Uptain Mobile Home Park Introduce
While you might be searching for "RV parks near me," if you are also exploring options for mobile home living or trailer parks in the Jasper, Alabama area, it is crucial to thoroughly research potential locations. Uptain Mobile Home Park, located at 655 Sanders Rd, Jasper, AL 35504, USA, which can be contacted at (205) 387-2065 or +1 205-387-2065, has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from former residents, indicating several serious concerns that potential tenants should carefully consider before deciding to move their mobile home or rent a space there.
Multiple reviews from individuals who have lived at Uptain Mobile Home Park paint a concerning picture of the park's management and overall condition. A recurring theme in the feedback is the perceived lack of maintenance and responsiveness from the current owner. One former resident explicitly advises, "you don't want to put your mobile home here," citing that "the owner dose nothing to this park but cut grass and charge you." This suggests a minimal level of upkeep beyond basic lawn care, which appears insufficient to address the needs of the residents and the park's infrastructure.
When residents have raised issues, the owner's alleged response has been described as dismissive and unhelpful. According to one review, when problems are brought to the owner's attention, the reply is often along the lines of "what you want me to do about it, or if you don't like it move!!!" This attitude suggests a lack of concern for the well-being of the tenants and a refusal to address legitimate maintenance or infrastructure problems within the park. Such a lack of responsiveness can create a frustrating and untenable living situation for residents of "mobile home parks near me."
A particularly serious issue highlighted by a former resident is the failure to address water drainage problems. This individual reported losing their trailer because the owner "would not redirect the water from the culvert that was in my front yard," which resulted in significant damage. This negligence in handling essential infrastructure issues can have severe financial and personal consequences for the residents and indicates a profound lack of care for the property and the people living there. Potential residents searching for "trailer parks near me" should take this account as a significant warning sign.
The overall sentiment expressed in the reviews is that the current owner "don't care about the people in the park." This is contrasted with the previous management under an "old Mr uptain," during whose tenure the park was reportedly well-maintained and issues were addressed. The consensus is that since the son took over, the park has "went down," indicating a significant decline in the quality of living conditions and management practices at Uptain Mobile Home Park.
The deteriorating state of the park is further evidenced by the observation of "awful looking mobile homes in there." This suggests a lack of standards or enforcement regarding the upkeep of individual properties within the park, contributing to a decline in the overall aesthetic and potentially the safety of the community. For those seeking a well-maintained and visually appealing environment among "mobile home parks near me," this description is concerning.
Adding to the uncertainty for residents is the information that the park is "in the process before long of selling it." This impending sale creates instability and raises concerns about the future for current tenants. The potential outcomes mentioned – either a new owner requiring everyone to move their homes or a sale to someone even worse – highlight the precarious situation for those living at Uptain Mobile Home Park. This instability is a significant factor for anyone considering moving their mobile home to this location from their search of "trailer parks near me."
Several reviewers mention specific environmental and infrastructure issues that have been repeatedly ignored by the management. One resident reports "the ground is wet on one side of the mobile home i think the field lines are leaking" and states that despite telling the management "over and over," nothing has been done. Another resident corroborates this, mentioning "yesterday the ground was all wet between me and the other mobile home next to me," further suggesting widespread drainage or leakage problems within the park's infrastructure.
The issue of foul odors is also a recurring complaint, with one resident stating, "I am tired of the smell." This suggests potential problems with the sewage or drainage systems within the park that are not being adequately addressed, leading to unpleasant and potentially unhealthy living conditions. The owner's alleged response to these complaints – "if you don't like it hitch your mobile home up and move it out" – further underscores the lack of concern for resident well-being.
The combination of poor maintenance, unresponsive management, unresolved infrastructure issues, and the potential sale of the park paints a bleak picture for Uptain Mobile Home Park. The consistent negative feedback from multiple former residents serves as a strong warning to potential tenants searching for "mobile home parks near me" in the Jasper, Alabama area. It is highly advisable to thoroughly investigate other options before considering Uptain Mobile Home Park as a place to live.
