HERE IS MY HONEST REVIEW, AND WHAT I HAVE TO SAY IS APPALLING AT BEST!!!!I have lived here just 11 months. Bought my home outright with my mother (cash purchase). Was aware I was buying as-is and the home needed some TLC. I am disabled and was not even given a safe stoop to enter the home with. My grown daughter built a deck herself to make things safer for me. I have had issues with flickering lights occassionally. Recently, in the past month, I have had power outages for long periods of time. No breakers were tripped and resetting breakers does not make electric turn back on. Electric turns on by itself. Sometimes within a few minutes but more often after several hours, with my longest outage lasting over 9 hours. I called an electrician to check things out. The electrician found that the problem was a very old outside box that is so old they are not even used anymore. It was in VERY POOR shape and causing an arch to occur!!!! A MAJOR FIRE HAZZARD!!!! Quote for a new box set up is upwards of 3K. That is coming out if MY pocket. Buying a mh that needs some repair is ok with me, but not being made aware of such an old outdated box on the exterior that was in such bad shape and a fire hazzard is a pure lack concern for safety and another persons life!!!!!! I am a disabled woman who bought a home with my 80 yr old mother. We didnt know to look for things like that, but a mh dealer/park who knows all about these things does!!!! They just didnt care about anything but the 22+ K that they made off of us. When they saw us coming we were an easy target to turn a quick buck. And the rediculous rules they have here too!!!! Cant plant flower beds around my home to make it look nice either. Was told in a violation letter that my sons moped and bike must be removed from my deck. I have my son put those things on the deck because we have had things stolen from us several times, including an exspensive bicycle among other things. Placinng things on my deck at my front door helps me protect my belongings. If someone comes onto my deck that close the the front door my dog alerts me. I am diabled with a neurological disorder that affects how well i can walk and balance myself. I am also a person with VERY LOW vision. I need these things where I can see them.My son is special needs and has been bullied constantly since moving here by his peers in the park and has been physically attacked, beaten up and injured at the hands of other kids. My grandson has also been attacked and injured once!Management is a joke. This place is a nightmare to say the least!!!!But until I can come up with an alternative solution to this hell hole. I will continue to be respectful to even the rudest neighbors, and continue paying over $650 a month (that has and will never be even a day late)PLEASE PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING GOOD, DONT MOVE HERE!!!! YOU WILL BE MISERABLE TOO. - Misty Jasper

Mooresville Acres Introduce

If you are a local user searching for "RV parks near me" that might accommodate long-term stays or are considering mobile home parks in the Mooresville, Indiana area, Mooresville Acres, located at 1 Chisholm Trail, Mooresville, IN 46158, USA, warrants careful consideration. Understanding the realities of any residential community requires a comprehensive view, especially when relying on the experiences shared by current and former residents. The following introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Mooresville Acres based on the available customer reviews, highlighting both potential drawbacks and any mentioned positive aspects.

Examining the Environment of Mooresville Acres

Mooresville Acres is situated in Mooresville, Indiana, a town within the broader Indianapolis metropolitan area. The specific environment of the mobile home park itself is not detailed in terms of landscaping or layout. Typically, such parks consist of individual lots for mobile homes or RVs, internal roadways, and potentially some common areas. However, the provided reviews do shed some light on aspects of the park's physical condition and rules, which can significantly impact the living environment.

One resident, who had lived there for 11 months, mentioned issues with the infrastructure, specifically a "very old outside box" for electricity that was a "MAJOR FIRE HAZZARD." This suggests potential concerns regarding the maintenance and upkeep of essential utilities within the park. The resident also noted the poor condition of the roads, stating, "These people dont use our payments toward any improvements in the park." Another long-term resident of 31 years echoed this sentiment, indicating a lack of investment in park improvements despite the collection of lot rent.

Furthermore, the rules and regulations of Mooresville Acres appear to impact the living environment for some residents. One review cited restrictions on planting flower beds around homes and the requirement to remove items like a moped and bike from a personal deck, even for security and visibility reasons for a disabled resident. These rules suggest a potentially restrictive environment regarding personalizing one's living space and addressing individual needs.

