Lake Fairways Country Club Introduce
For local users exploring options within the category of "RV parks near me" and considering long-term stays or mobile home living in a community setting in North Fort Myers, Florida, Lake Fairways Country Club, located at 19371 N Tamiami Trl, North Fort Myers, FL 33903, USA, presents a complex picture based on recent customer reviews. You can reach them at (888) 504-1171 or +1 888-504-1171 for inquiries. The reviews indicate a community that has experienced significant changes in management and is currently undergoing improvements after a period of decline.
One initial review from a recent homeowner expressed considerable dissatisfaction with Lake Fairways Country Club. They reported "very high HOA fees" which they felt were unjustified due to a lack of upkeep. Specific issues included a non-functional heated pool and hot tub for over a month, lawns not being mowed for over three weeks creating a "jungle" appearance, and a general sense that the management (referred to as ELS) was taking advantage of residents. This reviewer lamented paying six months of HOA fees despite anticipating a shorter residency and described numerous amenities as "always broken," the pool as "dirty," and the overall condition as "very run down." They expressed disbelief at any 5-star ratings, suggesting those reviewers were out of touch with reality.
However, this same reviewer later provided a significant update, indicating a "total 180" in the community's situation due to "new management." According to the update, things were actively being updated, a new pool company was hired resulting in a very clean pool, and repairs to broken amenities were being addressed promptly rather than taking extended periods. The reviewer promised to provide new photos reflecting these improvements, signaling a substantial positive shift in their perception of Lake Fairways Country Club.
Another review highlights a specific safety concern during a visit to a friend, mentioning the removal of a "huge alligator." The reviewer then relayed a concerning anecdote about an "old lady" who "disappeared randomly" and speculated that the alligator might have been responsible, emphasizing the speed and hunger of alligators. This review also included a direct plea to the HOA to "do better to inform your residents of dangerous situations," underscoring the importance of transparent communication regarding potential safety hazards within the community.
Considering these reviews, Lake Fairways Country Club appears to be a community that has faced significant challenges related to management and maintenance in the recent past. However, the positive update from a previously dissatisfied resident suggests that new management is actively working to address these issues and implement improvements. The presence of alligators within the community or nearby waterways also presents a unique environmental factor that residents and visitors should be aware of, and communication regarding potential dangers is crucial.
To provide a more detailed introduction to Lake Fairways Country Club for local users searching for "RV parks near me" (for longer-term stays, as it is primarily a mobile home park) or considering mobile home living, we can infer some potential services and features, keeping in mind the reported past issues and ongoing improvements:
- HOA Fees: The initial review highlights "very high HOA fees," which prospective residents should carefully consider and inquire about in detail, understanding what these fees cover and the current state of services provided.
- Amenities (Under Renovation/Improvement): The community boasts "so many amenities," though many were reportedly broken under previous management. The update suggests these are now being addressed, including the pool and possibly the hot tub. Potential amenities in a country club setting might include a golf course (implied by the name), clubhouse, fitness center, recreational courts (tennis, pickleball), and social activity spaces. The current operational status of all amenities should be verified.
- Pool and Hot Tub: Past reviews indicated a non-heated and dirty pool and a non-functional hot tub. The positive update specifically mentions a new pool company and a clean pool, suggesting improvement in this area. The status of the hot tub should be confirmed.
- Lawn Maintenance: A significant past issue was the lack of lawn mowing. The update does not specifically address this, so prospective residents should inquire about the current landscaping services provided and the upkeep of individual lots and common areas.
- Gated Community (Implied): The term "Country Club" often suggests a gated or planned community, which might offer controlled access and a certain level of exclusivity. This should be confirmed.
- Lake or Water Features (Implied): The name "Lake Fairways" suggests the presence of lakes or water features within or surrounding the community, potentially offering scenic views or recreational opportunities (though the alligator issue indicates potential hazards associated with these water bodies).
- Golf Course (Implied): The "Country Club" designation strongly implies the presence of a golf course, which would be a significant amenity for golf enthusiasts. The condition and accessibility of the golf course should be investigated.
- Management: The reviews highlight a critical shift in management, with the new team reportedly being more responsive and proactive in addressing past issues and implementing improvements. The effectiveness and responsiveness of the current management should be a key consideration for prospective residents.
- Safety and Communication: The alligator incident underscores the importance of safety within the community and the need for clear communication from the HOA regarding potential hazards. Prospective residents should inquire about safety protocols and emergency communication procedures.

For local users specifically searching for "RV parks near me" with the potential for a longer-term stay in a community with amenities, Lake Fairways Country Club in North Fort Myers presents a situation of ongoing transformation. While past reviews painted a concerning picture of mismanagement and disrepair, more recent feedback indicates a positive shift under new management. The potential for a golf course lifestyle, along with other amenities, could be attractive. However, prospective residents should conduct thorough due diligence to assess the current state of the community and ensure that the improvements are substantial and sustainable. The presence of wildlife like alligators also necessitates an understanding of safety precautions and community communication regarding such matters.

Lake Fairways Country Club Reviews
Recently bought a house in Lake fairways. I have found they have very high Hoa fees. Which would be fine if they if they did some upkeep. The pool has not been heated nor the hot tub. I have been here over a month and still not working. But, Do not pay your 6 months of HOA fees late. The lawns have not been mowed in over three weeks. Starting to look like a jungle. Hated to pay 6 months of HOA fees when in fact probably will not be here that long. I feel that ELS is taking advantage of the people that live here. It just gets worse and worse here. So many amenities but there always broken. The pool is dirty. Very run down. Hard to believe people give them 5 stars. There living in a fantasy world. I wanted to update this review since getting new management for the park there has been a total 180. Things are being updated. They hired a new pool company to take care of the pool and has been very clean. When things get broken we don't have to wait a year to have them fixed. New photos to come.
Jul 18, 2023 · Mike PapI am so glad they took the huge alligator out when I was visiting a friend. My friend said a old lady disappeared randomly. I said it was that huge alligator that ate her because they run 20 mph and always hungry. For HOA do better to inform your residents of dangerous situations.
Jun 25, 2024 · Kim SIf I could give minus stars I would..... This mobile home park is absolutely the most impossible folks to deal with....They do not answer phones and if you have questions they will avoid any answers. ..... Ever since then we have been trying to remedy this situation and have received nothing but bills and increases in every aspect. Upon attempting to ask questions, office staff become rude, speak over us and do not let us speak.... If we had a choice we would steer clear of this organization. They send paperwork with the incorrect lot numbers on. They ask for the lot number, upon reading the number off the paper that was sent to us I am told that information is incorrect. Its the information given from them that is being read back.... incompetent staff....nothing but harassment and no explanation of anything they do..... all just give us the money.... sad
Jan 25, 2023 · beverlee blessingA residential community of really good people, about half of the residents are snowbirds...which makes for a diverse northern population. Close to a thousand homes and about 1500 total residents, including myself, the community also has an 18 hole golf course, pool, hot tub, tennis courts, restaurants/bar and a spacious clubhouse. The community to the north, Pine Lakes, is a sister community that is similar, and residents of both can share each community's amenities.
Oct 23, 2018 · Anthony Zarlenga (BeachZar)Seems like a very short course for being an executive course. The greens have more divots and bumps in them than Del Prado. Really not worth $45 per person. I assume they were locals since they had their own custom carts were snobby and slow. Group ahead of us had 6 people playing together and wouldn't let a 3-some play through. No course direction or layout of the course on the score card. Pro shop was closed by the time we were done golfing.
