Green Acres Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" or exploring mobile home living options in Aurora, Colorado, Green Acres, located at 1540 Billings St, Aurora, CO 80011, USA, presents a residential community that, based on overwhelmingly negative recent reviews from residents, requires serious consideration and thorough investigation before making any decisions about residing there, whether in a mobile home or an RV for an extended stay.
The available reviews from residents of Green Acres paint a concerning picture of significant and recurring issues with essential utilities, a lack of effective communication from the management (particularly under the new ownership of HavenPark Communities), and frequent rent increases. Multiple residents detail prolonged periods without water, unreliable and often absent office staff, and problems with the power supply. These issues have reportedly caused considerable inconvenience, financial burden, and frustration for the residents.
Several reviewers highlight the frequent and extended water outages as a major problem at Green Acres. One resident who moved in June 2023 reported being without water for four days, receiving no communication from the office until the third day, and even then, the information provided was allegedly false. Drinking water was not provided by the park until the fourth day, forcing residents to purchase their own water for basic sanitation and hydration. This same resident also mentioned a secondary well system that, when activated, causes the water to smell strongly of sulfur, making showering, laundry, and dishwashing unpleasant for days at a time. Disturbingly, this resident updated their review multiple times over nearly a year, consistently reporting ongoing water outages, including instances of being without water for entire weekends and experiencing boil water notices, with the water sometimes appearing brown.
Compounding the utility issues is the reported unreliability of the park's office. Residents frequently mention calling during office hours only to find the door locked and no one answering the phone. This lack of accessibility to management makes it difficult for residents to report problems, seek information, or get timely assistance when issues arise. One particularly concerning incident involved a power outage where residents were unable to reach anyone in the office for communication or guidance. They were forced to pay for a private electrician, who determined the outage was due to a park problem. The resident was allegedly told that the office staff member was sick but chose not to communicate about the park-wide issue, even failing to send out a mass text notification. This lack of communication resulted in spoiled food and an unnecessary $75 expense for the resident, with no offer of rent concession from the park.
The reviews consistently point to a decline in communication and service quality since HavenPark Communities took over management. Residents describe the new management, based in Utah, as "very unavailable," mirroring the inaccessibility of the on-site office. This change in management has also coincided with rent increases, with one resident reporting two rate hikes within the first 14 months of their residency. This combination of declining service and increasing costs has understandably led to significant dissatisfaction among the residents.
Considering the platform category of "RV parks near me," the information presented in these reviews should be a significant deterrent for anyone considering Green Acres for an extended RV stay. Reliable access to water and power are fundamental requirements for RV living, and the consistent reports of outages and poor utility management raise serious concerns. The unresponsiveness of the office and the lack of communication would also create a challenging and frustrating environment for RVers seeking assistance or information. The potential for sulfur-smelling water further detracts from the appeal of this location for RV travelers who rely on clean water for their daily needs.
The absence of any positive reviews or information about specific amenities or services at Green Acres is also notable. Typically, mobile home and RV parks highlight features such as laundry facilities, community areas, pet policies, and security measures. The sole focus of the available feedback on negative experiences with utilities and management suggests that these may be the most pressing issues at this time.
Given the severity and consistency of the complaints, potential residents or extended-stay RVers should exercise extreme caution and likely explore alternative options in the Aurora, Colorado area. The reported issues directly impact the basic necessities and comfort of living and indicate a pattern of mismanagement and neglect. Contacting the provided phone numbers ((720) 547-6160 or +1 720-547-6160) might provide some information from the management's perspective, but it would be prudent to heavily weigh the firsthand accounts of current residents.
In conclusion, while Green Acres is located in Aurora, Colorado, the available online reviews paint a stark picture of frequent and prolonged utility outages (particularly water), unreliable and unresponsive management (especially since the acquisition by HavenPark Communities), poor communication, and increasing rent. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" or considering mobile home living, the experiences shared by current residents strongly suggest that Green Acres may not provide a stable, comfortable, or reliable living environment. Potential residents and RVers are advised to thoroughly consider these serious concerns and likely seek alternative accommodations or residential communities in the area that have a more positive track record of utility management, communication, and resident satisfaction.

