Old Orchard Mobile Home Park Introduce
Old Orchard Mobile Home Park, situated at 111 Mulberry Blvd, Ames, IA 50010, USA, offers a residential option primarily for manufactured homes. When considering the platform category "RV Parks Near Me," it's important to understand that while primarily a mobile home community, some parks may accommodate long-term RV stays depending on their specific policies and available infrastructure. For direct inquiries, Old Orchard Mobile Home Park can be reached at (515) 232-5260 or +1 515-232-5260.
The environment at Old Orchard Mobile Home Park is highlighted by its exceptional proximity to Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine (ISCVM). One reviewer explicitly states, "Great place for ISCVM students to live! Walk to school in 5 minutes or less!" This makes it an incredibly convenient and attractive option for students, faculty, or staff associated with the university, particularly the veterinary medicine program, seeking housing that minimizes commute time. The park is described as "Clean, well kept, well organized," suggesting a generally positive and orderly living environment. This indicates a commitment to maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of the park, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere for residents. However, one review does note a peculiar aspect of the park's internal road network: "The roads do not connect. You have to drive back out to the main road to go to the next street. Odd." While this might be an inconvenience for navigation within the park, it doesn't necessarily detract from the overall cleanliness or organization. The location in Ames, Iowa, further enhances the environment, offering residents access to a vibrant college town with numerous amenities, cultural events, dining options, and recreational opportunities beyond the park itself.
As a mobile home park, Old Orchard Mobile Home Park primarily provides leased lots for manufactured homes. These lots typically come equipped with essential utility hookups, including water, sewer, and electricity, ensuring a comfortable and functional living space for residents. The "well kept" and "well organized" descriptions imply that these utility services are likely reliable and the infrastructure is maintained. For individuals searching for "RV Parks Near Me," particularly for long-term stays, it is crucial to contact the park directly to confirm if RV sites are available and what specific services are provided. While manufactured home parks often focus on permanent residency, some may have designated areas or policies for extended RV parking, complete with full hookups. The management of Old Orchard Mobile Home Park would be the best source for information regarding their policies on RVs, including availability, pricing, and required amenities.
The services at Old Orchard Mobile Home Park, inferred from the positive reviews, likely include consistent maintenance of common areas and a responsive management team. A "well kept" and "well organized" park typically requires regular upkeep of grounds, roads (despite the connectivity issue), and any shared facilities. Professional management is usually responsible for handling resident inquiries, collecting lot rents, enforcing park rules, and addressing maintenance concerns. The positive feedback suggests that these core management services are executed effectively, contributing to a harmonious living environment. For students, especially, a well-managed and reliable living situation close to their academic institution is a significant service benefit. Prospective residents and RV campers should inquire about specific services such as trash removal, snow removal (critical in Iowa winters), and any on-site maintenance support provided by the park.
The features of Old Orchard Mobile Home Park are notable for their practical benefits, particularly its prime location. The paramount feature is its exceptional proximity to Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, allowing for a walking commute of "5 minutes or less." This makes it an ideal choice for students, faculty, and staff affiliated with the college, significantly reducing transportation costs and time. The "clean, well kept, well organized" nature of the park itself is another key feature, indicating a commitment to a high standard of living. While the specific layout with disconnected roads might be an unusual feature, it doesn't appear to negate the overall positive experience for residents. Other features common to well-maintained mobile home parks, though not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, might include designated parking areas, community green spaces, and a generally quiet residential atmosphere. For RV users, the features would focus on adequately sized and accessible RV pads with reliable utility hookups. The community's established nature often implies a stable and familiar environment, which can be a valuable feature for long-term residents. Given the emphasis on "clean" and "well kept," it is reasonable to expect that the park prioritizes a visually appealing and functional living space.

For "RV Parks Near Me" searchers, promotions could involve discounted rates for extended stays (monthly, seasonal, or annual), or special packages during off-peak seasons. Given its desirable location near a major university, the park might also offer promotions tailored to the student population, such as flexible lease terms or student discounts. Oct 19, 2024 · Jocelyn FerryLived here for a little over 6 years. Moving because the propane manager has been harassing us for anything & everything. It's hit or miss if she's actually in the office, almost impossible to contact her. If you’re lucky enough to reach her, she is extremely rude and not very helpful.
Jul 09, 2022 · Megan HalsteadWe loved living here when we first got married. Nice little community. Mostly students. Shared lawnmowers, community center, and pool.
Feb 01, 2017 · Marilee EischeidNasty owners who will call you profanities when you try to have a civil conversation about holding them accountable for failing to maintain their trees. The very definition of "slum lords".
