Roam Tillamook Introduce
Located at 210 3rd St, Garibaldi, OR 97118, USA, Roam Tillamook, previously known as Old Mill RV Resort, offers a base for exploring the scenic Tillamook Bay and the surrounding Oregon Coast. For those searching under the category "RV parks near me," Roam Tillamook presents itself as an option in the Garibaldi area, particularly appealing to those interested in fishing and crabbing activities. You can contact them at (503) 322-0322 or +1 503-322-0322 for inquiries and reservations.
The environment surrounding Roam Tillamook is characterized by its proximity to Tillamook Bay and the coastal landscape of Garibaldi. This location is particularly attractive to those interested in marine activities, with opportunities for fishing, crabbing, and boating readily available. Garibaldi itself is a charming coastal town with a rich maritime history and access to the natural beauty of the Oregon Coast. The RV park's location on 3rd Street places it within relatively easy reach of local amenities and the waterfront.
Based on recent customer reviews, Roam Tillamook is currently undergoing a transition following its acquisition by Roam America. One long-time visitor, who has used the park as a "home base for fishing for the summer for the past 10 years," notes that while Roam America is attempting to upgrade the park, progress has been slow. This reviewer indicates that the park was in "the worst shape it's ever been this summer," citing "many areas of raw dirt, rock piles, and bathrooms closed for the entire season." This suggests that the park may currently be experiencing some challenges related to ongoing renovations or delayed improvements.
In contrast, another review, seemingly from a period before the recent issues highlighted, praised the "old Mil RV park" for having "nice and good size restroom" that were "new and well cleaned." This suggests that at one point, the park offered well-maintained facilities. However, the more recent review indicates a significant decline in at least the bathroom facilities due to closures.
Given the information available, it is important to consider that Roam Tillamook appears to be in a state of flux due to the recent change in ownership and ongoing upgrades. While the long-term vision may be positive, current conditions seem to be impacting the guest experience negatively, particularly regarding the park's infrastructure and amenities.
Based on general expectations for RV parks and the comments provided, potential services and features at Roam Tillamook likely include:
- Individual RV sites with hookups for water, electricity, and sewer. The specific type and amperage of electrical hookups may vary.
- Potentially, a dump station for RV waste disposal.
- Restroom and shower facilities. However, the recent review indicates that these may be closed or limited in availability due to ongoing work. It is crucial to confirm the status of these facilities with the management.
- Access to the waterfront and opportunities for fishing and crabbing, given the park's location in Garibaldi. The park's long-standing appeal to fishing enthusiasts suggests this is a key feature.
- Potentially, other standard RV park amenities such as laundry facilities or Wi-Fi, although these are not specifically mentioned in the provided reviews.
- Management presence on-site, although the recent review expresses concern about the slow progress of upgrades despite the new ownership. The positive mention of "Shasta, Jeff and the local team" suggests that there are familiar and well-regarded staff members.
Features that have historically attracted visitors to the location (under its previous name) include its prime location for fishing and crabbing on Tillamook Bay and the previously noted nice restrooms. However, the current state of the park, as described in the more recent review, indicates that some of these features may be temporarily compromised due to the ongoing changes.
Regarding promotional information, there are no specific promotions mentioned in the provided reviews. RV parks often offer seasonal rates or discounts for longer stays, especially to repeat customers like the fishing groups mentioned. It would be advisable to contact Roam Tillamook directly to inquire about any current offers, especially for those planning extended stays for fishing or crabbing.
For those searching under "RV parks near me" in the Garibaldi/Tillamook area, Roam Tillamook (Old Mill RV Resort) presents a location with a strong historical appeal for fishing and crabbing enthusiasts. However, potential visitors should be aware of the recent negative feedback regarding the park's condition and the closure of bathrooms due to ongoing upgrades. It is highly recommended to contact the park directly at (503) 322-0322 or +1 503-322-0322 to inquire about the current status of the park, the progress of any renovations, and the availability of essential amenities before making a reservation. Understanding the current conditions will help set expectations and ensure a more satisfactory experience.
In conclusion, Roam Tillamook (formerly Old Mill RV Resort) offers a potentially attractive location for those interested in the coastal activities around Tillamook Bay, particularly fishing and crabbing. While it has historically been a favored spot for repeat visitors, recent changes in ownership and ongoing upgrades appear to have resulted in some temporary setbacks, including the closure of bathroom facilities and general disrepair. Prospective guests should weigh the positive aspects of the location and the potential for future improvements against the current challenges and seek up-to-date information from the park management before booking a stay.

Roam Tillamook Reviews
We love Old Mill RV Resort as our home base for fishing for the summer for the past 10 years. Roam America bought the park they are trying to upgrade it but progress has been slow! The park was in the worst shape it's ever been this summer with many areas of raw dirt, rock piles, and bathrooms closed for the entire season. We love Shasta, Jeff and the local team and I hope Roam America remembers that most of the repeat users of this park are here to fish and crab.

Jan 22, 2025 · Florence OngBeen coming to lovely Old Mill every year for the past 20+ years, my now adult kids grew up coming here during the summer and they forever loved it. The view of the big lighted "G" on the hill and how close the stars in the sky look at night is unforgettable and brings good ever lasting memories spent with family. Clean showers with hot water are amazing and the staff is just great. Really looking forward to bringing the next generation of my family to enjoy this beautiful peaceful place. 🩷
Jul 17, 2024 · Maria EspinozaThis place has so much potential it's just not kept up at all. Full timers have junk and fish hooks everywhere, they don't clean up the space before you come, it was filthy. I had problems with my sewer draining because it drained up hill no mater what I did. It is unfortunate that they don't invest some time and effort into fixing this up and cleaning it up.I left 5 days early because I didn't feel comfortable there at all.
Aug 31, 2024 · Stephanie MillerShowers/sink/toilet were clean, beautiful and brand new. We used showers in the 300 Loop location. We were using a tent so we had the entire "field" to ourselves. We camped Tuesday thru Friday. We were doing crabbing so the location was great. Not really private, and we had a Duraflame log stolen from our campfire the first day.