Green Acres Reviews
We moved in (2023) June, so we’ve been here a year. Recently we were without water for four days, we received zero communication from the office until the third day, and the information was false. They provided no drinking water until the 4th day. We purchased water so we could flush toilets, wash our hands, and have drinking water, on the third day we got a hotel room to shower, and the park offered no concessions in rent. We called all weekend when the water was off, no one returned calls. We are on a two well system. When the secondary well is turned on our water stinks of sulfur, so showering, laundry, dishes, all become stinky and unpleasant, and this can last for days.We frequently call the office during their office hours and the door is locked and no one answers. We’ve found office hours to be unreliable at best.Yesterday our power went out, we called at 4 pm, no one answered or communicated with us so we paid for an electrician only to find out it was indeed a park problem. I was told that the office person was sick, she got our call but wasn’t going to communicate with us about the problem because she was out, and the included not sending out a text to the park even though they are able to. So we called an electrician and had to pay $75 to find out it’s a park problem. We could have avoided that if the park had texted us. So all our food is bad, we are out $75, and still no concessions in rent.I understand that things break and go wrong, but the complete lack of communication has been costing us money, time, and frustration. This park did have excellent communication until HavenPark Communities bought it- they are in Utah and are very unavailable (much like the office). They are raising our rent as well, the second rate increase since we moved in June of 2023.Updated 9/13/24 to add: we currently have no water, this is the third weekend in a row that we have lost water. We attached communication from the trailer park from the last three weekend outages so you can see for yourself, we’ve heard nothing about this one. The water and poor management is a continuous issue, although they are texting now which is a nice change. Please be aware before moving here.Updated 4/17/25: we still lose water, currently without again. We’ve had a couple of boil notices since the last update as well, screenshot attached. The water that was coming out was brown as you can see in the photo- water remains a consistent issue with this park. Even though it is 10 am on a Friday no one is answering phones or in the office, so we cannot ask if we will have water for the weekend or inquire about them providing water.
Apr 18, 2025 · Amber MalinWe’ve lived here for over a year and we very much wish we would’ve chosen somewhere differently. Over the summer we were without water for days, no one would pick up in the office, water was not brought in for over 48 hours, we could not flush or take showers for 3-4 days. Shortly after that the power went down, again no one answers in the office, a $75 emergency electrician tells us it’s a park issue, they fix it next day- but at not point do they communicate with us.Today we are again without water. When we called the emergency maintenance line and they told us to call a plumber- even though the entire park is without water again. No one in the office, maintenance tells us to call a plumber, and no running water. This seems to be the normal under the new management. They’ve also raised the rent twice in 14 months. If you enjoy regular showers, the ability to flush your toilet, power everyday, and basic communication this is not the place to you.
Aug 31, 2024 · Makayla MalinI have lived here for over ten years now. Seen managers good and bad. The current manager Robbie H., is a fair and honest person. If she can't help, she tries to put you in touch with someone who can. She reminds me of Darlene, who was here when I first moved here. Excellent work. Job well done. I appreciate it greatly.👍👌☺️
May 06, 2024 · Cheryl “Giggles” PerazzoWater issues again without notice, when contacting their customer service department you get rude people who keep cutting you off and don’t allow you to talk.
Apr 18, 2025 · Steve.OBeen here 6 years now and every year rent has been raised at least $80. This year it will go up $115. Water is always turned off. Can’t run your swamp cooler in 90’ weather. No one takes care of their yards. You used to not be allowed to park on the street now you can bearly get thru with cars parked on both sides. Carports are packed with trash appliances broken furniture car parts. Nobody enforces the regulations and they wants more money ? For what. It is run down and over priced for the amenities you don’t get. No pool no play ground no basketball or tennis court no gathering picnic area no nice landscaping anywhere. It never would have gotten this way had Darlene still been here. I will not invite anyone to my home because I am embarrassed of the condition of this park. The clubhouse is awful. Would never even consider using it. Don’t ask for something to be fixed such as your carport or carport cover . It just won’t happen. If you’re looking for a nice place for your mobile home needs it’s not here. Go across the street . They have everything.
