2025 · Aprille DawnThis was an amazing new RV park. It is new so they are still working on the final touches, but if they continue it will be a great stop. We stumbled upon and only stayed over night. Would have loved to spend a week.Clubhouse, bathrooms, showers and laundry were spotless and of course new.Enjoyed the views from west deck of the Rocky’s. Bob and Holly were great hostsWill stay again.
Sep 10, 2024 · Karen PooleWe were the third camper they had and we were highly impressed with every aspect of this campground. Even though they were barely open, we were welcomed by every worker we met. We were evacuated from a campground in Loveland due to fires, and Gopher Gulch came to our rescue! The facilities are gorgeous! The buildings are beautifully designed and decorated, and the pond area is a great spot to fish or just hang out.Once the landscaping has been installed, this campground is going to be stunning. We will definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to other RVers.
