Park Place RV Park Introduce
Park Place RV Park, situated at 501 S Allen Rd in Flat Rock, North Carolina, provides a location for RVers seeking "RV Parks Near Me" in the western part of the state. Located in Flat Rock, NC, 28731, the park can be contacted at (828) 693-3831 or +1 828-693-3831. Reviews from individuals who have stayed at or observed the park offer some insights into its environment, services, and features, presenting a somewhat mixed picture for potential visitors.
The environment of Park Place RV Park, being located in Flat Rock, North Carolina, likely benefits from the scenic beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains region. Flat Rock is known for its natural landscapes and proximity to attractions like the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site. The specific environment within the RV park itself, however, receives mixed feedback. One reviewer notes that the park "looks very run down," suggesting that the overall aesthetic might not be the most appealing. Another reviewer, who initially tried to avoid the park based on reviews, was "pleasantly surprised" by their experience, indicating that perceptions can vary. The mention of "full-time people" letting their dogs run loose suggests a community with longer-term residents, and potentially less stringent enforcement of pet policies in this regard. If the park is full, sites are described as "tight," which could impact the comfort and maneuverability for larger RVs. The presence of trees or other natural elements within the park is not explicitly mentioned, but is common in RV parks in this region.
In terms of services, Park Place RV Park appears to offer basic amenities for RV travelers. The fact that it accommodates overnight stays implies the availability of essential hookups such as electricity, water, and sewage at the individual sites. One reviewer mentioned issues with water pressure, noting that it can fluctuate between "good" and "horrible," which is an important consideration for potential guests. The age of the facilities is also highlighted, with one reviewer stating they are "a little older." This might suggest that while functional, the amenities may not be modern or recently updated. The support mentioned by one reviewer regarding loose dogs implies some level of management presence or at least a point of contact for addressing issues within the park. However, another reviewer expresses a negative sentiment, stating, "Don't think the owner cares about the state of his RV park," which could reflect perceived shortcomings in maintenance or upgrades.
The features of Park Place RV Park include its RV sites, which can become tight when the park is at full capacity. This suggests a potentially limited amount of space per site, which might be a concern for RVers with larger rigs or those seeking more privacy. The presence of full-time residents contributes to the community aspect of the park, but the reported issue of dogs running loose could be a drawback for some visitors, particularly those with pets or concerns about safety. The older facilities might include standard restrooms and showers, although their condition is not detailed in the reviews. Laundry facilities are also a common feature in RV parks catering to longer stays, but their availability and condition at Park Place RV Park are not mentioned. The fluctuating water pressure is a notable feature that could impact the overall comfort of guests. The phone numbers provided offer a direct way to contact the park for reservations and inquiries about specific amenities and site availability.
Promotional information for Park Place RV Park might focus on its location in the scenic Flat Rock area, highlighting its proximity to local attractions and the natural beauty of the region. For those searching for "RV Parks Near Me" for a convenient overnight stop, the park could emphasize its accessibility and basic amenities. The fact that one reviewer was "pleasantly surprised" despite initial reservations based on reviews suggests that some aspects of the park might be better than expected. To address concerns raised in the reviews, promotional materials could highlight any recent improvements or ongoing maintenance efforts. Transparency regarding the age of the facilities and the potential for tight sites when full might also be beneficial in setting realistic expectations for potential guests. The provision of contact phone numbers makes it easy for interested individuals to inquire directly about current conditions and availability.
For local users considering Park Place RV Park as one of their "RV Parks Near Me" options, it is advisable to call the provided phone numbers to get the most current information. Inquiries should include details about the size and type of RV sites available, the hookup specifications (electrical amperage, water pressure, sewage), the condition of the facilities (restrooms, showers, laundry if available), and any specific policies regarding pets or quiet hours. Given the mixed reviews, it might also be helpful to ask about recent maintenance or upgrades and to get a sense of the current management's responsiveness to guest concerns. Understanding the pricing structure for overnight and potentially longer stays is also important.
The contrasting experiences shared in the reviews highlight the importance of individual preferences and expectations when choosing an RV park. While one reviewer found it acceptable for an overnight stay despite its rundown appearance, another was pleasantly surprised by their overall experience despite older facilities and fluctuating water pressure. The issue of loose dogs from full-time residents is a specific concern that potential visitors with pets or children might want to address with the park management before booking a stay.
In conclusion, Park Place RV Park in Flat Rock, NC, offers a location that might be convenient for those exploring the region and searching for "RV Parks Near Me." However, the available reviews suggest that the park might have older facilities and potential issues such as tight sites when full and fluctuating water pressure. While one visitor had a surprisingly positive experience, the overall impression is somewhat mixed. Prospective guests are encouraged to contact the park directly using the provided phone numbers to obtain current information and assess whether Park Place RV Park meets their specific needs and expectations for their RV travel in the Flat Rock, North Carolina area.

Park Place RV Park Reviews
The full-time people let their dogs run loose. It looks very run down. It's okay for an overnight stay. If the park is full the sites are tight. Don't think the owner cares about the state of his RV park
Feb 04, 2025 · Twila SchneiderI honestly tried to avoid this place due to reviews, but ended up in a situation where I had no choice. I have been pleasantly surprised. The facilities are a little older, but it's turned out to be a great place to stay. My only complaint is the water pressure. Sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's horrible...
May 28, 2022 · Jason HowardThis Rv park has a lot of lots. The price is very reasonable. But when they are close to being filled up, there isn't very much space between rvs. Theres a bath house and laundry mat on site. We have a brand new rv and the water pressure isn't good at all. That's why most people take showers at the bath house. Rent is paid weekly ($210) even though it's 840$ a month. At first my husband and I were a little weary because you put the money or money order into a box each week. Also We haven't met the owner. We've been here for about 6 months with out any problems. I definatly recommend Park Place to anyone in a rv that's looking for short term or long term.
Feb 01, 2023 · Jenifer HorneThis is a pretty cool place to stay. Very close to restaurants and stores yet tucked in the woods enough To enjoy being outdoors. Laundry, bathrooms and showers are available at the park. You can also enjoy fishing at the catch and release pond. The owner is such a good guy.
Oct 14, 2019 · Shannon HeersIt was the only place open with availability. A bit sketch but did the trick for 1 night stay. You can tell many people are permanent residents. No one works the office, but there is a guy who tries to enforce the honor system. We got a knock on our window at 7am threatening to call the police because he thought we were drifters. It ended up being okay, but do not plan on returning.
