This includes proximity to pristine beaches, scenic trails winding through diverse ecosystems, and the natural beauty of the park itself. Imagine waking up to the sounds of nature, with the possibility of a short walk leading you directly to the sandy shores of the Atlantic Ocean. The area is known for its rich biodiversity, offering opportunities for birdwatching and observing local wildlife. The Sea Bean Loop specifically benefits from this environment, providing a tranquil setting for your camping adventure.
Based on customer reviews, the campsites within Anastasia Campground Sea Bean Loop are generally considered clean. While one reviewer mentioned that some sites "need a little attention as they drop off hard from the pavement," this seems to be a minor point and doesn't detract significantly from the overall positive experience. It's worth noting this detail for those with specific accessibility needs or preferences for their campsite setup. However, the emphasis on cleanliness suggests that the park management maintains a certain standard for the camping areas.
A significant feature of Anastasia Campground Sea Bean Loop is its exceptional accessibility to a variety of attractions. As highlighted by multiple reviewers, the beach is within walking distance – described as "under a mile 1 way" from at least one campsite and considered a "safe and easy walk." This allows campers to effortlessly enjoy beach activities such as swimming, sunbathing, and simply relaxing by the ocean whenever they desire. The convenience of being able to walk to the beach directly from your campsite adds immense value to the overall camping experience.
Beyond the beach, Anastasia Campground also offers easy access to walking trails within Anastasia State Park. This provides opportunities for exploration, exercise, and further immersion in the natural environment. Whether you're interested in a leisurely stroll or a more challenging hike, the park's trail system likely offers something for every fitness level and interest.
Another unique and highly convenient feature of Anastasia Campground Sea Bean Loop is its proximity to the St. Augustine Amphitheater. According to a reviewer, it is possible to walk from the campsite to the amphitheater, which is located right next door. This makes the campground an ideal base for those attending events, concerts, or the popular Saturday morning farmers market held at the amphitheater. The ability to walk to such events eliminates the hassle of parking and adds a unique cultural dimension to your camping trip.
One reviewer specifically mentioned their tent campsite (number 004) as being "roomy" and offering a mix of sun and shade, catering to different preferences for campsite conditions. They also reiterated the ease of walking or driving to the beach and the convenience of walking to the farmers market at the amphitheater on Saturday mornings. This personal account provides valuable insight into the specific advantages of camping within the Sea Bean Loop.
Furthermore, this reviewer, who mentions having gluten-free dietary needs, enthusiastically noted the availability of gluten-free options in the vicinity, particularly at the farmers market. While not a direct feature of the campground itself, the proximity to such amenities that cater to specific dietary needs can significantly enhance the overall experience for some campers.
It is important to acknowledge, as one reviewer pointed out, that "This campground is very hard to get into." This high demand suggests its popularity and the positive experiences of past visitors. It underscores the need to plan well in advance and make reservations as soon as possible to secure a campsite at Anastasia Campground Sea Bean Loop.
Given the information available, there are no specific promotional offers or discounts mentioned in the reviews. As Anastasia Campground Sea Bean Loop is part of Anastasia State Park, reservations are typically handled through the Florida State Parks system. Information regarding fees, availability, and reservation procedures can usually be found on the official Florida State Parks website or by contacting the park directly. It is advisable to check these official sources for any potential seasonal promotions or discounts that might be available.
In conclusion, Anastasia Campground Sea Bean Loop offers an exceptional "camping near me" experience in St. Augustine, Florida. Its prime location within Anastasia State Park provides access to beautiful beaches, scenic trails, and the unique amenity of being within walking distance of the St. Augustine Amphitheater and its events, including a Saturday morning farmers market with diverse food options. While one reviewer noted a minor issue with campsite pavement, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a strong desire to return. The cleanliness of the campsites and the family-friendly atmosphere further enhance its appeal. However, its popularity means that reservations are highly recommended and should be made well in advance to secure your spot for a memorable camping getaway.

Anastasia Campground Sea Bean Loop Reviews
I have many childhood memories of camping with family and friends here. Now, I got to return with my own family and started an amazing journey that I can share with them. The campsites are clean and they do need a little attention as they drop off hard from the pavement. You can walk to the beach. It was under a mile 1 way from our site and safe and easy walk. You can walk the trails. You can also walk from the campsite to the amphitheater right next door.I am already looking for the next open weekend so we can go back. This campground is very hard to get into.
Mar 16, 2025 · Keith SnyderTent camp site 004 roomy sun and shade. Walk or drive over to the beach, walk to farmers market at amphitheater on Saturday morning. And if you know me!!! Gluten free options here!! Lots of fun!
Apr 13, 2024 · J JThe park is nice but the campground is so poorly designed. It's a shame because the trees are beautiful and there is a nice buffer space however everything from the overly narrow entrance gate to the turns surrounded by concrete domes, to the campground loop entrances with fences to narrow your path all seems designed simply to make it possible to damage your RV. And there's absolutely no reason for any of these obstructions as there is plenty of space, but whoever designed this place seems intent to make it more likely for you to damage your RV.
Dec 28, 2022 · nick dThe ocean was less than appealing, it was giving off lake erie vibes, but the camping....the Absolute BEST !!! Beautiful, peaceful, a little close to other campers, but it doesn't even matter !
Jun 12, 2023 · HannahHave met nice people, please SloW Down, speed limits are 5mph in campground, 15 mph in access lanes and 25 in open areas, children and pets abound, you came to relax, no sin if you're pokey.
