Nordic Pines Resort Campground Introduce
Looking for a "camping near me" option that offers a peaceful retreat with excellent proximity to the renowned Devil's Lake State Park? Nordic Pines Resort Campground, situated at E11740 County Rd DL, Baraboo, WI 53913, presents itself as a charming and well-maintained campground favored by both tent and potentially RV campers. Its location just a stone's throw away from Devil's Lake makes it an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty and recreational activities of this popular Wisconsin destination.
The environment of Nordic Pines Resort Campground is described as "quiet" and "small," suggesting a more intimate and tranquil camping experience compared to larger, busier campgrounds. Its key environmental feature is its "super close" proximity to Devil's Lake State Park. This location allows campers easy access to the park's stunning bluffs, picturesque lake, hiking trails, swimming beaches, and other outdoor activities. The campground itself appears to be set in a natural wooded area, providing shade and a sense of being immersed in nature. One reviewer mentioned the presence of "large" sites, capable of accommodating a "decent set up," implying ample space for campers to spread out and enjoy their surroundings.
In terms of services, Nordic Pines Resort Campground offers essential amenities for a comfortable stay. The availability of "flush toilets and running water" is a significant convenience, particularly appreciated by those who prefer these over more rustic options. One reviewer noted that the "bathrooms are small, but cleaned every day, and are better than the bathrooms you'll get in the state park!" This suggests a commitment to cleanliness, even if the facilities are not expansive. The campground also provides "showers," although one long-time camper expressed disappointment with the continued charge of "$1 per person per day" for their use, suggesting this is a pay-per-use amenity.
Nordic Pines Resort Campground is highlighted as "family friendly" and includes a "play area for kids, which was updated a few years ago." This feature makes it an attractive option for families with young children, providing a dedicated space for them to play and socialize. The campground's size is described as "small enough that every site is a short walk to flush toilets and running water, but large enough that you don't feel like everyone is on top of you." This balance offers both convenience and a sense of personal space for campers.
The campground appears to cater well to "tent camping," as specifically mentioned in one review. While not explicitly stated, the "large" sites could also likely accommodate RVs, though it would be advisable to contact the campground directly to inquire about site sizes, hookup availability (water, electric, sewer), and any potential restrictions for recreational vehicles. The positive feedback regarding the helpfulness of the "owners" during the reservation process suggests a responsive and accommodating management team.
A point of concern raised by one reviewer is the issue of noise, particularly after 10 pm. They wished the campground would "impress upon campers as they check in that it is rude to make noise after 10pm," indicating that noise from other campers can occasionally be a problem. This is something to be aware of, although the overall description of the campground as "quiet" suggests this might not be a persistent issue.
Currently, no specific promotional information or discounts are mentioned in the provided reviews. To inquire about any special offers, seasonal rates, or family packages, it is recommended to contact Nordic Pines Resort Campground directly at (608) 356-5810 or +1 608-356-5810. The owners would be the best source of information regarding current pricing, availability, and any promotions that might be available to local users or other campers.
In summary, Nordic Pines Resort Campground in Baraboo, Wisconsin, offers a conveniently located and family-friendly camping experience just moments away from the natural wonders of Devil's Lake State Park. Its quiet atmosphere, clean (though small) bathrooms, flush toilets, running water, and updated play area for kids make it an appealing choice, particularly for tent campers. While the showers incur an additional fee, the overall positive feedback, especially regarding the helpful owners and the proximity to Devil's Lake, suggests a pleasant stay. Local users looking for a well-situated campground to explore the Baraboo area should consider Nordic Pines Resort Campground and contact them directly for specific details about RV accommodations and any current promotions.

Nordic Pines Resort Campground Reviews
Quiet, small campground, super close to Devil's Lake. Bathrooms are small, but cleaned every day, and are better than the bathrooms you'll get in the state park! Great for tent camping. I wish they would impress upon campers as they check in that it is rude to make noise after 10pm. As I type this there are kids making a ton of noise a few sites down. Owners were super helpful when I made reservations. Will definitely stay here again.
Jul 22, 2018 · Morgaine HeithoffWe've been camping here for decades. They have done a decent job of maintaining the property and the cost of camp sites is fair compared to what's available in the area. It's a family friendly campground with a play area for kids, which was updated a few years ago. The sites are large and can accommodate a decent set up. The campground is small enough that every site is a short walk to flush toilets and running water, but large enough that you don't feel like everyone is on top of you. However, I'm disappointed that they continue to overcharge for the showers. $1 per person per day is outrageous. I'd rather they increase the daily rate for camp sites than to insult me by charging for hot water.
Aug 04, 2018 · Louise MoonTLUSA Troop WI-1885 had a great time at Nordic Pines this weekend. Management very accommodating arranging for site with electric hook up for one of our campers at last minute, prices on ice, grocery needs very reasonable compared to other campgrounds. Very much appreciated the no alcohol policy and quiet hours. Despite beautiful weather and crowds at Devils Lake the campgrounds were not overcrowded
Jul 29, 2018 · Rollyn MeyersMy fiancee and I and our dog visited Nordic Pines this summer on the fourth of July weekend and we just wanted to say that we LOVED this campground!!! It was so close to Devils Lake we simply crossed the road and we were there, we didnt have to pay the parking at the lake. The bathrooms were so clean and the staff were very friendly-they let us borrow their wire grill to place on the fire pit so we could grill. we HIGHLY recommend this campground and will be back again for our next trip out!!
Aug 28, 2013 · Deanna ProngerVery nice, clean, quiet, and comfortable campground! A far better option than the over-booked and crowded state campgrounds in Devil's lake. This was a VERY short walk across the street (maybe 200 yards further than the Quartzite state campground in the park), and without the state parking sticker requirements/fees.
