Kelley's RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Coos Bay, Oregon area, Kelley's RV Park, located at 555 S Empire Blvd, Coos Bay, OR 97420, USA, presents itself as a community with dedicated ownership. You can reach them at (541) 888-6531 or their mobile number +1 541-888-6531 for inquiries. Based on the limited customer reviews available online, Kelley's RV Park appears to be under active management striving to create a positive environment, particularly for long-term residents, while also offering a convenient location and reasonable amenities. However, it's important to consider all aspects of the feedback provided.
One reviewer from the past expresses a positive outlook on the ownership, stating, "GREAT OWNERS. THEY ARE WORKING VERY HARD TO MAKE THE PARK A NICE PLACE TO STAY AS A PERMANENT RESIDENT." This indicates a commitment from the management to improving the park and fostering a good living environment for those who reside there long-term. However, this positive sentiment is immediately followed by a more current and critical observation: "Not so great now. Rent is ridiculous for such a small space." This suggests a potential shift in the perceived value of the park, possibly due to increasing rental costs relative to the size of the RV spaces. This is a significant point for potential long-term residents to consider and investigate further.
Another reviewer offers a more detailed and balanced perspective. They specifically mention the owner, Andy, as "a nice guy" who takes pride in maintaining the grounds by keeping them "mowed and picked up." This reinforces the idea of active and caring management. A notable feature highlighted by this reviewer is the thorough background checks conducted by the owner, which they consider "nice, especially when you have kids." This suggests a focus on safety and creating a secure community environment. The reviewer also praises the prices as "very reasonable" and points out the park's location "right across from the bay," indicating potential access to waterfront views or activities. The availability of laundry facilities with machines costing only "$1" is also mentioned as a positive amenity.
However, this same reviewer also includes a "fair warning" regarding security, advising against leaving valuables outside, particularly for those parked close to the street. They clarify that this is "no fault of the owner" but rather a general characteristic of the "area/town of Coos Bay" and "comes with the territory." This is an important piece of local knowledge for potential residents to be aware of, suggesting a need for caution regarding personal belongings.
Considering these reviews, the environment of Kelley's RV Park appears to be one where the owners are actively involved in maintenance and fostering a sense of community, particularly for permanent residents. The location across from the bay is a significant environmental advantage, potentially offering scenic views and proximity to the waterfront. The park is also described as family-friendly due to the thorough background checks conducted. However, there is a contrasting view regarding the current rental rates, with one reviewer finding them "ridiculous" for the space provided, which could be a concern for budget-conscious individuals.
In terms of services and features, Kelley's RV Park offers basic amenities such as maintained grounds (mowed and picked up) and laundry facilities with reasonably priced machines. The proactive approach to safety through background checks is a notable feature. The location across from the bay is a significant locational advantage. However, the reviews do not provide details about the availability or quality of other common RV park amenities such as hookups (full or partial), restroom and shower facilities, Wi-Fi access, or communal areas. Potential residents would need to inquire specifically about these services.
Promotional information is somewhat mixed. The positive comments about the dedicated owners working to improve the park and the reasonable prices mentioned by one reviewer can be seen as promotional aspects. The family-friendly environment due to background checks and the convenient location across from the bay are also attractive features. However, the recent feedback about "ridiculous" rent for the space is a significant deterrent and needs to be carefully considered by potential long-term residents. The warning about securing valuables due to the local area is an honest disclosure but not a promotional point.
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in Coos Bay, Kelley's RV Park presents a situation with dedicated management and a potentially good sense of community, especially for permanent residents. The location near the bay and the reasonable laundry prices are positive aspects. However, the concern about the current rental rates being high for the space provided is a significant factor to investigate. Additionally, the need for caution regarding valuables due to the surrounding area should be taken into account.
To get a more complete picture of Kelley's RV Park, potential residents and visitors should contact the park directly to inquire about the current rental rates, the size and type of RV spaces, the availability and quality of all amenities (hookups, restrooms, showers, Wi-Fi, etc.), and any specific policies or rules. It would also be beneficial to ask about the owners' ongoing efforts to improve the park and address any concerns raised in the recent reviews.
In conclusion, Kelley's RV Park in Coos Bay, Oregon, is characterized by dedicated owners who are reportedly working hard to improve the park, particularly for long-term residents. It offers a convenient location across from the bay and reasonably priced laundry facilities. The thorough background checks conducted by the owner are a notable feature for safety-conscious individuals and families. However, recent feedback indicates that the rental rates might be considered high for the size of the spaces, and there is a need for caution regarding valuables due to the local area. Potential residents and visitors should weigh these factors and contact the park directly for detailed information to determine if Kelley's RV Park meets their specific needs and expectations.