Analyzing Potential Services and Management

The services provided and the effectiveness of the management at Mooresville Acres are significant concerns raised in the available reviews. One resident described the management as "a joke" and the place as "a nightmare." Specific complaints included:

  • Lack of Responsiveness: Allegations of management not caring about residents and refusing to answer calls.
  • Unexpected Fees: Reports of fees being charged with "little warning."
  • Unavailable Handymen: Claims that handymen who are supposedly available to help residents are "never available."
  • Poor Communication: Notices of violations, such as for missing skirting, being vague and providing short deadlines for compliance.
  • Lack of Assistance for Vulnerable Residents: Accusations that management does not help the elderly or disabled residents with maintenance issues.
  • High Lot Rent Without Improvements: Complaints that the "ridiculous lot rent" is not being used for any improvements within the park.

The first reviewer also detailed a severe electrical issue that the park allegedly did not disclose and expected the resident to pay for, highlighting a potential lack of responsibility for maintaining essential infrastructure. These accounts paint a concerning picture of the management and the level of service provided to residents.

It is important to note that these are individual experiences and may not reflect the entirety of the services provided. However, the consistency and severity of the complaints warrant serious consideration for anyone thinking of moving into Mooresville Acres.

Considering the Features and Community Aspects

The reviews provide very little positive information about the features or community aspects of Mooresville Acres. In fact, one resident explicitly stated, "PLEASE PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING GOOD, DONT MOVE HERE!!!! YOU WILL BE MISERABLE TOO." This strong condemnation suggests a lack of positive features that outweigh the significant issues raised.

One of the most disturbing aspects highlighted in a review is the alleged lack of safety and support for vulnerable residents. The reviewer mentioned that their special needs son had been "bullied constantly" and "physically attacked, beaten up and injured" by other children in the park. Furthermore, their grandson was also reportedly attacked and injured. These are serious safety concerns that potential residents with children should be acutely aware of.

The resident also described feeling like an "easy target" for the park to "turn a quick buck," suggesting a potentially predatory environment where the financial interests of the park might be prioritized over the well-being of the residents. The restrictive rules, even when they conflict with the safety and accessibility needs of a disabled resident, further contribute to a negative perception of the community environment.

Lack of Promotional Information and Strong Warnings

There is no promotional information available for Mooresville Acres in the provided data. Instead, the overwhelming message from the reviews is a strong warning against moving into the park. The experiences shared by residents paint a picture of poor management, neglected infrastructure, restrictive rules, and safety concerns.

For local users searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a move to Mooresville Acres, the advice from the residents is stark: avoid this community. The reported issues, ranging from serious safety hazards and lack of maintenance to poor management and bullying, suggest a potentially negative living experience.

Conclusion: Proceed with Extreme Caution

Based on the information available from these resident reviews, prospective residents considering Mooresville Acres as one of their "RV parks near me" or as a mobile home living option in Mooresville, IN, should proceed with extreme caution. The accounts highlight significant issues related to safety, management, infrastructure, and community environment. While these are individual experiences, the severity and consistency of the negative feedback cannot be ignored.

Local users are strongly advised to:

  • Thoroughly investigate alternative RV parks or mobile home communities in the Mooresville, IN area.
  • If considering Mooresville Acres, attempt to speak with multiple current residents to gain a broader perspective beyond the provided reviews.
  • Carefully scrutinize any lease agreements and park rules before making a commitment.
  • Assess the physical condition of the park and individual lots to identify any potential maintenance or safety issues.
  • Inquire directly with the management about the concerns raised in the reviews and seek clear and satisfactory responses.

The strong negative sentiment expressed by the residents in these reviews serves as a significant red flag. Until there is evidence of substantial improvements in management and living conditions, potential residents may find more suitable and positive living experiences elsewhere in the Mooresville area.
