Sherwood Forest Mobile Home Introduce
For individuals exploring the "RV parks near me" category within Salt Lake City, Utah, considering mobile home parks for potential extended stays can sometimes broaden the available options. Sherwood Forest Mobile Home, located at 1594 400 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84104, USA, is primarily a residential community for manufactured homes but offers insights into its environment, services, and features that may be relevant for RV users seeking a longer-term community setting within the city.
The environment of Sherwood Forest Mobile Home, based on resident reviews, presents a mixed picture. On the one hand, there is a strong sense of community among the residents. One reviewer, who spent their entire life growing up in the park, describes it as "always been home" and mentions the friendly neighbors. This suggests a welcoming and established social environment, which can be appealing to those seeking a sense of belonging during a longer stay. The park is also described as a "great place to raise a family," indicating a potentially family-friendly atmosphere.
However, a contrasting perspective arises from another reviewer who details significant dissatisfaction with the management. This review highlights issues with winter upkeep, specifically the lack of plowing and salting. This could be a concern for RV users considering a stay during the winter months, as it might impact accessibility and safety within the park. Furthermore, this reviewer notes multiple increases in lot rent over the past two years, suggesting a trend of rising costs for residents. While this directly impacts mobile home owners, it could also indicate a potential for increasing rates for any long-term RV stays, if permitted.
In terms of services and features, Sherwood Forest Mobile Home appears to offer some amenities. A significant positive mentioned by one reviewer is the presence of a pool in the summer, which they "love." Additionally, there is a clubhouse that residents can rent out for small gatherings, providing a communal space for social events. These amenities could be attractive to long-term RV residents seeking recreational and social opportunities within the community.
However, the availability and reliability of these amenities are questioned by the other reviewer, who states that the pool "seems to never be open or very rarely open." This discrepancy suggests potential issues with the management and maintenance of these facilities, which could impact the quality of life for residents, including long-term RV guests. The same reviewer also notes that "no one is ever in the office when you have something to discuss with them," indicating potential challenges in communication with the park management.
Another significant concern raised is the parking policy. According to one reviewer, overnight parking for guests in the overflow area is not allowed, with management preferring that guests park outside the community on the street. This could be an inconvenience for RV users who may have visitors or who themselves have additional vehicles. It suggests potentially strict and inconvenient parking regulations within the park.
The location of Sherwood Forest Mobile Home in Salt Lake City offers both advantages and potential drawbacks. Being within the city provides access to a wide range of urban amenities, including shopping, dining, entertainment, and public transportation. However, it also means that the park might be subject to the typical urban environment, including potential noise and traffic, although one reviewer mentions low traffic as a positive for raising a family within the park itself.
No specific promotional information for Sherwood Forest Mobile Home is provided in the available reviews. For RV users considering a long-term stay, it would be crucial to contact the management directly at (801) 973-8009 or +1 801-973-8009 to inquire about the possibility of accommodating RVs, the terms and conditions for extended stays, monthly rental rates, and all applicable park rules and regulations, including those regarding parking and amenity access. It would also be prudent to ask about the winter maintenance procedures and the typical operating schedule of the pool and clubhouse.
In conclusion, Sherwood Forest Mobile Home in Salt Lake City offers a well-established community with friendly residents and some amenities like a pool and clubhouse. However, there are significant concerns raised by a resident regarding the management, including issues with winter upkeep, rising lot rents, inconsistent pool availability, office accessibility, and restrictive guest parking. For those in the "RV parks near me" category seeking a long-term stay in Salt Lake City, Sherwood Forest presents a mixed bag. The strong community aspect might be appealing, but the reported management issues are a significant factor to consider. Direct communication with the management is essential to ascertain the current policies regarding RVs, understand the costs and available amenities, and weigh the potential benefits against the reported drawbacks before making a decision.

Sherwood Forest Mobile Home Reviews
Changing from 5 stars to 1. The people that live in the community are great never any problems. But management could be better. They don't upkeep in the winter never plow or even salt. They have raised the lot rent 3 times in the last 2 years. In the summer they offer a pool but seems to never be open or very rarely open. No one is ever in the office when you have something to discuss with them. You and your guests can't park overnight in the overflow parking they would rather have you park out of the community on the street. Very disappointed with the management..
Feb 05, 2019 · Camille MunozI've spent my entire life growing up in Sherwood park and its always been home..Love the pool in the summer and and the club house its great to rent out for small gatherings..Have fond memories of walking my neighbors around the park and now my own grandmother..Sherwood will always be home..Great place to raise a family..
Feb 03, 2018 · Natasha EdwardsThe Visitor Parking lot is in the center of the trailer park with a Rec Club and Pool area attached to it. Surrounding those is a oval of single and double wide mobile homes, then the main road of the park, followed by another row of trailers. All surrounded by a fence. The entrance is located on the south. Be careful about driving threw this park, not only are there children at play, but there are some pretty jarring speed bumps as well.I grew up in the Sherwood Forest trailer park with my father and grandparents, and my grandparents still live there, so I have continued to visit them.I can definitely say that Sherwood Forest was probably the most memorable neighborhood I've lived in. The people in the park are great. It has always been a quite peaceful area to live, and as a child I never felt scared or afraid while I was there. That is actually pretty uncommon for that part of Salt Lake City. There a a few area's around it that can be pretty dangerous, especially if you do not know the area.Which makes Sherwood Forest Trailer Park's stand out that much more of a blessing to live and play!
Jan 15, 2022 · Joshua GreenwellI suggest you read every word in the owners agreement before you decide to move into his property. If you allow him to take advantage of you, he will. It seems like the man has little compassion for the residents in his property. The man is about his business. Be careful.
Mar 04, 2015 · Rafael PreciadoMy friend lives here so I come here a lot to visit him and see how he's feeling, and it's a really nice place. The only thing I do not like is how many cars drive thru here in the middle of the night with their bass turned up so high that it literally shakes his mobile home. It's insane.
