For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Leander, Texas area, Sunset Ranch RV Park, located at 224 Christopher Ln, Leander, TX 78641, USA, offers a seemingly appealing option with a blend of spaciousness, community, and natural beauty. You can reach them for inquiries and reservations at (512) 886-0777 or their mobile number +1 512-886-0777. Online reviews provide a glimpse into the experiences of past visitors, highlighting both the positive aspects and potential drawbacks of this RV park.
One enthusiastic review describes Sunset Ranch RV Park as a "Great park" offering "plenty of room and private" sites. The reviewer also emphasizes a "great community of people" and notes that the park is "organized and clean," suggesting a well-managed and welcoming environment. A unique feature mentioned is the abundance of wildlife, with "lots of deer in and around park," which could be a significant draw for nature lovers seeking a tranquil setting.
Another review provides a more nuanced perspective. While acknowledging that the park is "nice" once you arrive, it points out a significant issue with the access road, describing it as "very rough." This could be a crucial consideration for RV owners concerned about the condition of their vehicles. Once inside the gates, the reviewer notes that while the park is generally nice, "many sites aren’t very level," which might require extra effort and equipment for RV setup. The park boasts "a lot of grassy areas to make up for the gravel roads inside," which could enhance the aesthetic appeal and provide space for outdoor activities. However, the reviewer also mentions an unpleasant experience upon arrival, finding the grass near the laundry room "FULL of large-dog poop," attributing blame to irresponsible dog owners but expressing hope for stricter enforcement by the park management.
Considering these reviews, local users searching for "RV parks near me" should weigh the positive aspects of spacious and private sites, a friendly community, cleanliness, and wildlife sightings against the potential challenges of a rough access road and uneven sites, as well as concerns about pet waste in common areas. It's important to note that the issue of dog poop, while attributed to owners, also reflects on the overall maintenance and enforcement of park rules.
Based on the available information, we can outline the potential environment, services, and features of Sunset Ranch RV Park:
Environment: The park appears to offer a spacious and somewhat private setting, with "plenty of room" between sites. The presence of "lots of deer in and around park" suggests a natural environment where wildlife is prevalent, potentially offering a unique and scenic experience. The interior of the park features gravel roads and "a lot of grassy areas," contributing to the overall landscape. However, the "very rough" access road is a significant environmental factor to consider, as it could impact the journey to and from the park. The issue of uneven sites might also affect the comfort and stability of parked RVs.
Services and Features: The reviews provide limited information about specific services and features. However, the mention of a "laundry room" indicates at least one essential amenity. The fact that the park is described as "organized and clean" suggests a level of management that pays attention to upkeep. Based on typical RV park offerings, Sunset Ranch RV Park likely provides:
- RV sites with utility hookups (water, electricity, sewer).
- Waste disposal facilities.
- Potentially restroom and shower facilities, although not explicitly mentioned.
- Wi-Fi access, although not commented on in the reviews.
The presence of a "great community of people" suggests a social aspect to the park, which can be a significant draw for travelers looking for interaction and camaraderie.

Local users interested in Sunset Ranch RV Park should contact them directly at (512) 886-0777 or +1 512-886-0777 to inquire about current rates, availability, seasonal specials, or any other promotions they might be offering. It would also be prudent to ask about the condition of the access road and whether any improvements are planned or have been made. Inquiring about site leveling and the park's policies regarding pet waste and enforcement could also be beneficial in making an informed decision.
In conclusion, Sunset Ranch RV Park in Leander, Texas, offers the allure of spacious and private sites within a friendly community, enhanced by the presence of local wildlife. However, potential visitors should be prepared for a potentially rough access road and the possibility of uneven parking sites. While the park is described as generally clean, the issue of pet waste in common areas is a concern that prospective guests might want to address with the management. For local users searching for "RV parks near me," contacting Sunset Ranch RV Park directly for the most up-to-date information on rates, availability, access conditions, site leveling, and pet policies is highly recommended to determine if this park aligns with their preferences and requirements for an enjoyable RV experience in the Leander area.

Sunset Ranch RV Park Reviews
Great park. Plenty of room and private. A great community of people. Organized and clean.Lots of deer in and around park.
Jan 30, 2025 · Sheila NeilA nice park, once you get there. The road in is very rough. Once inside the gates, the park is nice but many sites aren’t very level. There is a lot of grassy areas to make up for the gravel roads inside but when we arrived, the grass near the laundry room was FULL of large-dog poop. I blame the dog owners but hope the park owners crack down on that.
Apr 14, 2024 · Gracie HMWe’ve been here two months and are enjoying it. Very quiet. Everyone is very nice. I would have given it 5 stars but the location has one draw back: Limestone gravel drive areas. It creates a fine powder on everything. The company that owns this location also owns others in the area. One of those locations has black top drive areas and the other has granite in the drive areas. I wish they would bring the granite to this location. Other than that, they have done a lot to make the common areas in the park ver nice with fresh mulch and grass. Also, there are new trees and drought tolerant bushes in most of the flower beds. Great place!!!!
Aug 14, 2023 · RCI stayed for the Thanksgiving weekend and enjoyed the peace. I like places that offer quiet and a little seclusion from the city, but are within shopping distance. It looks like there are some new features on the way.
Nov 27, 2023 · Cne CarlinNice little place to stay and get away from it all. They are looking to add a swimming pool which would really make it a cool place to stay for a weekend or more. The only downside is a huge housing community is being built close by, so it might not feel like you are away from everything if that is what you are seeking. Still worth a few days of solitude and relaxing though.
